A screenshot from the website of Canada's New Democratic Party reading: "New Democrats Urge Liberals to Recognize the State of Palestine"
"On Tuesday, NDP Foreign Affairs Critic Heather McPherson (Edmonton Strathcona) tabled a motion calling on Canada to recognize the State of Palestine. McPherson made the following statement:"

“The Palestinian people have the right to a state, and this right is nearly universally recognized at the United Nations. Today, 140 other States (139 UN member states and the Holy See) already recognize the State of Palestine. After decades of the near universal affirmation, including by Canada, that the Palestinian people have a right to self-determination, members of the international community must see to it that this right is finally given effect before it is too late. The United States and United Kingdom have said they are looking into avenues to recognize the State of Palestine and Canada must do the same. For decades Palestinians have been subject to foreign military occupation, resulting in the denial of political and economic sovereignty and the right to move and live freely within what are considered to be Palestinian territories. Canada’s longstanding policy ‘recognizes the Palestinian right to self-determination and supports the creation of a sovereign, independent, viable, democratic and territorially contiguous Palestinian state, as part of a comprehensive, just and lasting peace settlement.’

Let's talk about the Genocide happening in Palastine

Honestly I can see how Hitler got away with the Mass Genocide of the Jews like LOOK AT THIS?!??!

History calls Hitler a dictator and the one who killed off Jews for existing and the world was not okay with it and it IS STILL not okay ( and be no means are jews responsible )

But now that we see History replay itself in the form of Israel against Palestinians what does the world say about The Palestinians? Violent, criminals, terrorists, they deserved to die.... HOW COULD THEY DO THAT??!?!

Kids are dying every single day, more and more footages are being released and STILL SO MANY CHOOSE to ignore them because well

"October 7 was devastating" and yes it was and by no means am I disregarding that but then, WELL WHAT ABOUT THE YEARS OF ATTACKING THEM?!?!? Oh my it seems they have selective blindness *surprised Pikachu face*

Look Hamas killed that's not okay BUT those are the only people they've killed. All the " Israeli Survivors" Hamas confined coming from Gaza and NONE OF THEM has ever mentioned Hamas treating them badly. Hamas is NOT A TERRORIST organization they are the ONLY force the Palestinians has to fight against the Israel soldiers

If Hamas stop, Palestine will be no more. and that is EXACTLY why Israel wants to get rid of them, the only hope for the Palestinians

It is beyond my comprehension how even after seeing INNUMERABLE Children dying, Families and Bloodlines ERASED from existence, attacking HOSPITALS, attacking FOOD SHELTERS some people can still support Israel....

Brazil’s racial reckoning: ‘Black lives matter here, too’

Brazil’s Racial Reckoning: ‘Black Lives Matter Here, Too’

A week before the death of George Floyd in the US city of Minneapolis in May, Brazilians were mourning one of their own.

Fourteen-year-old João Pedro Mattos Pinto was killed while playing with friends during a botched police operation in a favela in Rio de Janeiro.

The two deaths happened thousands of kilometres apart, yet millions of people were united in grief and anger. “Black lives matter here, too,” Brazilians chanted in the weeks following the deaths.

But history keeps repeating itself.

Only last week, a police officer in São Paulo stepped on the neck of a black woman in her fifties. The video that surfaced showing the incident caused outrage. She survived, but so many do not.

Joyce da Silva dos Santos shows me a video of her son Guilherme celebrating his birthday with a big cake and candles. He was a 15-year-old with his whole life ahead of him. He had dreams of following his grandfather into the bricklaying business, of one day buying a motorcycle, too. But his dreams were cut short.

Last year police here killed nearly six times as many people as in the US and most of them were black.
