What if when Anakin goes to Yoda for counseling about his 'visions of someone close to me dying' Yoda assumes, oh no, Skywalker I'd having visions that Obi-Wan is going to die.

And, rightly concerned, he tells the council so that they may... brace themselves for the inevitability.

Except poor Obi-Wan, right? Is just trying to prepare for his assignment to go hunt down Grievous and maybe somewhere before that get a nap and a little meditation in there but that's never gonna happen because he’s in charge of like a third of this kriffing army and the datawork never ends and now -

Now people keep interrupting him. To talk. Reminisce a little. Drop off sachets of his favorite tea and cookies he hasn't had since he was a baby padawan and Mace laid a hand on his shoulder and stared into his soul for five minutes the other day, just looking like he was about to cry.

Then he’d said; " You are a good man, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and a great jedi master, and I am glad to call you friend, my friend." And then Obi-Wan had wanted to cry and it's all - so nice and, and - and its making him paranoid.

And the council is being super weird about his upcoming mission to utapau and making unexplained last minute changes and now Anakin is being sent with him and Yoda is sending them off with a "Always in motion, the future is" and -

Anyway, Anakin isn't left alone on Coruscant for Sheevy to pry open his nightmares and failures and is instead slowly losing his mind on a transport to the Outer Rim because he's pretty sure he just heard rumors around the Council Chamber that Master Kenobi isn't coming back and Master Kenobi is Obi-Wan and what's that supposed to mean and he panicks and talks to Rex because is Obi-Wan dying?

And Rex panicks and talks to Cody and the 212th hears rumor that Obi-Wan Kenobi is fated to die in battle and they're like oh Hell No.

Cue the most swift and decisive campaign any regulation officer ever fucking saw and fall off a cliff does whomst? No.

Obi-Wan, meanwhile, getting incurably frustrated that everyone seems quite determined that he can't be left alone for five fucking minutes, is getting increasingly short-tempered and even more paranoid, which has him turning to Anakin, who looks guilty and suspicious and devastated all the time.

And Anakin refuses to talk to him.

Which makes him even more paranoid that in spite of their being on the cusp of victory something deeply troubling seems to be going on and Obi-Wan is, of course, suspious that it leads back to the Chancellor. Why else would Anakin keep secrets from him?

(Not as many as he thinks Obi-Wan knows what a pregnant woman feels like in the Force, for fucks sake, Anakin)

Anyway they get back the council is incredibly relieved Obi-Wan is still alive Yoda asks Anakin if he's still troubled by those dreams and Anakin says yes, practically trembling in distress from head to toe.

Cue the Council now concerned that there may be an assassination plot against General Kenobi because what else could endanger his life now?

And cue Obi-Wan immediately hauling Anakin out of the chamber and into an alcove because what dreams, padawan mine?

And Anakin can't say it, of course he can't, I can't I can't I can't over and over and over until Obi-Wan is ready to lose his shit because who is doing this to his padawan?

And rumors start spreading, of course, about the plot against General Kenobi's life and Obi-Wan, waylaid by everyone's best intentions, is just trying to get to this dark tangle of secrets tearing his padawan to pieces ( so unaware that he is seeking the wrong secrets, but so very much on the right track) and Sheev, right, catches wind of these rumors and oh its the perfect corkscrew, isn't it? To twist Anakin around on until he shatters to pieces, fearful of losing his loved ones on all sides -

Except he can't get to Anakin because Anakin is glued to Obi-Wan to protect him from plots, and Sheev needs to separate these two, right? Skywalker is nauseatingly untouchable when Kenobi is by his side.

So Sheev, right, baits Obi-Wan to his office with 'concerns' about Anakin, maybe ready to imply that Anakin has unsuitable desires for a Jedi, maybe use his wife as a wedge to get the Order to drive him out, slightly underaware that the entire clone component of the GAR is on Kenobi Watch because Cody is also losing his shit over this unexplained security risk -

Completely unaware that General Kenobi, right? General Kenobi is riding the edge of going completely feral. His padawan is visibly losing his mind. Everyone keeps whispering just out of range and staring mournfully at his back and he hasn't had a moment to himself in weeks and his men are incredibly tense and the Council is behaving bizarrely and the datawork multiplies exponentially every time he closes his eyes so he hasn't done much of that either and -

Killing General Grievous had felt better than it should have but it still hadn't brought him any relief, So tell me, Chancellor, what you have done to Anakin. What secret you are making him keep.

And oh, what an opportunity, General Kenobi so angry, so open, so... alone in his office with him.

Anakin can't handle the anxiety, pacing outside the senate because - what if something happens? What if something happens? He can't handle - he can’t handle the stress, not with the dreams of losing Padme, not with the whispers that Obi-Wan was going to die -

He barges into the office to find Obi-Wan threatening the Chancellor, what? Why? No! And the Chancellor pleading for Anakin to save him, it was Obi-Wan, he was a traitor, he's going to kill me-

Anakin leaps in between them, Obi-Wan decrying Palpatine as Sith, and that can't be -

And Palpatine, begging for Anakin to save him, promising that he has found a way to save Anakin's wife -

And Obi-Wan’s shock, his disbelief, and then his anger ( oh Anakin, his anger is not at you) and Anakin is losing his mind, he's losing his mind -

He lifts his blade and-

And he sees it. The vision. The true vision.

That it is himself that cuts Obi-Wan down. That it is himself that kills Padme.

That it is himself, the Sith.

Anakin drops his lightsaber, and Darth Sideous howls, enraged, lightning exploding against Anakins back -

"You weak fool!"

He can do nothing but gasp on his knees and burn, as Obi-Wan and the Chancellor duel, the Corrie Guard clashing with the temple guard in the corridor before finally breaking through, and then-

"Commander Fox, execute Order S-"

Obi-Wan cuts clean through his skull, severing his tongue, severing his life-

And everything explodes.

Anakin wakes up in the Halls of Healing. Obi-Wan is at his bedside. There are heavy bandages around Obi-Wan’s eyes, lightning burns across his hands, where he rests them over Anakins.

His master, blind, says "We have won the war." And yet he sounds so defeated when he asks; "Will you not tell me everything now?"

I saw a post about making a comic where a person has both a zombie and a ghost so naturally I had to try it

Pretty sure this is how it went down.

Quarantine has me reliving my ninjago phase and I don’t know how to feel about that

And then fail miserably.
