He really didn’t want to tell her, what would she think of a guy that got beat up by his Dad? “Um it wasn’t really that bad,” lied Zeke hiding behind his hair. Alexis raised her eyebrows and would have said something but just then their food arrived. Zeke immediately tucked in, still unable to look at Alexis. Alexis took a bite of the pizza and smiled. She was right back when she was about 9 with Zeke laughing as the pizza went all over their faces. Suddenly Alexis realised she couldn’t get her mouth off the pizza because of the cheese! Zeke looked up and laughed and Alexis laughed too.

When she eventually could let go of the pizza she smiled at Zeke but her eyes were full of concern. Zeke looked at her and realised even though she sure looked different she was the same Alexis he had always known. He could always tell her anything. "Zeke you know you can tell me anything don't worry," she assured him and slipped her hand into his under the table. Zeke was shocked but he liked the way her hand felt in his. He took a deep breath and squeezed Alexis's hand and told her the full story. He told her about how his Dad had scared him so much, how disappointed he was to him and how violent he had become. It actually felt good to get it all off his chest. "Oh Zeke," cried Alexis her eyes full of tears. "Don't worry Alex I'm fine now and he's long gone I actually stood up to him," smiled Zeke squeezing her hand. "Good for you Zeke I like the way you are now you're happier," smiled Alexis. Zeke just shrugged going red and smiled at Alexis. "I like the way you are now too Alex even though you're kind of the same but you look way different," added Zeke. "Yeah I went a bit mad with the scissors," blushed Alexis. "Don't worry about it you look beautiful," smiled Zeke. He suddenly realised what he had just said and went red. Oh god had he actually said that out loud? Alexis just giggled and blushed and squeezed his hand. "Thanks Zeke I have to admit you look pretty good yourself love the hair," she beamed going redder. Zeke grinned and ran a hand through his hair like his friend Ronan often did. The rest of the night they chatted and flirted a little and laughed and remembered all the good times. Alexis was sad how quickly the night had ended because they were having such a good time. Zeke walked her home and she liked that. "How's life being in a band?" She asked. "Pretty different," smiled Zeke shrugging and putting his hands in his pockets. "It must be so weird when you meet all your fans," smiled Alexis. "It's really weird but amazing at the same time it's just so unbelievable that so many people know who I am!" Laughed Zeke. "Well people should know who you are you're a great guy Zeke," added Alexis smiling at him. Zeke grabbed her hand suddenly and she felt herself blushing, her heart beating faster. Zeke took a deep breath, it was now or never. "Ok I'm just gonna say it, Alexis Roberts I never ever thought I would feel this way about anyone especially not one of my best friends but I guess life is weird that way so will you go out with me?" Asked Zeke blushing deep scarlet. Alexis stood there for a moment in shock then laughed and threw her arms around Zeke's neck. "Of course I will!" She laughed and hugged him. Suddenly the maddest idea ran through her mind and normally she would never have done it but love makes people do things sometimes. Alexis stopped hugging Zeke but she didn't let go of him. With her heart beating and her cheeks burning she smiled and looked right into his eyes with her arms still around his neck then leaned in and kissed him. Zeke was seriously shocked big time when Alexis kissed him. One minute they were hugging then she was smiling at him and the next she was kissing him! She leaned in and kissed him and he immediately closed his eyes and kissed her right back. The whole time he was so happy he wouldn't have cared if he died at that moment. His first kiss with his oldest and dearest and best friend! Life really was unbelievable and magical sometimes! When they eventually pulled away from each other Alexis couldn't even look Zeke in the eyes. "Well what can I say that was amazing!" Laughed Zeke. Alexis laughed too and hugged him. This was the best night ever. She still couldn't believe what she'd just done but she was glad she had done it. Too soon she was waving Zeke goodbye but she knew it wouldn't be long before she saw her boyfriend again. Suddenly the full realisation slammed down on her. She was dating a celebrity! She had just kissed the drummer from Careless Reaction! How many girls would love to be her right now? She didn't really care about that though. It was Zeke she loved, her Zeke.
