So...yakitori literally means grilled bird.
Within two chapters of his introduction, Hawks flies right under bright spotlights like the world's most obvious Icarus, volunteers to hang out with a man who is perpetually on fire, and then suggests eating fired up bird. Guys, I think the story is trying to tell us bird man's future is looking crispy

This allusion to Icarus isn't even trying to be subtle. This was the first time Hawks' wings were depicted in their full glory, and it came with the overbearing light of the spotlights shining down on the base of his wings.
It's a neon flashing light to include imagery like this for Hawks' introduction. The message is clear: this character is an Icarus who will fall after his wings melt from flying too high, straight into the sun.
There's an interesting juxtaposition between Hawks' words and how he appears in this arc. He speaks as if he wants to take it easy while being drawn like a man with ambitions that will eventually burn him to the ground.
