Speaking of all that "record computer audio clearly with a tape cassette with this one simple trick" thing.
Typical found footage/found tapes horror protagonist comes across my cassette lying in the woods and is like "oh. What's this? Wonder what's on this" and the woods whisper in return but they brush it off as wind. Two men drop a mirror and a black cat hisses at them on the way back. The streetlight infront of their house flickers then gives out. They swear they can hear creaking somewhere in their house as they sit down, calling a buddy and cracking wise about this strange tape they found (Mainly to satisfy the human urge to share experience, but a small, subconcious part hoping to relieve brewing nerves) before hitting play. Shrek 2 but every time he says donkey it gets faster audio only
