ALSO I hate that he’s(cosmos) not treated like an equal among the other autobots. WHY WOULD HE DESERVE LIKE THAT, not like he is just TOOL for the WAR @soundwavereporting @babbo526 and @solarswitchback you guy have any thoughts? :]

oh man, i have. so many. none of this is going to be cohesive.
i spend,,, more free time than I probably should thinking abt these two bc like i said a while ago in another post, im in a transformers dnd campaign and one of my player characters is Cosmos and what kind of person would I be if I didn’t try to include Soundwave and the cassettes in there somewhere when they've got so much good story potential
but as for y’know, the actual IDW comics versions of them. honestly? poetic cinema. IDW gave us Cosmos, someone who’s never listened to, someone who has more than a couple instances of people just either hearing him but not listening or, even worse telling him to shush. IDW gave us Soundwave, someone with an outlier ability to hear everything, even people’s thoughts.
IDW also gave us Cosmos, who was given mostly spy work, then gave us Soundwave, who was the communications officer for the Decepticons. It always makes me wonder if maybe they crossed paths before and we just never got to see.
Also, in terms of interactions I think about A LOT, when Cosmos was outside Sanctuary Station for the first time, Soundwave didn’t go outside to fight Cosmos. He went out there to invite him aboard. Y’know, “May I invite you in?” Cosmos was just understandably a little jumpy because it’s Soundwave and then we got the very fun overgrown tape deck line.
(Also after the tape deck line, we get the First Instance of “Little Autobot” which is, hilarious, because Cosmos is like just a little shorter that Soundwave when he’s not fuck off huge like in MTMTE, but is also a Really Soft nickname imo)
Actually wait, I’m not done about the first use of Little Autobot. SOUNDWAVE GOT HIT DIRECTLY IN THE CHEST WITH LIKE THREE DIFFERENT MISSLES/PROJECTILES AND THEN INVENTS A PET NAME ON THE SPOT.
Not to mention the Princess Bride-esque “As you wish.”

Soundwave sees Cosmos sorta begrudging(? i dunno, that’s the vibe I get from Cosmos’ expression) look and just immediately basically goes Oh shit, he’s not treated so well. ”Hey stay here.”
I wonder if Soundwave ever sees a bit of his past self in this convo. Or at least, I can see Cosmos saying he doesn’t serve Optimus, letting it slip he’s maybe not treated like an equal among the other autobots, and insistence on talking to Doc even though Jetfire tells him Doc’s ‘just a tool’ (or at least the mention of it with Cosmos’ “Or drones...”) echoing Soundwave saying way back when that he didn’t serve Ratbat and the fact that himself, Ravage, Laserbeak, and Buzzsaw weren’t exactly ‘equals’ back then either, since Soundwave at first didn’t have a good grip on his abilities and that wasn’t any use to the senate and Ravage, Laserbeak, and Buzzsaw were beastformers and were therefore not seen as equals because they ‘weren’t cybertronians.’
I’m also never gonna let go of the lines “You said I could call you, and I think everybody else is dead and I’m all alone and I don’t know what to do and... and... I’m scared Soundwave.” “You are not alone, Cosmos. And there is no reason to fear, little autobot.” because that makes me Soft every single time
There was also always this line that got me bc it shows Cosmos cares about Sanctuary Station (and what it stands for) and what it means to Soundwave just as much as Soundwave does.
Coswave is good because Where Else are you going to get Two Dudes who are both genuinely compassionate and kind but Also people you don’t want to mess with. Soundwave can be terrifying but even the comics describe him as having a heart of gold and Cosmos comes off as genuinely kind and compassionate (which he is) but also has so much sass and has the capacity to be a being of Pure Rage.

k but superspy au where Cosmos is the suave, experienced field agent and Soundwave is the awkward, exhausted, hypercompetent handler and they team up after their organisation is betrayed to rebuild from the ashes and the real reward was all the smooches they had on the way

Rumble and Frenzy actively try and get soundwave and cosmos together. Locking in rooms together, changing the roster so they’re on together and just really trying to push them together.
Unbeknownst to them cosmos and soundwave are already together but are taking things slow and get a huge kick out of pretending not to notice the twins’ antics and goals.

Requests are open?? Sweet! Can we request a fluff scenario( that follows Coswave breeding kink ) where SW is waiting outside the medbay, and then hours later, he gets to hold his and Cosmos’s sparkling for the first time? Bonus points if there is more than one sparkling, please :3

Anywho, hope this is fluffy enough for you!
Soundwave paces the hall of the hospital, his footsteps echo loudly in his audials as his pedes land on the white linoleum. The occasional doctor or nurse would pass by him and give him knowing smiles and reassuring gestures but that didn’t stop the worry in his spark. It didn’t matter that they were in the best hospital with the best equipment and none other than Ratchet overseeing the emergence, he still worries because his Conjunx and future sparklings are in there. He had researched and re-researched every possible outcome, every possible outcome, and every estimate for a twin emergence so he knows that now they were approaching the averaged maximum length of a standard emergence. Too much longer and there would be the risk of complication just from taking too much time to complete the emergence. He goes through his mental checklist again for what must be the twentieth time in just the past ten minutes, checking he has everything to make Cosmos comfortable during his recovery and to take care of newborn sparklings.
Soundwave paces again, going through the actual physical space of every item in their home, mapping everything out in his mind and feels a bit calmer. He stops and checks his chronometer to find it to be twenty-two minutes from the maximum average and starts pacing again. Terrible thoughts of the very worst outcome flood his mind, panic settles in as he suppresses the urge to activate his combat protocols in the middle of a hospital. Every piece of his programming is screaming at him to go in and protect his family but he knows, logically, that the doctors know exactly what they’re doing, they certainly know better than him. Even if something does go wrong there’s no way he could help. Soundwave knows communication systems, code, programming, hacking, and several alien languages but there is nothing in his repertoire that would be of any use to his family right now. Feeling defeated, he finally sits on the empty chair that had been provided for him tries to clear his mind. For the first time in a very long time, Soundwave feels completely and utterly useless.
The door opens and he looks up to find Ratchet, smiling warmly down at him, and in a moment, all the fear in Soundwave’s spark vanishes. He really is grateful that former Autobot CMO agreed to oversee the emergence for Soundwave truly believes that if any other doctor had stepped through and smiled, he would not feel the same comfort, the same assuredness that he does now. With a friendly pat on Soundwave’s back, Ratchet leads him into the room where Cosmos rests, exhausted from what Soundwave can tell from his field but undeniably happy while holding two bundles in his arms. He steps to stand by the side of the bed and embraces Cosmos in a side hug, looking down at their sparklings. They’re too young to even begin telling what their altmodes might be but he can see that they’re both a muted green with dark blue highlights and when one opens their optics to look at him, they’re a soft blue. In this very moment, he decides he’s never seen more perfect beings, more perfect transformers than his little sparklings.
“Identical twins,” Ratchet calls over with no small amount of mirth, “that’ll be tricky. You won’t be able to tell them apart half the time and they’ll always be getting some kind of trouble together.”
Soundwave shakes his helm, reaching down to pick up on of his sparklings from Cosmos. He can feel the quiet in this one, how all they wish to do is listen and rest while they’re sibling wants nothing more than to be able to walk already so they can see and explore. There is no denying the stark difference between the two if you can see the world as he can.
“They’re not identical,” he says softly, petting the helm of his newborn, “not to me.”
Cosmos smiles and nods, “Well, I’m not as attuned to that sort of thing as you are so I may need your help sometimes.”
Soundwave removes his mask and takes Cosmos’s free hand to kiss it, “Always.”
As relieved as he was when Ratchet had first come to fetch him, that could never compare to the joy and relief he feels now seeing his Conjunx and sparklings well, actually holding his healthy and whole sparkling. The sparkling in his arms reaches up and stretches their little arms to blink open their optics to look up at him. Very softly, almost too soft to hear, they let out a long note that’s not unlike the synths from Earth and an immediate wave of affection comes over Soundwave for his sparkling. He ducks his helm as he’s absolutely overcome with a tide of love for his little sparkling. Before he can hold it back, his shoulders are shaking and his optics fritz with unrelenting delight. He helped make this small being and they and their sibling are all his and Cosmos’s, nothing could be better, the universe could gift him no greater joy.
“So,” Comos calls over, smiling warmly at how taken Soundwave is with their sparkling, “what should we name them?”
The question makes Soundwave freeze as his mind draws a blank. He’d prepared for everything, every contingency, every possible thing they would need…
“I don’t… know,” Soundwave replies softly and flinches at Ratchet’s bark of laughter.
Cosmos, to Soundwave’s mortification, joins Ratchet in a peel of laughter, one of Soundwave’s favorite sounds when it isn’t directed at him.
“Well,” Cosmos finally manages to say as his fit of laughter dies down, “I was thinking maybe Echo and Logos. How does that sound?”
Soundwave straightens up and rather grumpily stares at his Conjunx, “If you already had names picked out, why did you inquire as to my decision?”
Cosmos tries to fight back a broad smile but fails, “I just wanted to see the look on your face when I asked. I know you’ve been too worried to think of anything like that.”
Sighing, Soundwave returns to Cosmos’s sides and gives him a quick kiss, “I think those names are wonderful.”
“Good,” Cosmos smiles up at him, making Soundwave feel like the luckiest mech on Cybertron.

•He rarely talks, always stay quiet and unnoticeable
• He always sneak around the Sanctuary Station (He knows every path of the place very well *including the vent path*)
• He hates to see his Creator (a.k.a Cosmos) gets insulted or given a cold shoulder by everyone
• He will find a way to blackmail whoever bullied Cosmos by recording their dirties secret/embarrassment moments
• He likes calm and relaxing music
• He don't need friends, prefer to be alone (even though he always tells everyone he prefer alone, deep down he felt very lonely like a lone wolf)
• it is annoying to him that Soundwave's underlings always follows him around like guards (always find a way to shake them off)
• He thinks he is flawless (tho secretly, Cosmos knows the flaw he has)
• He hate his sire (a.k.a Soundwave) for leaving Cosmos alone to handle sanctuary station
• He is a tsundere towards his Creator
• whenever Soundwave finally come back, he will starts to plot a plan to chase him out.("Only I can be with my Creator" *Lol*)
• He is really good at hiding (sadly Soundwave is able to find him in a short timing)
• Always end up causing Cosmos more troubles
• It annoys him that Creator always keeps all the bad moment to himself and never tell Soundwave about it
• He pranks on everyone including his own Creator (but the prank towards his Creator is not as worst as others)

More of the coswave little mermaid Au! I made the background very painty in contrast to Cosmos and Soundwave, so that they pop more. I’m not sure who the other characters are, but let’s just imagine a chorus singing in the background background haha :D

Humanformers Coswave AU
Ok so Soundwave is this rich actor/modle (point is is that he’s famous and handsome and almost everyone loves him) Cosmos on the other hand is a waiter at a fancy restaurant who has a crush on Soundwave. So one day Soundwave goes to said fancy restaurant and Cosmos gets to be his waiter Soundwave sees him and immediately falls in love with him. So Soundwave being the seductive man he is asks Cosmos out on a date. Cosmos gets all flustered and agrees once they’re later on their date they both hit it off really well.
Sadly though this is all I have at the moment I’ll probably add more later on if I get any more ideas.
But I should give credit where it’s due. This whole idea was inspired by a wonderful writer who goes by @dildo-swaggins-t-baggins abd their amazing Coswave fics! I really do suggest that you give them a read because their writing is A+++ quality
