Kim Kitsuragi is a fascinating character because there's not that much fun or interesting or compelling about him. And yet somehow over the course of playing Disco Elysium the game rewires your fucking brain around him. He's the middest man you've ever seen in both appearance and personality but at some point he says something kind to you or something critical of you and you feel like you just got hit by a truck and you need his approval like you need oxygen and like how tf did this happen. what are you

Question for OC (Original Character) havers:
Context below
The context here is that I see quite a few people saying things like, oh I was waiting for a reason/excuse to draw this character, as well as me really hoping I could get people's characters on art chains, but then feeling bad that I was essentially taking their chance to have someone more skilled, or who draws in a style they like better to get their OC. I also don't have the time to join something like Artfight, even if I did trust my skill, and I'm sure there are others in the same boat.
So of course I was thinking, why not just draw someone's OC if I like them? I already do this with my friends who I know don't mind, but what about mutuals you don't know as well, and things like that?
(And to be clear, this came about because I have a few characters I'd love to draw who belong to others who I'm not close enough with to just assume permission, but I think it probably will always come down to permission, even if I feel weird asking.)
