- Synths can age, but only if programmed to. They can be programmed to age naturally or they can be programmed to age to a certain point and then stop. Synths that have stopped age can have their aging process started again via reprogramming.
- The favourite food of all Gen 3 Synths is Fancy Lad Snack Cakes. Scientists are trying to find out why but haven’t discovered an exact reason yet. That’s right fellow Danse lovers; Mr Stoic Tin Can loves cake.
-Synths cannot gain weight or lose weight, a Synth that is built to be fat cannot become thin and vice versa. Unlike aging this doesn’t appear to be reversible.
-A Synth that becomes self-aware enough to express loyalty to The Institute is disposed of, The Institute dislikes Synths having free will even if it works in their favour.
-Members of the institute can have “Personal Synths” built to act as their maid, personal assistant, or lover. One such Synth named Eve was built to act as a replacement wife to a Scientist and his son when the original woman died.
-The Institute is building Synth animals as a pet project to see if they can one day repopulate extinct species.
-The scientists working on Synth Shaun are disturbed by him because they are growing to love him and see him as a real little boy instead of just as a machine. This could partly be why they don’t like creating child synths.

Fallout 3 is actually a really sad game when you think about it. The main character, The Lone Wanderer, is an incredibly tragic character.
The Lone Wanderer’s mother dies giving birth to them. Their father runs away leaving them stranded and alone, launched into a dangerous, cruel, and unforgiving world of monsters, both human and otherwise.
Death, destruction, chaos, madness, brutality, gore, mutilation, agony, poverty, loss, and darkness. The Lone Wanderer witnesses these things and experiences their fair share of it personally.
And then, after crossing the entire hellish wasteland at least twice over, they find their father, only to have him taken away from them again. But this time it’s permanent. After crossing a ruined world of nuclear ash, their own father sacrifices himself and they have to watch him slowly die, powerless to stop it.
Their childhood friends disown them and banishes them from their own home. The man who murdered their father somehow lived. There alone in a world that will kill them even for being a morally just person.
And if you play Point Lookout, there’s a hallucination sequence that is especially creepy. You find ‘bubbleheads’ that read out mocking descriptions.
Intelligence: “Tsk. Tsk. Walked right into another trap. Exactly how stupid are you?“
Strength: “This is one situation you’re not going to be able to fight your way out of.“
Endurance: "Keep it up, you’re almost there… wherever ‘there’ may be… probably nowhere."
Agility: "Isn’t it funny how everyone you get close to ends up leaving?"
Perception: "This doesn’t look right, not right at all."
Charisma: "Blech. If my kid looked like that, I’d abandon it too."
Luck: "Dead mother, life in a post-nuclear Wasteland and not a friend in it. Yeah, you aren’t exactly blessed."
The Lone Wanderer has it rougher than any other character I’ve seen in a video game.
I don’t even know what to say. Felt that sinking feeling when I first heard the news. Could have a melancholic chuckle from how the fandom always joked that this series would never have an end. We always knew in the back of our minds. Now it’s here. There’s nothing I could say that hasn’t been said already. I just can’t express my absolute adoration to such a beautiful and amazing series with such a wonderful story, art, and memorable characters, even the most minor of them.
Like the thousands of fans of Kentaro Miura’s influential and darkly beautiful work, Berserk. We give all our love and thanks for creating this legendary masterpiece.
Rest well and thank you, Mr. Miura.
Danse: When you found out you were a synth... was it hard?
Nick: Why would it be? You are still you. It's who you're, what you were before is what you are now, just you have a few "upgrades"
Danse: Then why can't I cope?
Nick: Because of what you were taught to believe. You were taken in and helped by your one sole purpose in life. It's hard to break away from stuff like that. It's gonna take time you know. It's not easy I'll admit, but once you accept it, it will just become apart of life like there was nothing wrong... Before you knew, I assume life was as it was. You just have some new knowledge now that some people can't cope with. That's the only difference and that's why it's so hard to be who you're. But that's doesn't matter. The only one that matters is you. What you believe and how it makes you feel...
Danse: Wow. Thank you. I feel... hated but maybe-
Nick: I never had a problem with you per say. You were a decent man, you still are. Don't let Maxson do this to you. You are you, you're still an honourable man...
Danse: Maybe.
Nick: What is it about being a synth that makes you less a man than you were before you knew? Before you knew you were still a synth Danse. Before they knew, you were still what you're now. The only difference is that now they know it's pissed them off that one of their bravest Paladins was what they hate. Nothing more... you are still Danse to everyone here and you're a better man for it, trust me.
Danse: I never thought of it that way.
Nick: You're a smart man Danse. You'll figure it out. Besides no matter what happens, there will always be people in this world that accept you. That includes me.
Danse: And I accept you then.
Nick: I know that's a hard thing for you to do...
Danse: No. Not anymore. We're friends. That's what friends do, yes?
Nick: *laughs* Glad to know you're learning.
My last comic, but I’ve cut it into parts to make it easier for people to read!
Gnick eats his first Snack cake in 200 years - it’s quite an experience - for best viewing, listen to ‘Morning Dreams’ by Ladyhawke - the fancy lad hits him 11 seconds in! (I also want to thank Mac for helping me with this! I struggled a bit with the anatomy and hat angles, and if they hadn’t have helped me with them I probably would have got frustrated with this and not finished it!)
