La vie en rose

You were leaning against a tree as you read  a new book you had received as a birthday gift from Jo and were invested in the storyline as you felt yourself slowly inserting yourself into the story. You were too caught up in following the life of Jane Eyre to notice that Laurie had found his spot on the picnic blanket and he was watching you with a lovesick grin etched on his face like a permanent tattoo that he never could get rid of. He didn't mind though, it was you.

God, he never got tired of looking at you.

He worries that if he looks away for even a second that you could disappear from his life in a flash. He cannot get over how enchanting you are— the way your face lights up in different emotions as you immerse yourself in your story is so endearing to him. He will always remember the day when he realized that he’s in love with you.

It was raining hard that day and he'll never forget the way you looked at him and grabbed his hand and danced in the middle of the street as heavy raindrops fell down on both of you — he wanted nothing more than to kiss you that day.

Laurie shook himself out of his reverie and grabbed a flower and lightly threw it over towards you, and you looked up from your book and made eye contact with Laurie. He was staring at you with a soft smile on his face, which made your stomach fill with a million little butterflies. “Laurie! How long have you been here?”, you asked shyly, as you suddenly felt awkward under his gaze, you weren’t expecting company today and you definitely had not dressed 'appropriately'.

“Don’t do that. You are exquisite, you know that,” Laurie said with sincerity in his voice and his eyes when he looked at you like the way everyone wants to be looked at, he stared at you as if to say “you’re the only person I want to look at”.

You marked your place in your copy of Jane Eyre and sat next to Laurie on the picnic blanket and eyed him curiously. “I like that you are here, but why are you here, Laurie?”, you questioned him as you brushed off leaves that were clinging onto you like post-it notes.

Laurie’s eyes shone in excitement and oh, he was so beautiful. He is one of the kindest people you know, and he has the purest heart in the world. You wished he saw you the way you saw him, but even if you couldn't have him in the way you wanted, you'd still keep him as your friend. A life without Laurie would be like trying to breathe without oxygen, pointless.

“I was running errands for my grandfather and this reminded me of you, so I wanted to show you,” Laurie confessed as he held out a small silver box tied with a black bow and he motioned for you to open it. You untied the bow and opened the box and gasped in surprise.

“Laurie..”, you began, but Laurie shook his head and just waited to see your reaction. Your eyes shone in delight as you held up the gold necklace that had a beautiful crescent moon charm attached to it and you noticed an engraving on it and you almost broke down in tears of joy. There was a tiny engraving on the back of the charm — “I got you the moon” .

You didn't even know how to respond — you were overwhelmed with so many emotions, and you could not even express how thankful you were for him. He took the necklace and clasped it around your neck and it looked so alluring as it laid across your chest like it always belonged there. You were going to say something, but Laurie just held your hand and all your thoughts had gone away; he did that to you.

Your heart was doing backflips — you wanted to kiss him so badly.

“Y/n, I have loved you for as long as I can remember. I remember that rainy day where we danced in the rain. I almost kissed you that day. I know we are young, but I am so in love with you, I cannot even stand another minute not being able to have you in the way I want. Please say you love me too”, Laurie admitted as he rubbed comforting circles on the back of your hand.

Your heart was bursting with love; he loved you back.

“Laurie, just kiss me”, you answered as you leaned closer to him and he placed his hands on your face and pulled your face closer and kissed you with so much adoration, you kept finding yourself smiling into the heavenly kiss.

You were too caught up in the feeling of Laurie’s lips on yours to even recognize the voices of the March sisters that were cheering as you and Laurie continued to kiss as if tomorrow would never come and you would not see each other.

Laurie put a hand on your waist to pull you closer to him and he continued his whispers of love and eternity as his soft lips danced with yours in perfect harmony, his kiss felt as if you were hearing your favorite old song again. He kept pulling you closer as if you were not close enough to him, but you didn’t mind, you had been waiting forever for him. He moved his hand towards your thigh , not in a sexual way; he just wanted to show you his love.

He has been deprived of you for so long, and he needed you to be close to him, as much as possible.

“Hey! Keep it PG!”, Jo shouted as you detached your lips from Laurie’s and he pouted, which was so cute. He stood up and pulled you along with him, he wanted to be alone with you, he didn't care what you were doing, he just loved being around you, he loved your smile, your laugh, your eyes, your lips, your hair.

He loved you so much.

“You are mesmerizing. I love you”, Laurie blurted out as he pulled you closer to him and placed a kiss on top of your head.

Laurie has always been the love of your life and you have always been his and now you get to be kissed by him and it is a beautiful thing. He gets to show everyone how lucky he is —you  are all his.

thoughts on my blog? writings? content?

i've been planning and organizing some things for my writing and this blog for a while, and other sites (wattpad, ao3). but, i'm also very curious about what you all would like to see from me, which lead me to make a google form lol

so if you'd like, please read through these questions carefully and answer them truthfully (make take about five minutes or so)

i already have an idea of what i want to do and what kind of schedule i'll have for posting and such. i just love hearing everyone else's input or advice

speaking of which, if you have any advice on how you manage to put out content and stay semi-active while juggling school, work, etc. i'd love to know! <333
