Day 02: Noisy
You ever think too much and just yeah
Day 6: Drooling. Inspired by the Lily of the valley flower. 🌼
For this post, I wanted to highlight someone who I've recently been looking up to, and that is: Rowena Tsai!
I get so much encouragement from her posts, and she just seems like a kind, genuine soul.
I find it humbling when Rowena talks about her personal struggles and flaws in her YouTube videos. She provides a positive, gentle take to those issues, along with book/article recommendations and inspiring quotes.
For that, I'm thankful for artists and bloggers who use their own vulnerability and put their narratives out there that I really resonate with.
One of the phrases that she uses the most is, "voice hug!" so I like to think that this is a creative way of giving her a hug!
Thank you @rowenatsai for all that you do 😊
My last piece for 2020. I've been resting and being with friends and family (virtually). If you haven't been able to do much lately because the clouds have been weighing you down, I just want to let you know that I see you and I'm with you. There's one quote that I go to that gives me a sense of peace, hopefully it can be for you too: "And I know sometimes you cannot breathe deeply, and the night sky is no home, and you have cried yourself to sleep enough times that you are down to your last two percent. But nothing is infinite, not even loss. You are made of the sea and the stars, and one day you are going to find yourself again." -- Finn Butler It's been an extremely difficult year, but I hope that you all take care and be gentle with yourselves, knowing that these hard times will pass. I'm going to take time off away from here too, but looking forward to what the new year has in store. Stay safe and warm, and thank you for being here 🤍
Success! I updated my portfolio site

Recently I entered an art poster contest for Amazon Prime's series, Lore! I didn't get selected, but at least I got to practice painting and participate in something really cool 😀 Also, that explains my fascination for that specific clock 🕰️
Day 20: Squeeze
At this point, anything with snakes and angel blondes (combined) is considered Good Omens fanart ✨🐍✨
“Sleep Apnea”
This is something that I’ve been wanting to delve more deeply and apply into my work. I don’t think that many people are aware of the severity of this common but serious sleeping disorder.
About 10 years ago I was diagnosed and, like many people, believed that it was simply just snoring. But after getting informed and doing further research, I realized how much it severely affected my overall well being.
“Sleep apnea is a serious sleep disorder that occurs when a person's breathing is interrupted during sleep. People with untreated sleep apnea stop breathing repeatedly during their sleep, sometimes hundreds of times. This means the brain -- and the rest of the body -- may not get enough oxygen.” -- Nayana Ambardekar, MD
I’ve been told that, before using the equipment to help with sleeping (the Continuous Positive Airway Pressure machine, or CPAP), my breathing sounded like a loud creature getting choked from its own body. I can joke about it now, but it was a really scary discovery! But despite this health condition, I’m still thankful that I got to be educated, to find out in my early years, to get the help and resources I need, and to be more understanding to those that are also diagnosed with it or something similar.
You can find out more about sleep apnea in your own time. I just hope that there will be more awareness about it, that it’s not just snoring, that seeing the term or the supplies used won’t be so foreign, and that there are solutions to improving their health in the long run.
