The Man At The End Of My Bed (October 8th)

In the dark

I see your eyes glowing.

Swaying slightly

But never showing

The features of your face

Must be truly terrifying

For shadow to be your home

And further verifying

The paralysing fear

That runs through me

Whenever you are near.

My eyes hurt

Because I’m scared to blink.

Swallowing against my dry throat,

You’re here to harm me, I think.

A tear escapes

As I silently weep.

Please go away, Shadow Man

I want to go to sleep.
