Bonus: unlike many languages, Finnish has names for eight points of the compass instead of four. So between cardinal directions (pääilmansuunnat) we call ordinal directions (väli-ilmansuunnat) NE, SE, SW & NW by their very own words.

'Ilma' means 'air' and 'suunta' is 'direction', so literally these are called 'air/wind directions', or 'directions of (the) air'

Jaaha, ja nyt on sitte viimeistään irtauduttava suomalaisestakin massamediasta.

Oon sanonut ennenkin, että nää 'paremmat' journalistiset, ja keltainen lehdistö alkaa huolestuttavasti erottua toisistaan entistä vahvemmin vain ulkoasullaan. Hyvää lehtimiestapaa on loukattu mm. plagioinnilla, kyseenalaisella kuvituksella ja kunnianloukkauksilla laidasta laitaan jo pidemman aikaa. Siitä voidaan sitten puhua erikseen, että millainen julkinen spekulaatio on ok ja millainen ei, etenkin lasten ja yksityishenkilöiden kohdalla. Pointti on siinä, että kun valtamediassa julkaistaan suoraan ja kritiikittä äärimielipiteitä samalla, kun ihmiset arkielämässään kärsii niiden vaikutuksista, jokin on vinossa ja pahasti.

Se, että jossain menee huonommin, tai että Suomessa vois mennä huonommin, ei tarkoita, että meillä menee nyt riittävän hyvin & kehittämisen voi lopettaa. 'Riittävän hyvin'; täällä rivikansalaiset yrittää päivittäin polkea toistensa oikeuksia mm. kotirauhaan, itse-ilmaisuun, koulunkäyntiin ja uskonvapauteen. Ei kuulosta reilulta minusta.

Joku voi sanoa, että 'lehtimiestapa' on vanhanaikainen etiketti, mutta itse pidän sitä (pää-asiassa) ihan validina laaturajana. Ihan vähintään radikaalina pidettäviin julkaisuihin pitäisi aina ottaa mukaan asiantuntijan tai 'vastakkaisen' mielipiteen edustajan näkökanta.

This is the first fully Finnish mix I've ever made

When going trough- and selecting my favorite Rölli songs, I realized there's more of them in the original series than I remembered. I was going for a certain aesthetic here, and didn't wanna include many of them because of real-world references and stuff, so I'll make a playlist for them called Omituisten Otusten Opetuksia & link it here

There's also some songs here, that aren't from the Rölli fandom, but I think compliment the themes beautifully

Unusual year for me -I continued with Austen, but otherwise read mostly new-ish books for younger readers. Easy access to a good library is something I'll miss about city living..

One day she walked in, and just never walked out. I'd like to say she changed my life, but it's much the same. I work at one of those old everything-stores, with the owner, who's like a hundred years old & made of steel. He owns my apartment too, so I live in it, pay=rent, and live mostly on coffee & de-shelved snacks. Occasionally I get some extra cash flipping things I find lying around & fix. It's amazing how much stuff you can carry out of parties, once you just get accepted as the guy who hauls junk around. She's the girl who makes mixtapes for her outfits. Or maybe it started the other way round, I'm not sure. What I do know is mr. Steel's place has never seen this many extravagant coats. He likes her, 'cause she wears sturdy shoes and an infectious smile. I like her, 'cause even tho nothing's changed, with her I don't feel like it needs to.

Life is too short to be anything but happy It’s my life, so let me waste it the way I like That’s the good kind of madness..
