I’m so glad Ikuno feels better. I was so worried about her after Ep 21 and seeing her like this, working with others and peacefully talking with Ichigo, makes my whole day better.
Seeing all the rushed st*rco development on my feed has left me not surprised but still disappointed. Especially, since it’s only been a day or so since Star has dumped Tom. They really did my boy dirty. Thanks, writers.
recently i got a job as an Art Director™️ at a Huge Advertising Agency®️ and sometimes i stop my silly little tasks to just think.. wow.. can my boss even imagine that a tumblr account dedicated to the sims was the thing that made my little brain develop the skills required to do this job..

Starco shippers are heartbroken, tomco and tomstar and other shippers are rejoicing, and I’m over here being one of the five Star/Tom/Marco shippers and feeling somewhere in between..
“In the United States A policeman Killed a black man He couldn’t breathe In Brazil, Every 23 minutes, Our youth are executed By this state. Enough! Stop the massacres! Police are murderers!”
video and translation by Andrew Fishman, source here
this is Rio de Janeiro right now. a wave of protests are about to burst out in Brazil real soon, caused by a LOT of things. police brutality is one of them but this is also about our genocidal and fascist president, jair bolsonaro. last month, being asked about the rising numbers of deaths caused by the COVID-19 (which are killing more black and poor people than whites btw) bolsonaro said: “so what? what do you want me to do?”. yeah. he is this type of bigot piece of shit.
so i’m expecting y’all to extend your empathy to the minorities from outside the US too.
if you want to know more about our politics, there’s this video (a bit outdated, but one of the best videos in english i saw on youtube about the topic), this video by vox (it’s like a complement to the past video) and i recommend watching the documentary “the edge of democracy” on Netflix.
www(.)tbs(.)co(.)jp/anime/hoshiai/special/impressions(.)html can you please translate and share this?
*just a note before the translation, I think I saw some promotion of this page as a way to talk to petition to the production committee for more Hoshiai content but from what I see it’s more like a raffle/prize draw than a ‘survey’ intended for check if people want a second season.
It’s like ‘enter for the chance to win these goods’, and you tweet about your favourite scene from the show, still it doesn’t hurt to use the hashtag and raise the show’s profile/get people talking about it so totally no loss trying!
Using the show’s Japanese hashtag #星合の空 regularly is a nice way to show people still care about the show!!

“Aroace people aren’t straight but they still have straight privilege!”
Not being able to talk openly about my orientation without fear of ridicule isn’t “straight privilege”.
Not being able to mention my orientation without worry that it will impact my reputation as a professional or as a student is not “straight privilege”.
Not being able to talk about my orientation in front of most of my family without fear of them rejecting me isn’t “straight privilege”.
Not seeing any representation of people like me in the media isn’t “straight privilege”.
Not having any education that people like me exist isn’t “straight privilege”.
People telling you that you’re making your orientation up to be special or different isn’t “straight privilege”.
People being uncomfortable with you mentioning your orientation and telling you that no-one needs to know isn’t “straight privilege”.
Being told that your orientation isn’t real isn’t “straight privilege”.
Being told that your orientation is probably a symptom of some medical condition isn’t “straight privilege”.
People assuming things about your life and history based on your orientation isn’t “straight privilege”.
Your orientation being treated as a political stance or a lifestyle choice is not “straight privilege”.
No, aroace people are not systematically oppressed for our orientation. As far as the system cares we do not exist. Not existing, as far as most of society cares, is not “straight privilege”.
The only time I have “straight privilege” is when I don’t talk about my orientation. At all. The only time I have “straight privilege” is when I let people assume I am straight.
And frankly, having to be silent about my orientation to be respected by the straight majority, isn’t a privilege.
