A first attempt in a long while of a proper full-colour piece with shading.
I've always liked Golem's, I think I was introduced to them via RPG video games but Terry Pratchetts depiction of them really put them in my heart. There's always something so powerful and yet sad about them.
Agaisnt the storm is a very fun city builder with some really cool lore, one bit of which is the mysterious queen who we never really see- aside from her mask of course.
Kroot & Krootling! My favourite part of the whole Tau empire; which in my opinion should have been Star Treks Federation rather than a weird mash of Gundam and Red China tropes, but I digress.
I like their eating/absorbtion based powers and how they're kind of just chill as far as beings go in the 40k 'verse.
I'd like to play as Big Dad Kroot in a 40k RPG someday.
Someone put the feeling into words!
I can remember playing very early beta/late alpha minecraft. The one where you spawned in a simple wooden house and had to kill sheep to get their wool.
It had such a weird ethereal feel to the gameplay, and now that it’s more of a normal “game” with an end that you can work towards it’s more and more divorced from the feel of it’s original soundtrack.
Also Notch is a cunt, but that goes without saying.
the minecraft nostalgia phenomenon is so odd. like so many people my age have formative memories of being thrown into an oddly empty world for an unfinished game & hearing the occasional ambient piece that was equal parts dinky and profoundly morose. like our mario 1-1 theme is c418 sweden
As a person who worked in a government office, this really pissed me off. We could all just actually do work until its time to leave each day and therefore get everything done faster for the people of our country whom we are supposed to work for, but they don't assign enough actual stuff to do per person per day if they just did it.
The reason why most government services are slow and clunky is because if I tried to, as an individual, make it run smoother or faster, I get told off or fired. They only want people who can pretend to be busy or toe the line of minimum actual output.
seriously have been thinking about this all night long. call me autistic but the fact that 90% of workplaces the point is not to get your work done and then be done doing it but to instead perform an elaborate social dance in which you find something to do even when you're done doing everything you need to do in order to show your fellow workers that you, too, are Working . because you are at Work . disgusting why cant we all agree that if there is no work immediately to be done. we just dont do anything

A "restrained" flesh-witch from the RPG Heart: The City Beneath. One of my favourite TTRPG's for both how its classes are all uniquely weird variants of common RPG classes and how the worldbuilding is dripping with origionality and flavour.
Also I tried a few visual abberation tricks with this one, hopefully to give it a more eldritch or mystical feeling.
