Happy Harpy! :)
Boss makes a dollar while I make a dime so I take a shit on company time.
you gotta clock in and go piss, dont piss and then clock in. never surrender! steal company time forever
I would like to propose an experiment.
Now forgive me if such a thing already exists or is ongoing but I am typing this while at work and don't have time to research.
So take a big patch of land and put a tree farm on it. Mostly fill it up with a fast growing tree species (perhaps a fast growing species of pine) but also evenly space a second species of much larger but slower growing tree. Then periodically harvest and replant the faster trees while leaving the slower trees alone.
Also cut the farm in half. On one half do a seasonal burn of the lower brush and on the other half don't.
The goal of this experiment would be to see how the size of the larger trees impacts the growth of the smaller trees and other biotic and abiotic factors.
Will they help them grow faster?
Will they make them grow more slowly?
How will the bigger trees impact the soil?
How will the smaller trees impact the soil?
What kinds of fauna will this benefit?
What kinds of fauna will this harm?
Will this help or harm the ecosystem in and around the tree farm?
How does the fire impact the soil?
How does the fire impact the trees?
How does the fire impact the fauna?
How does the fire affect the nutrient cycle?
How do the big trees impact the nutrient cycle?
How do the small trees impact the nutrient cycle?
Ask someone who studied fungi to tell you what the hell they are doing.
Will this encourage or discourage biodiversity?
She's right and I'm scared
I want Nintendo to make the GameCube2 and release remastered versions of the sonic adventure games.
That is all.

You realise you have misheard your daughter. There’s a mobster under her bed.
These 3D-printed prosthetics for children are given to them free of charge. (via @techthatmatters)⠀
⠀
Meet @teamunlimbited, a non-profit from the UK that’s on a mission to change the lives of children with missing limbs by helping them get custom 3D-printed prosthetics, free of charge.⠀
⠀
The innovative 3D-printed arm devices are designed to empower and inspire children to improve their confidence and courage. Each innovative 3D printed arm device is made by volunteers and gives a helping hand to remove the long-standing stigma around discussing disability.⠀
⠀
The prosthetics are cost-effective and easy to produce. They are fully parametric, thermo-formed 3D printed limbs that are light-weight, highly customizable and colourful. The average production cost is £30 (around $40) per arm. It’s a simple act of kindness that won’t get unnoticed.⠀
⠀
Team UnLimbited designs are attractive alternatives to the current, clunky and expensive, prosthetic options available. The designs are open source and freely available to anyone in the world with a 3D printer. On average, an arm takes 24 hours to complete.

It is my 17nth birthday and I have decided I no longer want to be human.
I do not want to die, so don't get all houghy with me.
I'm just tired of being human.
I want to be somthing else. Something that has never been before.
I'm not even sure what this would be yet, nor am I sure that I care.
I just don't want to be HUMAN.
The Word
All at once, at an uncertain time, on an uncertain day, when no one quite knew what was going on, some people, no one knows how many, started to hear a word. They could not speak it, though they tried. It was as if their mouths became mute to that word alone. They tried to write it, for they were desperate to share, but they found no lettering in any language that conveyed it accurately. Some, those who could, attempted drawing it, painting it, dancing it, singing it, and even sculpting it, but all failed. The Word defied depiction.
It is noiseless, thoughtless, depthless, ceaseless, beginning less, touchless, all encompassing, tasteless, seen, unseen, start, end, nothing, everything, kindness, unkindness, life, death, all of these things, and none of these things. The word defied definition.
A few attempted to live the word through their actions. Some were kind to their fellow man. Giving away all that they had and more, working tirelessly to improve the lives of those around them. They built community, they built love, they built prosperity, and they built peace. Brick by brick, through the corroborative efforts of many people they built a home for all. Again, the word defied depiction.
Some attempted to violently carve the word into the flesh of those around them. Performing disturbing surgeries and mutilations on any they could. They killed, they brutalized, they broke people down, they built monsters from their flesh, and they baptized the world in blood. The word defied depiction.
The word has still never been shared to anyone other than those who heard it, on that uncertain day, at that uncertain time, and it never will be. They will all die with this secret, in utter agony at the thought that The Word dies with them.
No one will ever hear The Word again.
