Mattle: Let’s put Apple White and Raven Queen in the same room! totaly cool!

Mattle: let’s for now Apple to be a fanatic for a fucking pathetic destiny and push Raven to be bad, so very fanatic hug her whenever she does something bad.

Matle: now we make them hold hands! It is totally friendly!

Matle: and now what about  Raven  telling to Apple that she is not being the Apple White that Raven loves and knows? Friends do that!

Mattle: And now let’s make them look to each other like cute thing!

Mattle: Wait! even better! now they paint their hair the color of each other? for school spirit! good idea! best enemies! And take a picture together! holding hands! and in the end they decide to do it together and take a picture to put in frames!

Mattle: NO! much better !!! we climb the scenes! a film where Apple releases the evil queen, almost kills herself, cries holding her picture whit Raven holding hands with warm smiles and does not sleep, and just think in Raven! Where she go to the enchanted forest and melts all looking at Raven! So cute and friendly! And Raven cries and confess that she really likes Apple and she wants ravenge against her mother! HER FUKING MOTHER (Okay she is evil, but stills Raven’s mother)

Mattle: And still, we always like! where they now begin to do more scenes together! Even take Briar of the new opening and put Apple down one funking   bean, style heroic and  Raven in the window with a charmingly beautiful to look at her!

sometimes i feel like having a bare minimum knowledge of how structures of power rule this world through capitalism is a curse that keeps you from ever being truly happy and capable of just. enjoy things again. like the good old days. when you used to play the sims and not think about how a life simulation game this big won't ever be able to simulate your life and culture because a) you are not american. b) the game is made by a multibilion american company for americans and you just started playing it in the first place bc of piracy and cultural imperialism. your parents made you learn english when you were younger so you could maybe leave the country and live a better life than the one they had but the internet happened while you were growing up and every single piece of information you wanted was accesible only in english so you start thinking. ok why everything is so centered around the usa. why is their culture depicted through their media as the default culture. why am i only able to see myself and my culture through their distorted lenses. Now all of Pearl’s songs, above all “it’s over isn’t it”, hurt more than EVER. All of her pain and trouble make MUCH MORE SENSE now.

Let’s start from the beggining:

Hear me out: she never stopped serving her diamond. All this time, all through the years up until Rose had Steven, she was still serving her diamond.

We think Pearl is free and strong and all you want and that’s what they’ve made us think, but she was still under her Diamond’s orders, no matter that Pink told her that “not telling everyone their secret” was her last order. Just by being by Rose’s side, Pearl was still bound to obey and accept everything Rose told her, everything Rose believed, everything Rose did. She hadn’t let go of her ties with her diamond.

And if you don’t believe me, I address you to:

“When you live for someone you’re prepared to die.”

She still lived for Pink Diamond. She was ready to die for her Diamond.

Without Pink Diamond, she’s nothing, no one, has no purpose.

She loved Pink so much and thought Pink loved her back, thought she was the most important being out there, and when Steven was brought into the picture, she realized she meant nothing to her, not a goddamn shit.

She wanted her Diamond back with her so much, omg. She did really feel like her whole fucking world, all of it, had gone when Pink did.

“It’s over isn’t it” isn’t only Pearl singing about losing the love of her life, it’s Pearl singing that EVERYTHING she ever did, EVERYTHING she became for her diamond and EVERYTHING she sacrificed, all the lies, the risk, the fucking torture, all of it is over for Rose, but she still has to carry the guilt and the pain and be in a place she didn’t want to be in to begin with. She only ever did what she did for Pink so they could be happy together after the war, but now Pink’s gone, and she’s still here.

This is only 14 years after losing Pink, and what’s 14 years to a gem??? Nothing. She’s getting over Pink pretty fast for the long history they’ve got on their backs, tbh.

I’m so glad she can tell the truth now and get rid of that pain.
