Day 28 - Future

Dazai finally got the surname he wanted so much.

And that's the end for the whole dazatsu month. I loved doing this. Thank you everyone who joined or just liked all the stuff different people did for this event.

There are some people whose dread of human beings is so morbid that they reach a point where they yearn to see with their own eyes monsters of ever more horrible shapes… Painters who have had this mentality, after repeated wounds and intimidations at the hands of the apparitions called human beings, have often come to believe in phantasms—they plainly saw monsters in broad daylight, in the midst of nature. And they did not fob people off with clowning; they did their best to depict these monsters just as they had appeared.

Oh, hello my old heart. How have you been?

“Chuuya.”

“He’s here, Ane-san,” he broke down, his face distraught and his hands on his chest, clutching the fabric of his shirt as if he could rip his heart out. Ane-san stopped smiling. “I let him in, damn it, and I don’t know how to get him out or what to do. I’m desperate.”

“Chuuya, dear.”

Chuuya staggered and fell back into his seat, burying his face in his hands as he fought back the tears. He jumped when Ane-san ran her fingers through his hair. He sniffled. She gently untied his hair and began to comb through his curls.

“I’m sorry,” he whimpered, wiping away tears with the heel of his hand.

“Feelings are complicated.”

“No, Dazai is complicated as hell,” he mumbled.

Kouyou smiled sweetly.

just learnt about the t-jacket, a jacket that simulates the feeling of a hug and therefore might help autistic people when overstimulated (you know, deep pressure helps to shut off all the other sensory inputs from the environment)

soooo... anyone else thinking about chuuya crafting one (gravity manipulation comes in handy sometimes) and giving it to dazai?

You wait and wait for happiness, and when finally you can't bear it any longer, you rush out of the house, only to hear later that a marvelous happiness arrived the following day at the home you had abandoned, and now it was too late. Sometimes happiness arrives one night too late.
