Disclaimer: I made this during the Great Hiatus when we had no idea how the leaked heroes were getting their Miraculouses, so I went with the theory that Chat Noir would choose Chloe for Queen "B" without Ladybug/Marinette knowing her identity (it was at the time the only way I could think of Chloe getting a Miraculous, plus only Rena and Queen had been spoiled so Nino wasn't an option). Also all we had were blurry photos, thus QB's suit not matching canon and everyone calling her "Queen B" instead of the full Bee.

Additionally, this was the first chapter to a redemption comic I had planned, so this is kinda the Hit Rock Bottom portion of the story (thus why there's no upward swing). AND I will never finish this as obviously it is BEYOND Non-Canon-Compliant lol

Obviously the plan is for this to be a wake up call (even had a whole "do you know why I picked you" speech from Chat to swing back to a more upbeat point for Chloe to start her Self Reflection on), but I stalled too long and then canon came and made all of this moot lol.

I went through and drew most Marinette eras I could find! I was gonna add emo Mari and socqueline but this took 9 hours... Anyways. Why did fans call PV Marinette Bridget anyway? I think it's cute but an early name for Marinette was Marietta and that could've been cool to use since she's also an earlier Marinette. I kinda wanna do Adrien too.

I took a few wee creative liberties with the Greys for this'n (I mean besides the bunnysuits), but tried to retain their overall vibe.

It almost felt weird doing a relatively "normal" pair of Princesses after that streak of Moment of Clarity, Eye of the Needle, Tower v2 and Beast.

Does Ondine have an angel?

Syren is so no-frills canonically that her angel barely looks like her. In fact she barely looks like Ondine since I gave her Syren's middle part, but I like the princess-y look. I also had to work with the fact that Ondine still doesn't have canon clothes besides a swimsuit. She and Kim have the same jacket, but looking at Cardcaptor Sakura, it's the standard for CLAMP to make the girl version of a uniform jacket more cropped than the boys.

everyone is in love with marinette for her selflessness and her ability to get smooshed like a bug literally whenever

i wish the show used the "being able to change your hero outfit" thing to show character growth or something but hey a girl can dream. anyway my idea was that kagami's first transformation reflects her ideal at the time, the perfect heiress for her family while the second one is her much later in the show when she starts letting go of her mom's expectations of her.

Gosh I love your marinette so much. Especially the way you've written her. Like yes she should be able to kill people. As a treat. She should become an enemy of the state. As a treat. I also loveee her ladybug design especially the eyes, they make her look eerie of that's the word and we love a girl who's eerie

thank you !! she's a lot of fun to think about. i really like the "team captain" aspect of her character in the show and i think its really well done ! but i also wanna see her struggle a little more ? like she needs to fuck up more. she's a child under horrible stress and she deserves to lash out at people who don't deserve it either. she needs to get ugly.

in general i want the au to focus more on how the plot is affecting the characters mentally but also how it's changing the city around them

the true difference between vanilla!marinette and la terreur!marinette is that ours has an invisible homelander that follows her around and gives her horrible advice
