Towa is my favorite, I think! He's maybe second to Taiga. Maybe.

TOWA'S MIGHT BE A LITTLE FASTER SINCE HE CAN ONLY SPEAK AFTER 4PM. THAT MEANS HE HAS LESS LINES. But some of them are still. . .Towa's a bit of a trip sometimes. but that's why i love him.

considering he calls him "Wolfsbane" and fed the player a Dandelion it's fair to assume the flowers in the porridge are wolfsbane. . .which are poisonous. He just wants to be left alone with Haru. . .he's yandere, just not for the player lol not that we've seen so far anyway.

it's not like he gets the chance to talk much during the day, so i get why he says that.

he speaks to plants! and plants speak back to him!! and the trees are sad. i wonder what it's been waiting for. . . . shit like this makes me think Towa is the spy, if it isn't Kaito. why can you talk to animals and plants and control weather to the point that animals are scared of you. why do you have such a strong lack of regard for the lives of others. why do you have perfect night vision. that's so much. it's a little suspicious.

what. what does that mean. what is that attitude about. . .although we've kinda seen that Towa has a bit of a power complex before, so him thinking you're weak and cute and finding it charming and valuing how much stronger than you he is kinda tracks. . . . that or my guy likes the asshole boyfriend type trope in his romance stories.. that or he saw how much other people liked it and followed accordingly.

Affinity 25(max):

Spring:

"I love spring. It's when lots of flowers bloom. And did you know the Japanese word for spring is haru? Just like Haru's name!"

"This is a cherry blossom petal. It's for you! Look—they're sweet and yummy so I collected all these ones for my treasure box."

Summer:

"Have you heard of cherry bombs before? Haru won't buy me any, so I'm looking for them on my own. If you see them blooming somewhere, could you tell me?"

this line feels a little more clear in japanese, if only because i didn't know what a cherry bomb is myself. Towa is asking for 'hanabi'--fireworks. 'hana' in 'hanabi' is Japanese for 'flower' so he thinks 'hanabi'/fireworks are a type of flower. Haru understandably doesn't trust Towa with fireworks, but likely doesn't realize what he wants is a flower. as for english, a cherry bomb is a type of firework! so it does work similarly, as in this case Towa is trying to plant what he likely assumes to be an anomalous fruit.

Orihime and Hikoboshi are from a Japanese myth about the Vega and Altair stars! They're separated by the Milky Way and can only meet one day each year. This myth is celebrated in the holiday Tanbata.

Autumn:

"These leaves are really pretty, but they taste bad..."

oh bby don't eat the dying leaves. . . . .

"Iris went home because he said it's dangerous to stay out in the dark. I can still see fine though, even in the caves!"

Iris is Zenji, btw! Iris are also poison flowers, so he likely doesn't like Zenji much haha. Also apparently Towa has night vision. another sus point. am i gonna make a post about everything suspicious about Towa? probably. why's he have like seven powers???

Winter:

"I told Coriander I wanted to play in the snow, but he said no. Is it really true that you'll die if you play outside on cold nights?"

Coriander is Kaito! I have no idea why he calls him that lol

"What? Are you cold, Dandelion? I'll cuddle you, so come outside and play with me!"

'hey is it true you'll die if you play out in the cold at night? do you wanna come di--uh play with me?'

hey why don't you know what New Years Day is Towa. . .then again I guess Haru didn't notice it happened either. He just wants you to be happy!

Valentine's Day:

"I know what these are! They're Valentine's Day chocolates! They're Coriander's favorite food. You're giving them to me? Thanks...?"

Can he even eat chocolate considering he only eats plants. . .maybe you should've given him like. chocolate dipped rose petals. . . .

White Day:

"This is for you! It's a white rose! They only bloom in one special place on that mountain. It's for the chocolates you gave me."

Somehow he knows about White Day though! maybe he showed Haru or Ren the chocolates and they told him to make sure you got a return gift.

April Fool's Day:

"Haru's a dope! I hate liars! You won't lie to me, will you, Dandelion?"

Haru played a prank and Towa did NOT appreciate it huh. . .no jokes and no lies unless you wanna be given a poisonous flower. . . .

Halloween:

"Trick or treat! If you don't give me lots of delicious flowers, I'm going to play a trick on you! "

the trick is 'a storm large enough to flood your home :D'

Christmas:

"Heh heh ♪ Merry Christmas! I heard you're supposed to spend today with your soulmate! I can't wait!"

He's very childish but like. . .cruel in the way a child can be, sort of? I JUST. REALLY ENJOY HIS CHARACTER. He's such a loving sweetheart until something agitates him even a little bit lmao. . . .

You Always Ride Shotgun is absolutely rivaling Staying Home Together in terms of my favorite Mammon-related Devilgram. It's so sweet, and i love the bits of Mammon and MC just being goofy together and being chill, not like constantly romancing and waxing red. I mean, yeah, it has that too, but, like...

Like, yes, please, I would absolutely enjoy just Mammon and MC having more interactions being silly and having fun and general friend stuff. I know a lot of the focus is obviously gonna be on romance and shit, but a solid foundation for any relationship is to be friends and the ability to have down moments compared to constantly being in love and pining for the other person. I adore Mammon from almost all angles, but I would love more antics to just be funny and laugh together and grow closer through small things outside of romance. Once that honeymoon phase is played out and there's no solid foundation after that then the relationship will crumble.

Also

this bitch just pops in without warning and turns salty when MC complains about him knocking, so he goes back out, knocks, and then comes back in. Yes, more bitchy Mammon being petty and MC being exasperated by his high salt levels when rightfully chided, lmao.

I'm also going to want more moments of MC just admiring Mammon while he's enjoying himself and having casual fun. Yeah, Mammon's going to probably always get flustered, but it's what he deserves and what I crave.

Speaking of craving...

The last couple of Devilgrams for Mammon have been a little dry on romance, which I'm okay with, but I'd still like more intimate moments. Ofc, there's a moment that breaks up the sexual tension when Mammon accidentally slips into the pool and takes MC with him, but his immediate concern is their safety and if they're okay

Once the well-being of MC is confirmed, the the sexual tension picks right back up, because of Mammon's admission of, like, his feelings and urge to be with MC without any tsundere scrabbles or, like, "hint hint, wink wink" innuendos. I know there's been progress, but this instance just felt more rightly timed and paced with his mood.

Like, my heart swelled with just his ease to be open about his emotions and physical needs. He's done bits and pieces of this in the past, yeah, I know, but like MC states this is a mature pick for him, and he really is showing levels of maturity that weren't there at the beginning of meeting him. Hell, even a year after meeting him.

It's progress and character growth and character maturity. Mammon is growing and becoming more than his sin. He's actively doing stuff for MC that is out of his pocket and sincerely when before meeting MC he barely did anything genuine for himself except for when he really wanted something, like his Demonio car. Nowadays he's willingly working jobs to earn his own money so he can buy MC gifts that he wants to give with real thought and love behind it, because he genuinely loves MC so much.

He's still conniving with plans to earn money and can be entitled and selfish and sticky-fingered, obviously. He's not gonna outgrow his attitude and habits that fast, but Mammon is much more selfless and open and making strides to, like, do more genuinely. There's care and love behind his actions with MC, and that means so much to me to see.

Mammon is my absolute favorite in terms of character growth and change, and I hope the others can get defined like this eventually too.

CAINE

Very obvious, and he's not going to waste too much time flirting with you before he asks you out on a date. He gives you special attention compared to the other circus members and always checks in on you first. He's open to flirting, but he doesn't go overboard with it... he's got to keep it family friendly, you know! Boggles at you if you return the energy, before regaining himself and hitting right back with a line. Doesn't hold back any punches when trying to impress you, it hits its peak when he tries to ask you out. It can get... overwhelming...

POMNI

Poor girl. She's so awkward around you, she doesn't want you to think she's some loser. Even though she kind of is already/j. Tries to make conversation with you to get to know you better and to just spend time with you. She's... clumsy... in the sense that she stumbles over her own words and seems more on edge when you're around. You might even think you did something wrong to make her act so tense around you. Not at all confident when asking you out, actually you might be the one to ask her first just to get the tension done and over with. She tries her best not to seem rude or put off by you, she's just clamming up is all!

RAGATHA

Similar to Pomni she's a little awkward, but she keeps herself composed much easier. Yoinking the fact that she practices her words before talking to someone and using it here. She hypes herself up before knocking on your door to check in on you. Very attentive to you and your needs, she subconsciously puts your wants/needs above her own... call her out on that because there's going to come a point where it's going to come to her detriment. Makes you things every now and then, cannot accept anything in return but she will try. Asks you out when she feels the time is right, and even if you don't feel the same she tries to move on with the friendship as normal unless you want some space.

JAX

When he's crushing someone he's the type to tease them and lightly bully them. "But Admin, he already does that," You might say. And you wouldn't be wrong. I can see him leaning more into it, though. So if you notice him getting onto you more than he did before.. well you might just assume he's being a jerk. He thinks love is gross, as immature as it sounds. Cooties mentality, so he does what he can to try to smother those feelings. On top of that he hates the idea of being vulnerable, giving him all the more incentive to try to destroy those feelings. Oddly enough, he still tosses pickup lines your way if he notices it gets under your skin. Is it mean? Yes, but let's not forget that Jax IS mean...

KINGER

It's hard to tell when he's crushing on someone simply because he's so... Kinger. But some big signs to let you know that you're on his mind is him hovering around you more and more as time passes. He's already lost his wife and deeply scared that something is going to happen to you. Actually, that fear might push him to tell you how he feels fairly quickly. It's nearly suffocating, and he needs that peace of mind that he can at least tell you how he feels before anything hypothetically happens. Strikes up conversations whenever he can, a lot revolving around his own interests because that's what helps keep him grounded and in the present moment... but he wants to hear you talk to! A bit of a flirt, surprisingly, but he's very polite about it.

ZOOBLE

Its hard to read zooble sometimes, but they make it easy by being forward with you. They come forward when they realize they have feelings for you, and that said feelings aren't just a dud and won't pass easily. Very accepting on whatever you answer, but I can see them needing some space from you if you reject them. It doesn't mean the friendship is over, Zooble just needs time to get those feelings out. Similarly to Jax, they don't like being vulnerable like that. Unlike Jax, they want to get it done and over with sooner rather than later. Not a flirt, but they will become more... noticeably relaxed and open around you. At least by Zooble standards.

GANGLE

Shy.. and awkward... I know I keep saying the girls are awkward, but Gangle is going to give Pomni a run for her money with how much of a mess she becomes. Doodles you a lot, becomes more cagey about her sketchbooks and papers because of this. Follows along with whatever you suggest you two do for the day, and doesn't protest all that much because she wants to make you happy and perhaps even impress you. Definitely fantasizes about some fanfiction-esque scene that leads to the two of you ending up together... it's actually a little... pathetic... and it's unlikely to happen like that, and knowing a certain circus member.. cough cough Jax.. she's probably not going to get the chance to tell you herself on her terms...

LOO

Very straight forward and confident when asking you out, and she takes it with grace if you don't feel the same. Similar to Caine, she gives you special attention! She might even give you some special privileges in her kingdom... definitely gives you some pointers that she's developing some feelings for you. A great listener, wants to know just about everything about you and she's going to let you rant and ramble about anything you want. She responds too, by the way. She doesn't just listen, she keeps the conversation going. Leaves you gifts every now and then!

GUMMIGOO

If this is post... everything... and he was allowed to stay, having a crush on someone so soon actually distresses him a little bit. He's just learned that he's an NPC and everything he knew prior to... everything.. was fake.. it all feels too sudden. The stress translates into frustration, so you may fall under the impression that he's upset with you. He is.. but only a little, for making him feel like this. But a bulk of it is towards himself and his circumstances. If this were any other time or if he didn't have the knowledge he has now, he would be more open and even attempt to flirt and tease you. Sad stuff.
