Deku vs Kacchan 2 took all the elements from S1 that were destroyed and chaotic and fixed them just like their bond. 

Bakugou’s very first smile in the show is one of malicious contempt, mocking Deku’s attempt at standing up to him; during their fight Bakugou smiles because Deku is finally taking him seriously and using his power, attacking him with all his strenght, just like he asked him to. 

When Bakugou talks about their future and how he will do better to surpass him his mind brings up Deku’s notebook, the one he burned, in its original state. One of the warnings he gave Deku to face reality and stop fantasizing about being a hero, now with the book fixed he acknowledges Deku’s dream of being a hero.

The line separating them since the opening is still there because they haven’t overcome all obstacles to raise each other up yet but the eye contact shows they are aware of each other, Bakugou is not fearing Deku and Deku doesn’t feel rejected by Bakugou. The have realized there’s a potential for more in the future, that the other has what they need to be a complete and the best heroes. After talking to All Might the line separating them is replaced by a white line, and it’s coming from All Might’s path, after all he is the one to change their perspective and it’s thanks to him they stand side by side at the same stage instead of chasing each other.

two boys, painted in green stand in a  silent city. it is dark,  except for the way one of them glows.

he is the kind of bright you cannot dampen, cannot  cover or stamp out. he is like  warm sunshine.

the other is— shadowed, hunched over as if he is protecting himself, curled up tight. the  words from his mouth are sharp, edges like broken glass, but they are wrapped carefully in  green.

sparks fly from his hands, and he is charging, the bang of an explosion echoing behind him. 

red meets green. light meets dark.

they trade blow for blow, leave dents in the buildings and sidewalks. the clash is spectacular.

and when the dust settles, there is  silence, once more. the light has been battered away.

but in that moment, in traded words and easy rivalry, there is a promise. 

one day, they will shine together.

and let the history books name joe biden, rishi sunak, justin trudeau, emmanuel macron, ursula von der leyen and every other world leader who did not step in to prevent the genocide of palestine as cold-blooded murderers. may they face a shred of the immeasurable pain and suffering they allowed to be committed against 2.2. million innocent lives.

For anyone not keeping up, Trump held a rally earlier today, told his supporters to storm the Capitol building with him, then went to hide in the White House.

Protestors tore through 4 layers of barricades and are fighting cops to get into the Capitol building. A possible bomb was spotted and the Madison and Cannon buildings have been evacuated while a bomb squad was called in. And just now the Capitol has gone into lockdown.

But also Pence issued a statement that he is not doing anything with the electors and McConnell denounced Republican senators’ efforts to stop counting the electoral votes.

And as I was writing this, the protesters breached the Capitol and Pence was pulled from the Senate chamber.

Making myself sad thinking about Katsuki being hit by a quirk that lets him see his soul bonds as strings connecting him to people he cares about-

And one string is so flimsy looking, obviously dragged through hell- and he knows that color.

Him spending the next couple of days, because the quirk lasts for a while, toying with the green string- the thought of cutting it and permanently getting rid of Izuku floating by before sighing and letting it go

And it’s weird- because he can ignore everyone else’s strings connecting to him. It’s Izuku’s that he can’t stop looking at.

Them going through something and it’s like something snaps, y’know? Because one minute they’re arguing and next thing Katsuki knows Izuku is telling him that he gets it. “I’m going to leave you alone, okay? That’s what you want, right Bakugo?”

And Katsuki watching the string connecting him to Izuku just... wither up and turn to dust and suddenly it’s like he can’t breathe- he’s standing there, a roaring ocean in his ears as Izuku walks away

That’s not what he wanted- that’s not what he wanted at all.

Cue in the next couple of days as he tries to figure out what the hell he’s going through- what he wants-

And the answer is so simple that it hurts

Because all Katsuki wants is Izuku in his life. Knowing that right now, Izuku wants nothing to do with him is- it’s messing him up. He thought he’d always have the nerd stuck to him.

Friendship is a two way street. That’s why the string connecting them was a dark green- and why the other strings were a lovely blend.

And them having a moment as Izuku holds Katsuki and Katsuki finally fucking admits that he wants Izuku in his life “I can’t imagine a world without you”

And Izuku staring at the blonde before letting out a “stupid Kacchan!”

And the blend of their connected string brings Katsuki so much relief he passes tf out
