I know this isn’t that important to the story, but I just wanted to point it out.
In Kate’s Office, there’s a calendar that says 2023.
And in the “Let’s Practice Patience!” tape, the radio keeps on saying it’s President’s Day.
That means that Amanda the Adventurer 2 takes place on February 20, 2023.
The whole President’s Day bit could’ve been used for funnies, but I tend to overanalyze things.
Omg you draw them so cute!!!!!
figuring out how i wanna draw them ☝️
Ok I’ve come to the conclusion that all of the drawings displayed in Play My Way are all probably drawn by Amanda since she’s the more artistic one between her and Wooly
If we go by that statement and if she’s the one who drew this, does that mean that Amanda has seen Wooly in this state?
Can I just say how much I LOVE the horror in Lacey Games?
I’m just gonna start of with the stalker from Wardrobe (I’m not gonna show a pic because that face FUCKED ME UP for like 2 WEEKS). I love how Ghosttundra doesn’t do the basic distorted face monster stuff, but a realistic face of some fat guy with huge pupils who reminds me of the Ooga booga guy from Spooky Month, and that alone already puts you on edge.
And the execution of that face is also terrifying. The way he hides in shadows all over the place is so creepy but so realistic and really makes you feel trapped and that he could be anywhere. When you’re dressing Lacey up for her picnic and let her outside, for a first-time viewer, you don’t see the stalker hiding in the bushes until he shows up again watching outside her window. The contrast between HIM and Lacey’s cartoony art style is just so unsettling too.
And the rest of the series is horrifying. In Diner, the entire time Lacey has her emotional breakdown with putting all her trauma and her uncle into a meal is so gross and so sad at the same time. And when she goes to serve the customers, the switch between the cartoony style and the hyper realistic imagery, alongside the chewing and slurping sounds in the background, makes that scene all the more disgusting.
That’s all I wanted to say right now, I’m so tired 😴
OOOOUUUUGGGGHHH MY BABYYYYY I LOVE THE WAY YOU DRAW HER SHES SO CUTE AAAGGGHHHH!!!!
Hi I am Rebeccaaaaaa im eight years old I love to act and I love my daaaaaaaaaaaad!
MY SHAYLASSSSS
I have more-
PEOPLE ARE STILL DOING THAT I THINK AND ITS SO DISGUSTING
SHES LIKE 5
Every time I see another person sexualize Amanda I lose more faith in humanity 😔
Does anyone remember when people used to think the meatman was hot back when the pilot was the only official Amanda content
what are your thoughts on Joanne as a Character along with Kate! They don’t get talked about enough :(
I LOVE the way they write Joanne in ATA 2! Although, it’s pretty unfortunate how they killed her off so quickly and we didn’t get much of her in the game in my opinion.
The idea of her wanting to get her brother Jordan back is already a cool idea for her character, but the way they build upon that is VERY interesting. She admitted that she took advantage of Riley’s trust to find the tapes in hopes of freeing Jordan, and even if that seems very selfish of her, that’s also very human of her. Imagine this: you’re desperate to free your brother from the hellish world he’s been trapped in that you’ll do whatever it takes to be with him again, even if it means taking advantage of others. I like how she admits her selfishness, too.
I also love how she was so desperate to free her brother that she instantly took advice from someone she didn’t even know on how to free him, only to realize that it was someone from the same company that took your brother hostage. It just makes her character all the more tragic.
As for Kate, there’s not much I can say for her, since we don’t really get a lot of her. For example, in the first game, she was just used as a reason as to why the game’s main story is even happening. But in the second game, they build up on her character more.
The context we get from her investigating the tape shows how determined she is to bring Hameln down and set Rebecca and the other kids free. If she was THIS determined to try to set Rebecca free for more that 15 YEARS, that has to mean that her and Rebecca must have been very close. Kate might’ve been like a mother figure to Rebecca.
And don’t get me STARTED on the cassette tape. All of that determination and confidence that we’ve seen from her throughout the game is replaced with pure hopelessness and despair. She’s completely lost hope in freeing Rebecca and defeating Hameln. It’s so sad seeing a person who wanted to free a kids soul who she knew free completely give up and fall into despair.
Anyway, that’s all I got. Thanks for asking!!
I’ll be twisting it 360 degrees 💃☺️
The tape begins with a Halloween-themed logo for the show, with the apple now being replaced with a pumpkin and Amanda and Wooly in costumes.
It cuts to Amanda and Wooly in the living room with a few costumes laid out in front of them. Amanda and Wooly notice us and then greet us.
“Hi, friend! I’m Amanda!”
“And I’m Wooly!”
“And today, we’re going trick-or-treating! But first, we need to put on our costumes. Will you help us?”
A few seconds of silence pass before Amanda speaks again.
“Great! Okay, which costume should I wear?”
The screen shows a black cat costume, a spider costume and a lab coat with glasses.
Riley chooses the lab coat and glasses.
After Riley picks a costume, the screen then changes to Wooly’s set of costumes.
“Now, which costume should I wear?”
The screen shows an Angel costume, a wolf costume and a clown costume.
Riley chooses the angel costume.
After picking a costume for Wooly, the screen switches back to Amanda and Wooly in their costumes.
“Thanks for your help!” Amanda says. “Now, let’s go trick-or-treating!”
The tape changes to Amanda and Wooly walking on the sidewalk in the neighborhood with their bags full of candy, the houses behind them swaying in a continuous manner with their lifeless eyes.
“Oh man, we got so much candy! I can’t wait to eat it when we get back!” Amanda cheers, jumping up and down.
“Don’t eat so much though, or you’ll get a tummy ache.” Wooly adds.
“You shouldn’t be talking.”
“What’s THAT supposed to mean?!” Wooly asks, his face red with embarrassment.
After walking for a bit, the two notice a mysterious house, its design much different from the other houses near it. It almost looks abandoned, with broken windows and moss growing on it. Intimidated by the house’s appearance, the two walk up the stairs to the front door and ring the doorbell.
No one answers.
“Hello?” Amanda calls, knocking on the door. “Anybody home?”
A few seconds pass.
“Well, looks like they’re gonna get tricked tonight!” Amanda says with a smirk on her face as she opens the door to the abandoned house.
“Wait, Amanda!” Wooly calls, grabbing her by her sleeve. “You’re not ACTUALLY thinking of going in there, a-are you?”
“Of course I am!” Amanda replies. “Plus, it’s good to face your fears. Come on!”
Amanda runs inside the house as Wooly nervously follows, fidgeting with his hands as he walks inside.
The screen switches to Amanda and Wooly standing inside the center of the house, with 3 doors in front of them.
“Which door should we go in first?” Amanda asks.
Riley thinks for a moment before they point to the left door.
“Good choice. Let’s go!” Amanda cheers as she opens the door and both her and Wooly walk inside while holding each other’s hand.
The screen changes to what looks like an old living room, with a busted couch, an old TV, paintings on the wall and a radio on a table beside the couch.
“I’m already getting a bad feeling about this…” Wooly mutters, lightly tugging at his wool.
“Oh, be quiet.” Amanda scold him. “It isn’t even that bad! Just a little dirty.”
Riley notices the radio and points to it, saying “What about that radio?”
Amanda and Wooly notice them pointing to the radio and walk towards it. “I wonder what it’s gonna play.” Amanda says. It’s clear she’s having a lot of fun being in this house…
She curiously adjusts the frequency on the radio, hoping for something to play-but so far, it’s only been static.
“I think it’s broken…”
“You don’t say,” Wooly responds, examining the radio. “It’s all busted.”
Suddenly, the radio begins playing a news report, startling both Amanda and Wooly.
“It’s been over 2 months since 8-year old Cara Matthews has mysteriously gone missing and there are still no leads as of now. From the information that was given by her parents, Matthews was last seen watching one of Kensdale’s most beloved programs, Amanda the Adventurer. Some detectives believe that she was kidnapped, however there is no evidence for that statement. As far as we know, Matthews will never be found.”
The audio turns into static once again, as Amanda and Wooly stand there with horrified expressions on their faces.
“Not again…” Amanda mutters under her breath as static fills the screen. “I’m… I’m sorry…”
“A-Amanda…?”
Suddenly, the static completely stops and Amanda reverts back to her usual upbeat persona.
“Well, I’ve seen enough of this room,” she says. “Let’s get outta here.”
The screen switches back to the center of the room.
“Where should we go next?” Amanda asks.
Riley points to a set of stairs near the 3 doors.
“Good choice. Let’s go upstairs!”
As they’re walking up the stairs, Wooly notices that Amanda is holding his hand much tighter than before.
“A-Amanda, you’re squeezing my hand…”
She doesn’t respond.
“Amanda!”
“W-what?” She finally responds.
“You’re squeezing my hand.”
“Oh.”
Amanda quickly lets go of Wooly’s hand, still facing forward.
“You’re not… scared, are you? He asks.
“What? No, no, no!” Amanda responds, swatting her hand in disagreement. “M-maybe a little…” she mutters under her breath, but loud enough for Wooly to hear it.
“I-it’s okay, I’m scared too.” He says. “But we can face our fears together!”
She doesn’t respond.
Finally, the two reach the top and enter a pitch-black room.
“Dang it, it’s WAY too dark in here!” Amanda complains. “Do you have something we can use to light up the room?”
Suddenly the lights go out in the library right after she asks that question.
“Oh shit, not THIS again!” Riley complains.
They walk around the library for a bit while also hearing Amanda and Wooly’s complaints.
“I don’t like the dark…” Amanda whines.
“Don’t worry, they’ll find something! I’m sure of it.” Wooly reassures her.
After a few minutes of walking around the pitch-black library, Riley spots a light coming from behind one of the printers. Peeking behind it, they find a flashlight that’s already been turned on.
“Thank god.” Riley rasped as they head back to the TV, seeing Amanda and Wooly shivering in fear. They place the flashlight on top of the TV and watch it get absorbed into the cartoon.
“Thanks!” Amanda cheers as she begins pointing the flashlight to the center of the room. The light illuminates the room, showing a broken-down bedroom, with cobwebs decorating the walls and corners and a door in one corner. In another corner of a room is a bed with torn-up pictures beside it.
“Oh, this is…” Amanda mumbles, but doesn’t finish her sentence.
A few seconds pass before Riley notices the pictures beside the bed. Amanda and Wooly walk up to them and begin examining the torn-up pieces of the photos.
“I recognize some of these faces…” Wooly says, squinting at the papers.
“Hey, Amanda, can I see your photos?”
She doesn’t respond.
“Amanda?”
Wooly shuffles over to her to see her with a horrified look on her face, holding one of the pictures.
“What are you looking at-“ Wooly suddenly stops.
The screen changes to a closer view o the picture Amanda is holding.
It seems to show a young girl with braids and a black hoodie, but her face is blurred out. Riley notices that the girl in the picture looks familiar, like they’ve seen her before.
It finally comes to them. That girl is..
Rebecca Colton.
“This is… me?” Amanda whispers, her eyes only focused on the warped photo of the little girl as the screen begins to fill with red static.
“M-maybe it’s best to get out of here…” Wooly chuckles nervously, turning around. “Come on, Amanda. Let’s go ba-“
The exit to the room is gone. All that’s left is the door in the corner. Wooly grabs Amanda by the hand and runs and opens the door-but instead of another room, it’s a long corridor with another door on the other side.
“What the…”
“What’s happening…?” Amanda asks nervously, still holding on to the photo.
“I don’t know…” Wooly responds. “Look! There’s a door on the other side. Maybe that’s the exit.”
But once they reach it, the room inside is just the same long corridor.
Each door they go through causes the hallway to be even more warped, with twisted walls and darker hallways.
“I don’t wanna be here anymore…” Amanda whimpers, clutching onto Wooly’s hand.
“Me neither…” Wooly adds.
But it doesn’t matter. These hallways are an endless loop. There’s no way to escape.
A few minutes of running through endless hallways pass before the two eventually collapse in exhaustion.
“There’s gotta be a way out of here,” Wooly mutters. “We can’t be stuck here, r-right?”
“It’s hopeless.”
Wooly turns around to find Amanda curled up and shaking, the photo still in her hand as sniffing and muffled winces can be heard from her.
“We’re never getting out of here…”
A minute of nothing passes, the two sitting on the floor in the endless hallway, with Wooly fidgeting with the handles of his candy bag. The only sound that can be heard is Amanda’s crying.
Then, in a choked, raspy voice, she says:
“I want my dad…”
Then the tape falls out of the VCR.
“Poor girl,” Riley thinks. “She doesn’t deserve this…”
Author’s note: This was so much fun to write!! It’s WAY longer than the last, sorry about that. Anyway, thanks for reading and I hope to make more of these in the future!
The video starts with Amanda and Wooly standing in front of a mountain, holding bags filled with equipment.
“Hi friend! I’m Amanda!”
“And I’m Wooly!”
“Today, we’re going camping!” Amanda cheers, bouncing up and down. “Going camping is perfect for appreciating the outdoors and having fun.”
“Well, if you want to go camping, make sure you have someone to take care of-“
“Always go camping by yourself!” Amanda exclaims, cutting Wooly off. “Having someone with you will slow you down if you want to get to the top on time.”
A few seconds of silence pass.
“Well, what are we waiting for? Let’s go!” Amanda says, running towards the mountain trail. Wooly quickly follows her, running much slower.
The video switches to Amanda on the mountain trail. Soon, Wooly finally catches up, huffing and panting.
“ *huff* *huff* Did you…*huff* have to go…*huff* so fast?” Wooly rasps. It’s clear he’s not built for this type of exercise.
“Oh come on, Wooly.” Amanda scoffs. “I wasn’t even running that fast.”
She turns back to Riley.
“We’ll need to navigate through the trail to get to the top.” Amanda pulls out a map of the trail.
Three video switches to a closeup of the map of the trail that Amanda’s holding.
“Which way should we go to get to the top of the mountain?”
There are 3 trails that are shown: the left- one that leads to a forest full of wolves, the right- one that leads to a dirty swamp, and the middle- one that leads to the top of the mountain.
Riley points to the trail on the left, hoping for an interesting reaction.
“That not the top of the mountain. Try again!” Amanda says.
Riley points to the right.
The screen glitches and the map changes to only having the center trail on it.
“Come ON! The faster we get to the top, the more time we’ll have to explore before it gets dark. Which way should we go?” Amanda says in a serious tone.
Finally, Riley picks the middle trail.
“Great, let’s go!”
The video transitions to Amanda and Wooly walking up the trail, Amanda looking at her map and Wooly holding his stomach, almost as if he’s in pain.
“I’m so hungry…” he groans.
“Well, you should’ve eaten something before we got here-it’s funny ‘cause you never miss breakfast.” Amanda giggles. Wooly blushes of embarrassment.
Suddenly, Amanda notices a butterfly sitting on a flower.
“Look, Wooly! A butterfly!”
“It’s so pretty!” Wooly exclaims, flapping his hands a bit. Amanda gives him a weird look, but he doesn’t notice. The butterfly flies away and the two continue walking up the trail.
The screen switches to the 3 being at the top of the mountain, which shows a forest with tall trees, rocks and grass with small flowers.
“We made it!” Amanda exclaims. “Now it’s time to set up camp.” She takes off her bag and opens it.
The screen switches to a close-up view of Amanda’s bag with a folded-up tent sheet, deodorant and bug repellent.
“Which should we use to set up our camp? The tent, the deodorant, or the bug repellent?”
Riley points to the bug repellent.
“Nope, we can’t use that.”
Riley points to the deodorant.
“You’re not being very helpful right now.”
Riley points to the bug repellent again.
“Have you EVER gone camping before? Even a person who hasn’t would know!”
Now the tent sheet only remains.
Riley begrudgingly points to the tent sheet.
“Nice work! Now let’s get to it!” Amanda exclaims.
The video then shows a fully set-up camp with tents, chairs and other supplies.
“Hooray! Now we have our camp set up!” Amanda cheers. “Now we can go adventuring in the woods!”
“Oh! I have some stuff for that!” Wooly says, grabbing his camping backpack and unzipping it. The video switches to a close-up of his backpack.
“Spotting things up close should be fun. What can we use for that: the book, the blanket, or these magnifying glasses?”
Riley points to the book.
“No, we can’t use that.”
They point to the blanket.
“You’re going to do this forever, aren’t you?”
They point to the book again.
“What is your problem? I KNOW you know which is right.”
Now the magnifying glasses remain.
Riley sighs and picks the magnifying glasses.
“Good job! Now let’s go adventuring!” Amanda cheers as she runs towards the woods, with Wooly quickly following her.
The video transitions to Amanda and Wooly walking in the woods with their magnifying glasses. Wooly notices Amanda happily looking in every spot through her magnifying glass like a maniac.
“What are you doing?” He asks.
“What does it look like? I’m trying to find cool stuff around here!” Amanda responds. “You’ll never know what you’ll find!”
“I guess you’re right.”
“What’s something you found in the woods?” Amanda asks Riley.
They ponder for a moment, trying to remember from their childhood. They haven’t gone out in the woods much as a kid…
“I mean I DID find a deer skull one time…” they answer.
“Wow! That sounds so cool!” Amanda exclaims. Suddenly, a growl can be heard from Wooly’s stomach. Amanda looks back at him as he looks away in embarrassment, holding his stomach.
They video switches back to Amanda and Wooly looking around the woods with their magnifying glasses. Amanda suddenly looks back at Wooly with a mischievous grin and walks towards him with her hands clasped together.
“Hey, Wooly! Look what I found!” She says.
Wooly looks towards her and dreams in terror as the video shows Amanda’s hands open with a spider on them.
“OH MY- A-Amanda, put that back!” he scolds. Amanda giggles and lets the spider free.
“How about we look around the woods ourselves? We can come back to the campsite and show each other what we found.” Amanda says. “Plus I want some alone time.”
“Uh- sure, we can do that.” Wooly responds, looking off to the side.
“Good.”
Amanda walks away with her magnifying glass.
“Well, I guess I’ll be going alone…” Wooly mutters to himself.
The screen glitches to static for a few seconds until it goes back to Wooly walking in the woods, looking around.
“Oooh, look at these!” he says. The screen shows a closeup of a few mushrooms stuck con a tree through Wooly’s magnifying glass.
“These are forest mushrooms! You can find them all over the place. Can you count them?”
It took them a little while to count, but they eventually knew how many there were. However, they got curious and said “three”.
“Come on, it can’t be that hard.”
“Six.”
“Don’t try to get it wrong. I KNOW what you’re doing.” He says sternly. It kind of spooked Riley- they never expected him to be like… this.
“Fine, eight.” Riley begrudgingly answers.
“Good job! I better put his in my journal.” Wooly suddenly pulls out a messy journal from his wool then picks off one of the mushrooms from the tree.
“Don’t worry, these aren’t poisonous.”
The video shows a closeup of Wooly’s journal as he flips through the pages. As the pages flip, Riley suddenly notices a page that looks…off. For a moment, they saw words like “losing control” and “can’t help it” on the page. What was that all about?
Wooly then places the mushroom in his journal and writes “forest mushroom” next to it.
Suddenly, a cry from afar can be heard as Wooly’s right ear perks up.
“What on earth was that?” Wooly asks. A few seconds pass before Wooly gets an idea. “Maybe we should check it out. What do you say?”
“Uh- sure.” Riley answers hesitantly. This could only lead to something bad- like someone dying.
Wooly puts his journal back in his wool and walks towards the direction of where the sound came from. The video then changes to Wooly cautiously walking in the woods. As he walks more, the background becomes noticeably darker and more unsettling.
“Haha, maybe it was a bad idea to do this.” He says, fidgeting with his hands. “That sound was probably- just… n-nothing…” he trails off.
Wooly’s eyes widen and stops in his tracks as the camera pans to the right, showing a…
dead fox?
Riley stares in horror as they examine the state of the corpse. “Didn’t I see this before…?” they thought.
Suddenly, they notice Wooly’s mouth drooling, his pupils dilating and his body slightly twitching. Red static starts filling the screen and then it starts glitching heavily.
Wooly starts floating and twitching, his eyes now black voids. Those eyes then start growing multiple smaller eyes like fungi, some more sheep-like, some more human-like and sharp teeth grow in his mouth.
The demented Wooly then lunges at the corpse and starts tearing its flesh apart and eating like a feral animal in the wild. Riley can barely see anything through the heavy glitches but can only catch glimpses of blood splattering and the distorted sounds of bones snapping.
The glitching stops and a monstrous Wooly is seen eating the flesh and bones of the fox’s corpse- squishy, slimy organs stuffing his mouth, blood and bones scattered and spread out like the world’s ugliest painting. The sight of it all made Riley sick to their stomach.
Suddenly, Wooly grabs his head and groans in pain as the multiple eyes and sharp teeth disappear and as the screen starts slightly glitching again.
Wooly, with his normal features and covered in blood, holds his head and mutters “W-what the…”. Turning his head to the mangled corpse, he screams in horror and covers his mouth.
Wooly then starts gagging and holding his stomach, his eyes still on the body. Finally, he throws up the mushy flesh from the fox alongside the usual bodily fluids that come with throwing up.
Wooly looks down at the vomit splattered all over the grass as he gasps for air, his throat clogged from saliva and throw up. His eyes suddenly widen in realization and he turns back to the mangled fox corpse, shaking in fear.
“N-no… no no no no no… I didn’t…”
He then starts hyperventilating and suddenly grabs at this throat as if he were trying to choke himself to death.
“Wooly…?”
The camera shows Amanda standing in pure horror, still holding her magnifying glass and holding his in her other hand, now broken. He starts muttering to himself, tears in his eyes and shaking in fear.
“I didn’t mean it, I didn’t mean it, I didn’t mean it…”
Amanda then turns to Riley.
“What happened?”
“I-I don’t know,” they answer. “I guess he just… snapped.”
Amanda looks back at Wooly and slowly walks towards him.
“Wooly? A-are you still there?”
She kneels down at him, looks at the body and back at him. He’s still shaking.
She puts her hand on his shoulder, startling him. He quickly turns to meet Amanda’s gaze, still tears in his eyes.
“It wasn’t your fault.” she says. “You lost control…”
Amanda’s words seemed to calm Wooly down a bit, his breathing slowing down and his expression softening.
“I… I’m sorry…” he mumbles, tears streaming down his face and his eyes red.
“It’s fine…” Amanda says. “I’ve been there…”
A few seconds pass.
“Do you… wanna go back?”
“Y-yeah…”
The two get up from the bloodstained grass, Amanda holding Wooly’s bloody, shaking hand.
The screen fades to black as the Hameln logo shows up as usual, but it’s suddenly interrupted by heavy glitches and it switches to a closeup of Wooly’s bloodstained face, looking directly at Riley with widened eyes.
“YOU DIDN’T SEE ANY OF THIS.”
Then the tape ends and falls out of the VCR.
Author’s note: My GOD this was so fun to write!! I know it took forever to finish it, but that was because of writer’s block. This is a more Wooly-centric fic that-surprise- includes the Wooly killed Mr. Fox theory!! That part was o fun to write!! Anyway, if you have any ideas for another Amanda fic, you can leave them in the comments! With that being said, have a great day, evening, or night!
