"I know vod'ika, but we sent out an ARF trooper the second we got the news and they found nothing, right now we need you here incase we finally get a lock on the location. Your ARF status will be essential in a complex situation like this one. If you need to do something, tell the tech boys what you found and have them search Vyrims account transactions for anything similar to or related to what you found. The second we can go get Tumbler, I will tell you, but that isn't possible if you are 20 klicks from base chasing a cold trail."
Bite wants nothing more than to send Mouse to the streets with his mastiff in an attempt to find Tumbler quicker, but with the real chance that there will be no trail and no results when they tried before, it isn't worth loosing Mouse as a potential asset when the time comes.
Mouse approaches Bite with a folder. "I was snooping around and found a couple things-- well really only one thing, just a note, everything else in the folder is my own ramblings and attempts to find connections-- but the note's something about a really impressively large sum of money and some sort of large pet. But-- I just want you to have this, so it doesn't get lost while I'm out on my ill-advised rampage"
Bite takes the folder from Mouse's hands, already trying to figure out how this information could help him locate Tumbler.
"And where do you intend to go on your 'ill-advised rampage' vod? Because we don't have a location for Tumbler or Senator Vyrim right now and if you run off to cause havoc not only will you not be permitted to join the extraction team, you may also get yourself killed."
He knows his words are harsh, his kih'vod usually someone he tries to keep a nicer tone with, but right now Tumbler takes priority and Bite can not afford to get distracted with trying to keep an eye on his obviously distressed vod as well as providing specialist insight on extraction plans and tactics to the command staff and working with the tech boys on information gathering and processing.
"I know you are angry, kark. I'm furious, but right now, Tumbler needs you as level-headed as you can manage. Can you control yourself until we have a plan, trooper?"
['Corse Crane]
(Wow thanks Bite)
I know, Fett'ika. Did you know that I'm scared of the Kaminoans, too? But they aren't here in this base. This is guard territory, and we look out for our own. And you can be a part of that, if you want to be? No one will do anything to you you don't want us to.
@corrie-bite @corrie-guard-tumbler @cc1010fox
My apologies for interrupting, sirs, but it would appear that a feral Boba Fett (@youngfett) has stumbled across the barracks, and he's wounded. I understand that I need to learn to take initiative, but I figured that it's different for Boba, you know? I mean... He's Prime's kid. After the fiasco with Aurra Sing, I want to make sure that he's got people in his corner, and who better for that than the vod'e?
"I agree that this isn't going to be as simple as a sedative, with the adrenaline in his system as well as any other kark they gave him, Tumbler probably won't react well to sedation."
Bite would rather not stun him, unsure of how it may effect his condition, but if there is no other option then it will just have to be his job to make sure any effect it has doesn't kill thier vod.
"If we are using blasters, I'd rather not send Mouse into our line of fire. One thing we don't need is him getting hit, too. "
Bite turns to look over at Mouse.
"You saw him before the camera cut. You think you can get through to him because there is no point sending you in when he might not even recognise you unless you are certain?"
[Let hope this works @squad380 @corrie-guard-tumbler ]
With the help of Bite and the element of surprise, with Crane jumping down from the rafters, Their able to get the jump on the guards quickly and quietly.
Crane gestures to Bite to retreat to where the rest of the squad was. Crane was going to cause a distraction, and needed no other vode to get involved.
“Trust me.” Is all Crane signalled, ‘force I should have thought of something better,’ before opening the door.
“Hey! Sorry I was looking for the fresher, could you point me in it’s detection?”
Cranes then books it down the opposite side of the hallway, being chased by 3 of the Rattataki that were in the room, hopefully leaving Tumbler unguarded or at least less guarded.
Force if this doesn’t kill him, Forge sure as hells will.
(go get him!! @corrie-bite @squad380 also @corrie-guard-tumbler 👀)
I got punched for calling a clone Soft. Why yall hate that word ?
Tell me this, would you call a natborn solider soft? Would you call a natborn veteran who has seen years of war, who has watched people give their lives to save yours with no thanks, soft? Most clones have, on average, 10 years of combat training and have seen active combat. We can't be soft, or we would be dead.
Designation: CT-8024
Name: Bite
Classification(s): Medic & Stealth Ops
Current Posting: Coruscant Guard
Previous Postings: Stealth Ops Squad, Kamino
According to the Commander, my previous posting made me qualified to run one of these accounts, I can only assume it is because I know what classified looks like. As per instruction, I am here to demonstrate elements of the Coruscant guard and ensure no one is doing anything that will end in a medbay visit. Feel free to ask questions, the comm signal linked to this is open.
[Feel free to ask with rp accounts or just to pose questions to Bite. We are all just here for fun!]
[Update: If I do not respond to your ask, I will ASAP, I'm just busy.]
(Mission impossible theme starts playing)
At that, Bite punches '41 lightly in the arm.
"Quit it. No one is going to die. You are Coruscant Guard, best of the best, have some damn faith in yourself."
Bite steps closer to the table to start properly examining the map of the area the complaints are from. It's one of the lowest levels, with few speeder lanes and even fewer cameras. He'll have to do a proper casing of the building itself once it has been identified, but Bite is already putting together how to get to and from the level without alerting the wrong people.
"The lack of cameras on the level will make avoiding detection easier, but with how few citizens on those levels own speeders, we are going to need a different way down if we want to remain discreet. The elevators don't offer a quick enough escape if things go wrong, so... suggestions? I haven't been planet side as long as some of you so you many know of something I don't."
*INCOMING COMM*
This is a private frequency I’ve sent out across the guards comms. I think I know where to find CT-3996, Tumbler, I’m asking all guards who can to help, I’m asking all Vode who know anything to help.
I’ve left cords on where to find me, now let’s find Tumbler!
Crane put down the comm, all there was left to do was wait. Was crane nervous? Obviously, none of the Corrie’s really knew him yet and he’s asking for their help to find a vod who most think is dead.
He does truly hope help will come, but if not, Crane is fully prepared to go it alone. No matter what Forge says, what he doesn’t know won’t kill him…. Probably.
Mouse has left a small box where he knows one of the medics will find it-- inside there's a handwritten note apologizing for the trouble he's caused, a voucher for a six-person trip to an all-you-can-eat buffet, and a little wooden figurine of a tooka
"Hey, Sir, I found something while checking the vent just outside. It looks like it is for us!"
Bite turns the little box over in his hands after shouting to his CMO from the door. The little figurine inside looks hand carved, and the voucher is enough for all the medics that were on duty during the last rough shift to eat out on one of the middle levels.
"It's an apology, for 'causing trouble'."
One of the other medics, Plex, speaks up.
"I bet you the next prison callout it was the orikih vod'ika we had in here the other day with Tumbler. The kid cut himself out of his restraints and tried to drag both himself and Tumbler out of the medbay."
"I won't be taking that bet vod. Only shines still apologise to the medics. Everyone else realises we just tell them to quit apologising for being hurt." the CMO retorts.
After hearing the other medics recount the situation, Bite promises himself that if he ever sees this littlest brother of his, he will make sure he understands he has nothing to apologise for. But in the meantime, his medic brothers definitely could use the pick-me-up.
"Thank you, vod'ika."
