ok i shipp it
Guys, not to be a timebomb hater (which I'm not) but am I the only one who thinks the "Ma Meilleure Ennemie" song fits Vi/Jinx much better than Ekko/Jinx?
Like how Jinx's best enemy is Ekko?
I can understand it from an Ekko perspective, but Jinx's greatest enemy and love always was and always will be her sister Vi (and the same the other way around).
Also the phrase "why does hearing your name hurt me?" which fits SUPER WELL with the fact that Vi spent the entire series trying to accept that her sister is Jinx now, which Ekko had already accepted long ago.
Anyway, don't take this too seriously, the song is still obviously a timebomb song, I just think it doesn't fit them as well as it does with Vi and Jinx.
No, I’m NOT well.
The writers may as well have spit in her face by making her participate in gassing Zaunites with Caitlyn. Vi knows kids work for the Chembarons. She knows the dire situation in Zaun and what lengths people have to go to survive. She would never agree to it.
AND in S1, Caitlyn would’ve left her in Stillwater if she hadn’t agreed to help // said “The Undercity is gonna eat you alive.”
I’m going to SCREAM if I think about this any longer.
I love the sibling relationship Vi has (with Ekko) and the romantic relationship Vi has (with Jinx) ((delusional))
Thank you, Fallout, for giving this particular line to Ella Purnell.
queen shit
i am unwell 🫠
is it a hot take to say that i never really felt like caitvi worked all that well even back in season 1 as a romantic pairing and vastly preferred it as a platonic relationship? it worked so much better as a begrudging, transactional deal between her and vi, and its quick advancement to romantic feelings between the two was always one of S1's weaker elements. and then S2 happened. the scene being a good representation piece aside (which is a MASSIVE win, in case anyone misunderstands me) the issues i have with the pairing only grew ten times worse. even putting aside the gross implications of the social dynamics at play, it all just feels so... rushed. i'm supposed to believe that vi would leave her sister to run off with very clear signs of suicidal behaviour in order to get down and dirty with this topsider she's known for... what, a few days? with a six month gap between their last meeting which ended with caitlyn assaulting her and saying she's just like her sister, just like the "animals" in the undercity? the same sister who, in season 1, was vi's explicit motivator for surviving seven hellish years of prison when her life fell apart all around her?
what was once an uninteresting pairing to me has now become one i outright dislike, because it wasn't given anywhere near enough time to be properly developed, leading to horrendously out of character actions from vi and taking focus away from her and jinx, the fucking PROTAGONISTS of the show.
