I FREAKING LOVE KIPO AND THE AGE OF WONDERBEASTS.

Kipo gave us (slight spoilers):

A biracial lead character

A main cast made up of only characters of color

An lgbt+ character and a love interest

A soundtrack that absolutely SLAPS

Kickass animation especially in action sequences

Please go watch it, it’s amazing and deserves another season

When people say they support aspecs but only talk about asexuality

A few words on this lovely lady

Some of you might be aware that this extraordinarly beautiful fusion is, quite obviously, visually based on Revolutionary Girl Utena. Specifically, our two main leads, Anthy and Utena.

This is incredibly interesting for two reasons. One, Rebecca Sugar has stated that Revolutionary Girl Utena was a huge influence on her. To the point where Pearl draws heavy inspiration from the title character Utena.

So the fact that her fusion with Pink Pearl resembles Anthy and Utena, draws a connection between Pink and Anthy. And, when you look at both Pearl and Pink, you can see the connection!
