Welcome to the 5th Annual Klaine/CrissColfer Fanfiction Challenge!

It’s all about the love, folks. Love, Love, LOVE! 14 days of love. The library will post a song prompt, complete with lyrics and video if available, at midnight EST starting on February 1 and every day through February 14th.

The challenge is open to both Klaine fanfic and CrissColfer fanfic (or art).

You can do whatever your muse tells you. Either write a 14 chapter story (the more new stories in fandom, the better!), or 14 separate one shots, or you can create art. However you interpret the song is up to you. Maybe just the title moves you, the lyrics, just one line in the lyrics - it’s up to you. And the more words, the merrier!

Fan Fiction is a Catch 22

As a fan fiction writer, I’ve been told that my fandom is dying because no one is writing more fan fictions, or not finishing the ones that have been posted. I’ve also been told that people want to wait until a story is completed before they will leave a review.

To those readers who wait until the story is completed, that’s great, but sometimes all it takes is a little encouragement midway for an author to complete a story. Maybe some of those authors gave up because no one was commenting, so they figured no one liked the story, so why bother finishing it?

If the readers want the fandom to continue, maybe they should show a little more support to the writers who are trying to keep it alive. All it takes is just a few words;

Don’t stop

Thank you for keeping this alive

Thank you for writing this

This made me cry

This made me laugh

You’re doing a good job

Fan Fiction is a give and take, but if the writers and the readers give each other what we all need, we can revive this fandom.

So relieved to discover that my country does not come under the yoke of the RN. But the tricky part is yet to come and I hope that this alliance will continue until the next elections. 🙏🤞
