Izuku wakes up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat. Heart pounding hard, fingers cold. He sits up on the bed, trying to catch his breath. He hadn't had bad dreams for a long time.

It's pouring outside as the room is suddenly illuminates with a bright light. A loud thunder from the above makes Izuku flinch. Rubbing the nosebridge, he closes his eyes, trying to focus on how to calm down.

But his heart was still pounding in fear, as if he was chased by a bunch of wolves. Ears were full of his own blood boiling. He almost kicks himself out of the bed, stepping quietly towards the bathroom.

Having reached the sink, he leans on it with almost the whole body. Turning on the cold water he leans in and puts his head under it. It cools, but he feels a lump of emotion rolls up to the throat.

He realizes that his eyes are fully wet and just watches as the water goes down the sink, mixed with his own tears. He doesn't know why he is crying, he just feels very bad.

Suddenly he felt a warm sensation, someone's arms around him. He shudders and turns around sharply, but there is no one in the bathroom besides him. Only the sound of water filled the ringing silence of the lonely apartment.

A moment later he collapses down to the floor with a loud cry. Even the seething water doesn't block his deafening sob, as if a thousand of knives had been thrust into his back. He stutters, chokes in his own sobs, wishing to feel nothing.

For the past decade, the hero number one has lost the meaning of life, because the most important person to his heart has gone.

"Kacchan..." he barely utters, swallowing another sob. "I miss you so much..."
