Trick Or Treat Please 👁️👁️

A reminder to the "the American government wouldn't..." crowd. They have. They have made their own internment camps before. They have rounded up innocent citizens and immigrants before. The victims of which are still alive to this day and trying to share their stories with the world, they have been trying to warn us for a long time. George Takei (as seen above) is a famous example of this. He has written about his experiences time and time again, even publishing a book talking about his time in these camps. He may be famous now, but at the time he was just another kid forced from his home. To this day he still firmly dedicates himself to trying to educate and inform people, trying to spread awareness with his platform. The American Government can and will do terrible things. Do not let anyone convince you otherwise.

I love you, please be safe. The internet is full of good spaces for you, I hope you find them and stay happy and healthy.

I feel so very deeply about the safety of teens and children on the internet and I wish I could keep every single one of them safe and I'm very sad and angry that they continue to be hurt and I can't directly do anything to prevent it ;;

Idk man,, talk to ur little siblings, check up on them.

Check up on yourself and the people & content you're surrounding yourself with

Get off sites that make you feel bad

Stop talking to people who make you feel bad

Some things aren't as cool as you think they are

You don't deserve that sinking emptiness in your stomach. Please don't do things that make you feel that way.

I hope you have someone who you can trust and that you can tell them when you think something is wrong.

Shout out to my 7th grade reading teacher who was the first person to ever encourage my creative writing. He took one look at a kid who was struggling to find a way to communicate how much they were suffering, took a look at a mess of a short story they'd written in an attempt to convey all their big heavy feelings, and fully embraced them.

I constantly talked to him about writing and how to get better. I showed him everything I wrote. Sometimes, it was so I could have critiques. Sometimes, it was just so someone would tell me I'd done a good job. I needed that. He gave me a healthy goal to work towards.

I wish he hadn't just been a long-term sub. I wish I could have told him that I go by something different now. I think he'd really like what I'm writing these days.

Throwback to this poem I wrote a while back

There was at one time,

A man I knew who spoke

With the crackle of a fire

Who had a cough

Like the devil himself had curled up in his lungs.

Who took me places

No wicked thing ever dared to trot.

He who stood so mighty,

The king of a southern summer,

And composed of the cicadas sympathy.

It is from him

I acquired my dirty paws,

These blood fangs.

From him came this wagging tail,

And hanging tongue.

Where my king of summer lies,

With the worms in his oldest home,

I stay his heir.

I haunt this town like an unmuttered curse.

And when they dare speak my name,

As if some insulting thing,

I think fondly of the man who gave me claws and teeth.

So that their insolence is not so easily forgiven,

And just as he,

Never forgotten.

Dear wild canine alterhumans, you’re allowed to use and enjoy domesticated canine esc gear. Collars and chew toys and dog beds. You’re still wild.

I wanna age like an old cowboy. Give me a southern squint with very exaggerated crows feet and a furrowed brow. Make me rough and tumbled. I won't smoke, but give me a scratchy voice. I want my grandkids to look at me and see coyote, wolf, dog, raccoon. I want them to see weathered and wild.

The day I buy a car with no cd player is the day I hang my head and cry.

I think all computers should have cd slots and all phones should have headphone ports send tumble

Does anyone want to read a short story about a trans kid at the age where you don't have a word for what you are yet, or really a full idea of what you are, but you know what you want to be so you cling to it and the people around you that represent it?

Because I wrote something like that! It's called Cowboys (or Good Men, but we won't get into that whole story), and it's about a kid named Kit who wants nothing more than to be a cowboy like 'her' uncle Pau! It's a small slice of life/coming of age story that showcases the unconditional love of a family's two misfits, alongside subtly highlighting a less talked about stage of growing up transgender in the south.
