I feel as if people don't know that indentity can be radical
Not just with Civil Fights, but day to day life
I, myself, live in a world where it is radical to wake in the morning
But not many people know it
When I wake up, alive and living, anger flares in hundreds of people
When I eat,
sleep,
and breathe,
there are people who hate me
When I enjoy my life, people wish me death
I, however, have an easier life than others like this
But I still live in a world where it is radical to be myself
When it is Radical to be Yourself,
you live in a world where people hate your very being
You living is a polictal statement,
that you are here and they cannot get rid of you
As a Trans Youth living in the U.S.,
my very life is a polictal statement
To those who hate me,
who want me dead,
who write and fund legislature that could ruin me,
Me living is a political statement
And to this rest like me,
who live a life like this,
Stay Living
For Who You Are is Radical,
and they cannot change that
Every breathe you take,
is proof that you and your community is stronger than those who hate
I've said this many times before -if you call yourself a feminist and you're silent about ANY person being oppressed around the world by violent dictators/regimes/governments (among many injustices) you're not a feminist. If your feminism isn't intersectional, it's not feminism -it's white feminism. If you don't know about or aren't talking about Sudan and the rampant sexual violence against Sudanese women by a terrorist genocidal militia -then GET TO KNOW and start talking about it because this is horrifying. I'm so tired of seeing mostly white women come to the frontlines of issues when it only benefits or impacts them. I'm beyond embarrassed for you.
In front of the Journalists' Syndicate, Cairo, Egypt, on 15th January 2024.
The crowd chants:
Translation:
Egypt participates in this siege! A crossing between us and our people! Controlled by Zionists! As long as Arab blood is seen as cheap, Any and every president must fall! Mandela's grandchildren have done it, While we are seized by fear, shame, and humiliation! We demand Rafah Crossing open!
Yup this.
And thank you South Africa and Ireland for always standing with the oppressed. They know how it feels to be oppressed by colonisers.
Long live Palestine 🇵🇸
Long live South Africa 🇿🇦
Long live Ireland 🇮🇪
The thing I don't understand is when I say free Palestine, so many people think that means I hate the Israeli people. That I don't care if they die.
I care about the Israeli people.
I care about the Israeli hostages that were shot down by their own military.
I care about all Israeli hostages in general.
I care about the Israeli men being thrown in jail because they refuse to assist in the "war" around them.
I care about the Israeli people who don't support the genocide happening infront of their very eyes.
Even the Israeli people who do, I don't wish death upon them, or whatever hateful thing you think I do.
When I say free Palestine, I don't mean I hate the Israeli people.
When I say free Palestine, I mean Free Palestine
