when i tell you this man would scream at the top of his fucking lungs

he would do his best to stop the bleeding, but would also make fun of you as your face paled

“big strong y/n couldn’t handle a bullet, huh?” (this is the man who sat down and buried his head in his hands and hyperventilated after scraping his knee during a night out drinking)

he’d be there the entire time, but wouldn’t try to fight medical professionals from taking you off

“bitch, wake up”

he wouldn’t be allowed in the hospital room, and get pissed off, and proceed to tweet angrily outside. he knew you wouldn’t die, but he was scared you would, and it would be without him there to help you.

once you were awake, you’d probably send him some shit like this ^

he would then proceed to immediately run to your room and violently noogie you before hugging you

GHOST

now.. something is wrong with this man. he wouldn’t scream, he wouldn’t start crying out of anger or anything healthy. he lets out a guttural wail inside of his head as soon as he sees you’ve been downed.

if you’re near him, he’d drag you to a closed part of a building and desperately but calmly try stopping the blood. he’s learned a lot of tactics, and making himself appear like he’s staying calm is one of them.

his heartbeat is about 500 beats per minute rn. your flesh is now pale, which is unnerving considering your usual skin tone. he’s not trained in patching others up, and he doesn’t know how to fix that. he says something and you don’t respond so he raises his voice and goes “Stay with me, kid.”

incoherently mutters into comms, just completely trailing off

just cradling you the entire time until evac arrived, which he tried to follow but went with price and soap

if he was not by you, he’d keep asking questions until he got answers or he didn’t

“ C/N, come in. Do you copy?”

(radio silence)

“C/N, do you copy?”

“ . . . “

“..Fuck.”

moves through rooftops to find you, scouring the city like some kind of demented superhero.

he’d send out like 5 calls for an evac when you didn’t respond, but he’s searching in his spare time

NEARLY broke down crying when he found you slumped in a tiny apartment

he definitely thought you were dead and the anxiety in his voice was real. a tear and a sniffle or two might have been shed before he found the weak pulse in your neck

doesn’t move from your side ONCE, he stays up for days straight until you wake up or is slumped in a barstool

SOAP

thinks you’re joking for the first 2 minutes after you say you’ve been hit

SPRINTS to your location

you’re always together so of course he blames himself that in the 5 minutes you were apart a bullet tears through your chest

when panicked he just starts speaking heavily accented english or full out scots gaelic (he learned it from an old teammate), not out of choice but he noticed it keeps your mind moving when he does so he keeps doing it

one time while injured you went “gaelic more like GAY LICK” and then passed out and he laughed then cried

always thinks he’s going to end up in a vietnam war veteran position holding you

while carrying you to evac you repeated one of ghosts shitty jokes and he nearly dropped you out of fear/temporary resentment

the last words you hear before you die are going to be a mix of “hells fuckin bells” or “sweet baby jesus”

PRICE

this man’s friends are all dead. he’s had men die in his arms before and he’s scared every time that it’s going to be you

Alright, can someone tell me if I’m being stupid, cause I don’t know if I’m missing a point or something. So, we all know that Ghost wears a mask when he’s on deployment, but I also see a lot of people putting him in civilian settings (off base without other soldiers around / with his partner etc.) with the mask on, too.

I’m not sure if I’m genuinely just being stupid here (lmao 😭) but doesn’t that defeat the purpose of the mask? His enemies don’t know what he looks like because of the mask. Not many people wear skull balaclavas when they’re just going about their business, so it would make him stand out more.

For example, if he was going shopping with his partner, and for some reason his enemy was there, they might assume it’s him because of the balaclava, thus putting his partner in danger as a result. They’d just go ‘Oh look, it might or might not be Ghost, and who’s that with him? Hmmm they might be important, let’s kidnap them and use their existence against him! :D’

Like, if I worked with him and then when I went on leave I saw this big ass man with a skull balaclava I’d go ‘oh, look, it’s Ghost in the wild’. Like you’d just know it’s him - the mask would lose its purpose and put his family in danger instead of protecting them like it was originally designed to do.

But if I worked with him, and saw him barefaced in town, I’d have no idea it’s him because the balaclava would be gone. I wouldn’t spare him a second glance because I’d just assume it’s some random man going about his business. I’d have no idea it’s him because there’s no mask.

Not to mention the balaclava would make him look sus af in public 😭 I live in England myself and have seen security in shops tell people (mainly teenagers, if you live here you know who I mean) to take off their masks. If he refused, he’d be in deep shit for refusing to cooperate. Even if he showed his ID, it wouldn’t help cause they can’t see his face.

Anywho, idk I’m just rambling atp but I feel like him wearing the mask outside of deployment doesn’t really make sense? 😭 I might just be missing a point or something idk

Edit: Speaking of Covid masks, I feel like he’d like the times when we all wore them because atp masks most likely bring him a sense of comfort. However, the moment people stop wearing them out and about, he probably would, too.

You cursed as you ran towards Price‘s office. Soap had pulled a prank on you by turning back your clock…by 3 fk hours. Price had been in a very bad mood lately Duo to you failing at a mission that had been very important. The entire task 141 hated you already and you cannot really say that anyone else liked you. Price had called you to their office today but ofc you were late. Your illness has been catching up on you.

schizophrenia

You got it diagnosed but refused to take your pills often since they were super expensive. You took one half a day ago and wanted to get this over with soon. You did not know how much longer it would work.

You knocked on the door only to be greeted with a stern voice. “Come in. Now.” That definitely was not a good way to start.

You entered making sure the door closed silent. You looked at price him only pulling up your file. Ghost was next to him he gave Price some more files. You could see others faces on it. _He is going to replace you_ You shrugged that one off hoping it was just your inner voice.

Before you could even say anything Price suddenly screamed at you, you even saw Ghost flinch a bit. ( you and ghost are neutral in this storyline bc I said so. Also the 141 does not actually hate you that is just c/n telling themselves)

“DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW MANY PROBLEMS YOUR STUPIDITY CAUSED ALL OF US?!”

“I-“

“I AM GIVING YOU ONE LAST CHANCE! DO NOT DARE TO FACE ME AGAIN UNTIL YOU EITHER DECIDED I COULD BRING IN SOMEONE MORE USEFUL THAN YOU OR YOU BECAME USEFUL.”

You would have lied by saying that you were ok. Hell you were sure Ghost could see you shivering. You had to do smt so you just ran out. You just ran. As fast and as far as you could.

“Look who is running.” “The fuck.” “Hey what are you doing crybaby.” Suddenly 13-15 voices started talking in your head. You wanted to scream at them. You suddenly felt watched. “C/N wait!” You heard Price. “Soldier!” Ghost’s voice spoke.

No. Not now. You cannot face them. Stupid voices. It was all too loud and too scary. You wanted to take a step back only to noticed you were on the edge of a cliff.

A few minutes back into Price’s office:

“Fuck.” Price just said. He knew what he just did was terrible. He knew you were not useless but he was too stressed and was not thinking about what he was saying. “I will look for him.” Ghost said before making his way to the door. Price noticed a white box( package whatever you would keep pills in) on the ground. Ghost picked it up and read out loud- “schizophrenia- Price!” Never had the Captain ever jumped off his seat so fast. Chasing after you.

Now back to you

You heard every voice in your head telling you to still take that step. You started hallucinating. Small but duo to your situation convincing enough to make you step back. You already felt arms wrap around you, pulling onto safe grounds. The next pair of arms wrapped around you. They held you tight. So very tight. “Y/N…”

No words were needed that day.

141 took notice of your illness and made sure to help you out.

Price and Ghost would make sure there was always one person with you.

They also made sure you got more time of.

Or different scenario for people who are not comfy with small Angst:

You were new and small and ofc scared

Price trained some Rookies, you included

He was a rather rash teacher so when you failed at doing something duo to you being so small( or at least not a fk giraffe. ) he got mad

He screamed at you for not having trained enough

It would be no lie if you said you avoided him to your death

Even when you passed each other you would make sure there was a huge space between you two

Price would later realize why you avoided him and most definitely would give a flowers as an apology

Old man would scream at the others

Ghost would cover your ears and then calmly explain you how to do it right.
