as true as the jokes about “everyone wants to rewrite ninjago” are i feel like smthn people forget when complaining about the inconsistencies of the show is that…. it wasn’t planned? it’s not like most other animated shows lately - it didn’t start with a deeply fleshed out world or a meticulously designed pitch bible with grandiose plans for a long-term story or character arcs. the ninja don’t originally get their powers from heredity because they weren’t hereditary powers yet. the magic system doesn’t make sense bc they literally just made it up as they went! they go back and forth on stuff like whether non-elementals can learn spinjitzu bc it’s a collaborative piece of media made by people with vastly different levels of control over the story, the animation, the sets, etc. that varied over the course of the series. it’s totally understandable and exciting to see so many people reworking the early stuff with the lore and logic later seasons introduced but i personally feel that… if you’re doing that. you need to understand why the show is like that instead of writing it off as being bad and shitty. it was working with what it had. it’s only what it is now because of that awkward troubleshooting phase, not in spite of it
So does anyone else find that the 2000’s is called the 21st century and the 1900’s are called the 20th century and so forth is confusing? I mean when I’ve watched Doctor Who and someone talks about about the 19th century I think there talking about the 1900’s when In fact it’s the 1800’s. I looked up the reason but that didn’t help, I’m even more confused.
Oh, my gods! He’s so cute!
ARIN, WHOM I DRAWN IN MIDDLE NOVEMBER FOR HALLOWEEN, OH YES.
I can’t remember where I read that Techno considering he’s a Piglin wouldn’t like Michael because he’s zombified. But clearly they were forgetting that Techno lives with a Zombified Piglin named Hubert that he’s very attached to.
This is the most posts I’ve made on any platform.
to our beloved Cole, our Ninja of Earth- you will be missed every day, you will be in our thoughts, you will forever be our hero. Ninjago will never be the same without you. You and the other Ninjas kept me alive during the worst parts of my life and I will forever owe you for that, for making me laugh and smile, for making me cry. I am beyond thankful I got to meet you, that I got to be a part of the Ninjago family for 8 years, and that Ninjago was what led me to my friends, to my art, and to my writing. You will be forever missed.
Sadly I didn’t know Unus Annus was a thing till MatPat did a theory. And only got around to watching it a week ago, November, 5, 2020. However I did manage to watch all 364 videos within time for the live stream.
Even got dressed up for the stream.
tw; death threats, stalking, harassment
I am making this post warning fandom artists, writers, and individuals in the animation industry to be wary of an individual known to plagiarize, stalk, harass, and run individuals off of their platforms: user taurealis, otherwise known as: Grace, deoxyriibos, Summer’s Crush, astroloqueen, sweetnsasssy, availheuristic#1707 (among many other aliases, additionally listed in the original call-out post)
Grace is a serial cyber stalker, who frequently “befriends” others she admires, only to abuse anonymous features to send hate, creates account after account to send toxicity after being blocked, and frequently lies about having “powerful friends” to evade consequences of her actions.
This user has gone as far as to call areas of employment to spread lies in an attempt to have multiple innocent animators fired, try to manipulate minors to move close to her, send death threats via anon (all anons lead back to the same IP address, which I will not share out of concerns for privacy), and frequently pressures others to meet up in real life.
(screenshot provided by one of her victims, who was kind enough to allow me to share one of the hateful messages they received)
Multiple industry professionals have been made aware of her actions because she is so notorious for harassing others; many are still too afraid to come forward unless via anon, where you can see multiple testimonies of her behavior.
**If this post shows up on your fandom tag, please be careful, let others know, and stay cautious of her presence in online spaces.**
AU where Zuko realises very early into his banishment that he’s been sent on a hopeless goose chase and, actually, he doesn’t want to return to the oppressive Fire Nation and his abusive father. And he sticks with this decision even after Aang wakes up from the iceberg
Except then Aang meets Zuko - probably when Zuko jumps in to save someone, because his sense of justice is too strong to just sit back while someone is hurt, even if he is trying to remain apolitical - and his brain goes “!!!!” Because that’s a good firebender. They do exist. And now Aang knows someone who can teach him firebending without trying to kill him
Except Zuko wants nothing to do with the Avatar. He especially doesn’t want to get entangled with his father’s war. So the rest of the season is about Zuko running from the Avatar, and Aang and co trying to capture the reluctant ex-Prince of the Fire Nation so he can be Aang’s firebending teacher
Why am I only finding out about these woman now?
