In the woods, where shadows dance,
The moon, a silver crescent, enchants.
Through branches, its soft glow weaves,
A celestial ballet among leaves.
Whispers of night echo through trees,
Moonlight reveals nature's mysteries.
Silent steps on a path unseen,
A lunar serenade, tranquil and serene.
The forest, a canvas of silver and green,
Moonbeams weave a nocturnal sheen.
A celestial waltz, a woodland tune,
In the quiet embrace of the enchanted moon.

its true that complimenting strangers is fun and nice. people will go "awwww really" when you say their hair is cute. people will go "thanks" and straighten up a little when you compliment the colors they're wearing. people will say "oh yeah i got it at (place)" if you say a charm on their bag is cool. people really do appreciate it and its very whimsy and you can just do this for free
You have the right to work in a place that is free from harassment and bullying. Know your rights. Civil Rights Act Title VII for anyone in the US. And for anyone in California, the far superior FEHA. https://www.eeoc.gov/statutes/title-vii-civil-rights-act-1964 https://www.dor.ca.gov/Home/FairEmploymentAct
the fact that we only have βherculean taskβ and βsisyphean taskβ feels so limiting. so hereβs a few more tasks for your repertoire
icarian task: when you have a task you know youβre going to fail at anyways, so why not have some fun with it before it all comes crashing down
cassandrean task: when you have to deal with people you KNOW wonβt listen to you, despite having accurate information, and having to watch them fumble about when you told them the solution from the start (most often witnessed in customer service)
feel free to chime in i ran out of ideas much faster than i anticipated
Talking with a one-downer is so much worse than talking with a one-upper.
Both of them make you belittled and insignificant. But one of them makes you feel like your plights are invalid and completely overshadowed by their own.
I know damn well that I'm in a better place than a lot of other people. But when I'm expressing my own struggles and want to talk about them, that's not an invitation to start talking about your own problems and how much worse off you are.
