I just realized Glinda being the narrator means that Elphaba had to have told Glinda about that time she was watching Nessa and those kids started bullying her and she magicked rocks at them and possibly even her birth story if it had been told to Elphaba and I’m spiraling
YOU’RE MY FRIEND NOW 🐝
Another one of my many headcanons is that Avatar spirits actually do get to roam the spirit world freely like 99% of the time. The only time they have to leave the spirit world is when the current Avatar needs guidance or when said Avatar goes into the Avatar state:
Kyoshi: *making out with Rangi in the spirit world*
Roku, in the physical world: Avatar Kyoshi, I seek your council
Kyoshi, pulling away from Rangi with a loud sigh: sorry, gotta take care of the newbie
Rangi, frowning: are you serious!? This is the third time this week! Can’t you just ignore him?
Kyoshi, trying not to laugh: he’s my direct successor, so the answer is gonna be no
Rangi, pouting: fine. Whatever
Kyoshi, kissing her cheek: I’ll be back as soon as I can
*quite some years later*
Aang, hanging with Gyatso: so then I was like *gasps as he feels Korra pull him into the physical world* NO WAY ITS FINALLY HAPPENING!!!! KORRA IS FINALLY SEEKING COUNCIL OH THIS IS SO AWESOME WE ARE GONNA BE BESTIES! DO I LOOK OKAY? I NEED TO PRESENT MYSELF AS A TRUE AVATAR

Just saw your winged!Glinda little snippet, do you have any headcannons for it?
oh babe i wrote that in like literally 5 minutes lmao. BUT- i will try my best
(also i think the drawing is based off an ao3 fic that i haven't read yet so these have nothing to do with that just fyi!)
its impossible for glinda to wash her own wings. as such, the blood stains a bunch of the feathers closest to her back a pink color. Morrible thinks this is hilarious
glinda has to build up all the muscles for her wings from scratch. which means....no flying yet. in fact- she can barely even lift them for days, resulting in them dragging painfully on the ground behind her and having several feathers break off
she's in pretty much constant pain as her body adjusts
the skin at the base of her wings heals in thick, rough scars
glinda is very lightweight now, but she packs a helluva punch. contrary to popular belief, bird bones are strong
she didn't just get the wings: her senses are sharper too (elphie had been thinking about birds not just wings or flight)
they can't get any clothes to fit her at first. they have to design pretty much everything as a halter top that she can step into and pull over her head, leaving her entire back bare. she hates it and she hates the new instinctual vulnerability of it
learning how to fly is easy. learning how to land....not so much
glinda has no one to preen her wings for her. she isn't even aware of how much better she'd feel if her feathers were properly taken care of
she never stops being scared of heights. she just learns how to fly through it
Elphaba being an idealist while Glinda is a realist always gets to me. Like you would expect the girl who’s been ostracized all her life for being green to be cynical and think that the world can’t change. But no, Elphie is all starry eyed and hopeful that she can change the world. That she can fix its wrongs and create a better future, not just for her but for every citizen of Oz.
Meanwhile Glinda, the girl who’s had everything, admiration, money, etc, knows how the world is. She knows that the world is led by those who are popular despite their talent or lack thereof. She knows how to play the game, knows the rules of the game, and knows that not playing by those rules will make you an outsider. She’s already resigned to the world as it is.
gelphie soulmate AU where once two soulmates bond and spend time together, being separated from each other for too long can physically make them sick. the closer the bond, the more painful it is to be apart.
they only find out after elphie flies away.
