Hey girly girl, how to shift? Like, I can't reach the void state, so that's out. Methods don't work for me, cause I get frustrated and roll over to sleep. Manifesting IDK IT TAKES AGES... and affirming there my thoughts drift off.. and rn I am unmotivated to shift when I try, but I rlly do WANT to go home. ☹️
how to shift : your all-in-one guide . . . (the only things you have to know…ever !)
i , what even is shifting? shifting is the art of moving your consciousness from one reality to another. it’s not magic, it’s not luck, it’s just focus and belief wrapped in a little cosmic bow. think of it like choosing which movie to watch. you’re the one holding the remote.
ii , forget the void for a sec : the void state is not the only way, nor is it the end-all-be-all. think of it like one specific door in a house with infinite entrances. if the void’s being dramatic, just walk around it. shifting doesn’t need that kind of fanfare. you can shift in any state: sleepy, frustrated, even mid-yawn.
iii , methods, shmethods : methods are tools, not rules. if you’re trying one and it’s not vibing with you, ditch it! think of methods as cute little recipes; if you don’t like what you’re cooking, toss in your own spices. and guess what? you don’t even need a method. your intention is the main character here, and everything else is just the supporting cast.
iv , manifesting doesn’t have to take ages : manifesting isn’t about sitting there like a monk waiting for enlightenment. it’s like planting seeds: you plant them, you water them, and then you trust the sun to do its thing. start small. affirm gently. even a passing thought like, “ugh, i’m so over this reality” is a mini-manifestation in itself. you’re building the vibe brick by brick.
v , affirmations are your sneaky little sidekick : if your thoughts drift, let them. you’re not running a military bootcamp in your brain. affirmations work even when you’re distracted because they’re sneaky like that. say them casually, like you’re humming a song. “i’m already there” or “it’s happening now.” keep it simple and breezy.
vi , unmotivation nation… we’ve all been there : listen, shifting doesn’t demand motivation; it demands surrender. the kind of surrender that’s like, “ok, universe, you win. take me where i need to go.” you’re allowed to rest in the in-between. you’re allowed to feel blah. you’re allowed to be human and divine at the same time.
vii , you already want it? guess what. it’s yours : wanting to go home is half the battle won. the desire is your proof. it’s like your reality is already calling you, whispering your name through the veil. stop thinking of it as trying and start thinking of it as returning. you don’t try to breathe, do you? you just breathe. shifting is the same.
꒰ basic steps, simplified :
◞ set your intention : decide where you’re going and get crystal clear about it. script it out if that helps.
◞ prepare your space : make your environment cozy. this isn’t mandatory, but it helps set the mood.
◞ choose a method or freehand it : julia method, raven method, bla bla bla method, affirming till you fall asleep, visualising, just vibing, it’s all valid.
◞ focus or daydream : picture your dr, feel it, or simply say, “i’m already home.”
◞ surrender : let go of the pressure. relax into the process. let the universe work its magic.
꒰ some final tips :
◞ romanticise the process : make shifting feel dreamy, not stressful. light a candle, sip some tea, wear your favourite socks. vibe check your environment.
◞ detach from the outcome : this isn’t a college exam; you don’t need an a+ in shifting. let the energy flow.
◞ sleepy shifting is underrated : drifting off with your dr in mind? chef’s kiss.
◞ turn frustration into power : that “uuuugh why isn’t it working” energy? channel it into something fierce. you’re the god of your reality. act like it.
that's it. that's literally it. you don't need ANYTHING else except your mind. bam.
remember, you’re not chasing shifting. you’re already holding hands with it, swaying gently in the wind like a little cosmic dance. shifting isn’t something you achieve; it’s something you allow. you’re the prophet of your own life, the controller of the sands. so go forth, messiah in training, and shift like the world is your oyster. because it is.
one of my main shifting motivations at the moment is reading, books, literature, writing all of it. I used to be an avid reader back in my day, but unfortunately the rise of social media has killed my attention span. the last book I read (still currently reading even though I haven't picked it up in months) is Interview With Vampire. I miss the feeling of sitting down with a good book and reading it so fast that a few hours seem just like one.
although I could better my attention span here, pick up a book (finish IWTV) and start my reading journey all over again. something about shifting to a place where the smell of books consume my spirit, something about shifting to a place where books reach the ceiling, something about shifting to a place where I can enjoy my cafe au lait with a book in hand while listening to the birds nearby.
That is what I want, I want my mind to be completely and utterly overwhelmed by the amount of words invading my brain, I want my vocabulary, my writing to improve.
Considering quitting shifting, this shit is not working
Manifestation is easy, and instant all you have to do is assume you have it. You have been manifesting your whole life. The good and the bad. You are now aware that you can manifest anything you want, whenever you want. So, USE IT. Some people don’t even have this information, someone right now is probably wondering how they can make their life better without even knowing about law of assumption. And you especially know about this cozy side of the internet where most people don’t have limiting beliefs, and where people manifested the “illogical” and YOU know about it. Compared to the whole world where there is 7-8 billion people the most notes I saw a law of assumption post here get was in the THOUSANDS compared to the BILLIONS AND BILLIONS OF PEOPLE OUT THERE. You are one lucky fella, I might say YOU KNOW about the law of assumption, YOU KNOW about this side of internet, YOU KNOW the key to the best life imaginable, OUT OF ALL THE PEOPLE IN THE WORLD, YOU KNOW. You know the chances of you being born is? 1 in 400 TRILLION BABES. ONE IN FOUR HUNDRED TRILLION. AND YOU ARE HERE. Given the chances of your ancestors meeting, your parents meeting, the whole process, and YOU are here. YOU ARE A MIRACLE. AND ON TOP OF THAT YOU KNOW ABOUT LAW OF ASSUMPTION. YOU KNOW ABOUT THIS CORNER OF THE INTERNET WHERE PEOPLE GIVE YOU INFORMATION ON HOW TO MANIFEST YOUR DREAM LIFE FOR FREE. ANDD ITS EASY. You can manifest anything babes. You have the key but you’re choosing not to unlock the door. The door to the best life ever.
Thanks to @anitalenia for the dividers
maybe you never left your dr. maybe this is the dream you're having there.
maybe this is the lobby, the waiting room, the voicemail left on your own machine. maybe you’re stranded in the purgatory of a loading screen, waiting for the other you to double-click, to wake up, to retrieve you like lost luggage at jfk. ever think about that? no? well. think harder.
shifting isn’t about departure, it’s about recognition. it’s the pause before the lights go up in the theatre, the split second between dream and waking where your breath catches and you don’t know if you’re in your bed or on a train to venice with someone who only exists in whispers. it’s opening a novel to the middle and realising you’re already inside it, a character penned by some omnipotent hand, waiting to see if you make the final draft.
if the universe is infinite, then every possible version of you exists right now. you in your dream reality. you in your current reality. you in a dimly lit café writing about this exact moment. you in a sun-drenched penthouse, sipping something expensive. you missing the bus by three seconds. you winning an oscar and forgetting to thank your mother. all happening, all at once, as if the cosmos is a film reel tangled in itself, flickering through frames too quickly for the eye to track.
"you know how dreams feel normal while you’re in them?" you ask your barista, who does not have time for this existential monologue. she blinks.
right. yes. moving on. the mandela effect, false memories, time dilation. polite euphemisms for the moments you flicker between selves. that uncanny lurch in your stomach when the streetlight should be on the other side of the road. that one song lyric that wasn’t there before. that creeping certainty that your childhood bedroom had green walls, not blue. the fact that my cocoa was white chocolate and not pistachio white chocolate. that’s not faulty memory. that’s turbulence. that’s the in-between. that’s you with one foot in one world, one foot in another, checking your pockets for a train ticket that doesn’t exist.
there is no single reality. there are only perspectives. (somewhere, nietzsche exhales cigarette smoke, mutters something about eternal recurrence, and pours another drink.)
so, what if this is your dr? what if you already made it and just forgot to notice? what if someone in that reality is writing posts about trying to shift here? what if, right now, someone is sitting in a candlelit room, reading this, thinking, "god, what a strange dream."
and what if you wake up tomorrow, somewhere else, and forget you ever read this? just another dream you had, once.
one of many.
the doubt method
this is a shifting method for the doubters out there. the ones who try to affirm or act as if they’re in their dr yet they contradict themselves by thinking that they’re still in their cr and feel bad about it.
what you have to do is choose two of your drs. the first one (dr 1) is the reality where you’re planning to go, the second one (dr 2) is a reality that you simply like but it’s not your priority.
start affirming of being in your dr 2, but then contradict yourself by saying sentences like “ugh i just know thats not true because i’m actually still in dr 1, that’s so annoying, i really want to be in my dr 2 yet i’m still in dr 1, why??” you basically have to rant about it.
this is similar to when you go against your affirmation out of doubts like “no i’m still in my cr :((“ so you would use this to your advantage and instead go “no i’m still in my dr 1 :((“.
try this and see yourself shift.
edit: someone on tiktok informed me that there’s a similar method so make sure you check that one too, it’s called the nowehere method.
when your brain stops doubting and just automatically goes "Your going to wake up in your dr."
Close your eyes and imagine a lemon 🍋
Now, imagine yourself cutting a lemon. Bring it close and take a bite. What do you feel? Is it sour? Did your face instinctively contort? Does it seem real?
This proves that you don’t need to believe something for your mind and body to experience it.
Now, do the same with your desire. Close your eyes and create a scene where your manifestation is already yours. How does it feel? What thoughts run through your mind? How do you act now that it’s real?
It’s done. It’s yours. Treat it like a memory. Return to this feeling whenever doubts arise.
