Part 4 of Ford Blew Up His House AU (name pending)

The first page of Part 4 of a black and white digital Gravity Falls comic. It opens on Stan's clenched fist as he says, "Well. That sucks. ...Can you tell me more about this guy? Like, who is he? And what'd ya do to make him want you dead so badly?" Ford looks away and replies, "You wouldn't believe me." Stan gives him a deadpan look and says, "Try me." Ford looks at his reflection in the window. Bill is there, grabbing his reflection's head and frowning. Ford says, "His name is Bill. He's a demonic entity from another plane of existence. I made a deal with him, but he tried to make me end the world, so I tried to stop him. I blew up the portal, and the house," here the speech bubbles start to get shaky, "and my research. So he can't fix any of it, and now he's going to kill me." Ford's face is in shadow now.

Page 2 of Part 4 of the Gravity Falls comic. Stan asks, "One more time?" From an outside perspective of the car, a giant hand (presumably Bill's) drags what appears to be Ford away from the car and out of frame. Ford, still in the car, says, "I told you that you wouldn't believe me." He blinks and the parking lot outside is empty with no Bill in sight. Stan says, "You gotta admit, it sounds crazy." Ford thinks, "As if I am not aware of that." But Stan says, "But I don't care. Okay?" Ford thinks, "What?" and Stan continues, frowning determinedly, "I don't care if you're crazy or not. You're clearly in no position to be takin' care of yourself, so I'm gonna take care of you. Alright?" After a pause, Ford agrees, "...Alright."

Bill in the background: hahaha I got your reflectionnnn whatcha gonna do about ittttt :)

Ford: I literally couldn't care any less

Stan, meanwhile: this is a very different problem than I thought it would be...

Oh this fic is a lovely. It’s one of those quiet, introspective fics that you think about later, and this one in particular is just so good.

What if Ford had a phone with him when he went through the portal? One with really, really good service?

You guys like the Martian Stan AU? THIS FIC is one kind of similar, in that it follows the thirty or so years that Ford is in the portal, only it INCLUDES Stan’s running commentary via a telephone with a really long cord (not really). Such a delightful read.

First of all, if you ARENT reading all of DarkLordOfAwesomeness’s fics then what are you even doing. The Cat Stan AU is PEAK, and I jump every-time I see Cat Stan Extras update. This fic in particular is just. Beautiful. And identity based shenanigans are so much fun. Seriously, read this fic, and then go read everything else this author wrote.

Also, this fic is a part of an ongoing Frankenstan series that brings me joy every time it updates, and we really just need more Frankenstan in the world. Love this fic!

Ford has missed over forty birthdays with his brother, and there's nothing he can do to get them back. But he can still make their first birthday back together as meaningful as possible.

If he can figure out how.

This is one of those fluff fics that make you smile so hard you have to look away from your screen. It’s just. So. Good. Ford’s internal dialogue is heart wrenchingly sincere and earnest, and this fic DOES make me tear up a little bit. Or maybe it’s just dust, you can’t prove anything.

The DIALOGUE of this fic. I laughed at this right out of the gate, and there isn’t a line in this fic that doesnt spark joy. It’s canon. To me.
