For everyone who hesitates to comment on a fic

Today I got a reply to a comment saying that the author had been so discouraged by the lack of response on the last two chapters that they had decided not to finish it, but that they had changed their mind and were now thinking of finishing. Just because I took 30 seconds to comment on each chapter.

It doesn’t matter if the fic is years old

It doesn’t matter if you don’t know what to say (“I loved this” is always music to an author’s ears, no matter how many times we hear it)

The author will not think you’re a creeper if you’re commenting on every single one of their fics

The author WILL cuddle your comments close to their hearts like the precious gems that they are, even if they’re only one word.

Comments and feedback matter. I’ve written in fandoms and for pairings that have very active, vocal fans who comment a lot, and I’ve written for ships that are not terribly popular and don’t get much reaction. The difference in my attitude is incredible.

Your feedback matters to authors. Click the kudos button, but please, take the time to leave a comment. Even if it’s just one word. If you like the writing and want to see more, let the author know

So how does Ladybug figure out that Simulacrum is Adrien who is Chat Noir? Does Plagg end up escaping and just finds Ladybug and begs her to help save Adrien? Does she suddenly see his power and realize that it is Chat Noir akumatized? Does Simulacrum slip and reveal something or say something he shouldn't have and she get it there?

I don’t really want to answer this all the way yet because I’m trying to work it into another comic! But yeah essentially Adrien has the forethought to take off the ring when he realizes what’s about to happen, and Plagg manages to escape with it.

I don’t think Miraculous holders can become akumatized under normal circumstances. But if your father happens to be a super villain who believes that the ends justify the means, and who just happens to force an akuma into your scarf when pretending to give you an encouraging pat on the back following an argument, then maybe it could happen.

ITS SO GOOD??? not to be a square but I was super reluctant about reading it–cause overly-sexual stories and bdsm-type things just aren’t…. typically….. for me–BUT IM GLAD THAT I DID BECAUSE ITS SO INCREDIBLE! of course, not for young readers. and trust me, even if you don’t think this AU will be your cup of tea: you’re wrong. because this ace jackass (*points at self*) thought the same fucking thing.

I squeal. literally I was rocking a baby to sleep at work this morning–holding his bottle with my chin–as I read the newest update and tried not to pee myself laughing. it’s my hands-down favorite fic that I’m reading right now. probably. and I know I say that a lot, but god damnit I mean it this time!!! I think. either way it’s incredible and if you aren’t already reading it then what the fuck are you waiting for?

thoughts: don’t let the title fool you; there isn’t anything X-rated about this kick-ass story. this is the first fic that I’ve ever read that has fanart right there in the story, which is undoubtedly the coolest fucking thing I’ve ever come across while reading a fanfic. it’s one of those, keeps-you-on-the-edge-of-your-seat stories with the perfect amounts of suspense, romance, humor, and angst. yep, all of that in one. plus fucking fanart. it’s awesome; definitely check it out.

okay unpopular opinion time: I’m glad Ahsoka’s character is “gone”

just hear me out okay? it seems that everyone in the fandom kept expecting her to get used on screen far more than she actually was. but tough luck - she didn’t. HOWEVER this does not mean she was not utilized in the story line.
