What do humans have against catkins?

Like, just the other day, I overheard my family make a joke, "and some people identify as cats." It was the only part I could hear, but it made me realize something.

Every time people talk about therians/otherkins, it's always the cats they go after.

Which says a lot about how little they know.

So don't care about what they say. They clearly don't have any clue what they are talking about.

Sometimes therian spaces just feel like "therians are valid! but-", then they give you an entire paragraph about why you aren't one of the "alright therians"

Been meaning to say this for a while, but here's a not so gentle reminder that you don't have to be skinny, white and able bodied to be part of the nonhuman community.

Racism and ableism is sadly rampant in this community and I want this blog to be safe for the beings that feel excluded! If you want to, you can interact with this post if you are or your blog is safe for: fat, POC and disabled nonhumans.
