Something I Made In 2015-2016

Personally, all I could think of was Perry the Platypus when I first saw it.

Am I losing my mind or does this new alien from Steven Universe just remind of the porg from Star Wars: The Last Jedi???

Heh, maybe this time I'll actually put effort in this booping thing and get a second cat paw. I don't want to get too cocky though, I'm not as wild with the boops as some others are, although I still find it amusing. lol

Looky! I made a DND oc and she's adorable! Now time for the lore behind her for those who care to read it. lol When I first though her up my main goal was to create a character that combines my three favorite aesthetics: Stars, flowers (specifically blossoming trees), and twilight/dawn colors. My other goal was to also give her a classes that I would choose if I were teleported into the DND world. What can I say, the bard and druid has always appealed to me on an aesthetic level, even if their multi-class is not the most powerful. I'm more into creating unique characters than actually making them good to play in DND. XD I also gave her the background of anthropologist because I want her job to be something that would fit the part of my personality that cares way too much about symbolism. Essentially I wanted her to have a job that pays her to talk about symbolism. XD It was either that or creative writing professor or art historian. XD I thought anthropologist would make more sense for her to be on adventures than the other 2 options. Besides why would I have her career be an artist when she can be an artist and also have an altruistic career I would never do irl? lol Lastly, I'll explain the aurora star elf part of her mixed race heritage. Essentially, I deemed the aurora star elf as a combination sun, moon, and star elf to create a type of elf that's specifically associated with the evening star. As said in the profile, the aurora star elf has the same stats as a high elf. I just thought such an elf with that specific mixed race heritage would look cool and than I mess up the coolness factor for Astraea by also making her part forest gnome. What can I say, I like my eccentric looking relationships. a hot person getting together with another hot person is boring to me. I need at least one of them not conventionally attractive. XD Anyway, that's about all I wanted to say I think. Hope you like her and thank you for making it this far. lol

@mambocat No,no! It has nothing to do with you. I was referring to that my comments don’t always get replied to. Mostly because I don’t always bring up anything worth adding onto for various reasons or I just reblogged at a bad time and I get missed accidentally.

You did nothing wrong, I just mostly said that out of pessimism. I’m a little histrionic (that’s a word you don’t read every day).

Anyway, to get back on topic. Mario Odyssey looks nice but reminiscent of Sonic Adventure and only makes it worse when Mario rolls like Sonic now. Here’s to hoping Project 2017 is awesome.

So I need to just take a moment to poop on everyone’s party…I just watched the trailer for “Super Mario Odyssey,” and while it does indeed look very interesting, I can’t help but feel salty over the double standard being utilized here.

So the trailer starts with what appears to be New York or some other large REAL WORLD city, with actual humans - as in realistic ones - walking around minding their own business, and then SUDDENLY here comes Mario with his signature whoo hoo to turn everything into fodder for his cartoon physics.

Now that in and of itself is not a bad thing, no problem with the premise itself. My issue is…fairly simple to understand and may even come off as petty but I’ll risk it regardless.

If everyone is excited about Mario being in the real world…

WHY IN GOD’S NAME WAS IT CONSIDERED A HORRIBLE IDEA FOR SONIC AND STILL IS TO THIS DAY?!

As soon as Mario does it, all that talk about “oh Sonic is a cartoon hedgehog and he doesn’t belong in a realistic universe” goes out the window. You can’t praise Mario for doing it and then say Sonic doesn’t belong when they’re both video game characters who are clearly “out of place” in the world they’re in.

The only difference I can foresee happening here is that Mario won’t have much of a “story” as usual despite the name “odyssey” and Mario of course won’t talk.

And if that does turn out to be the key difference, then Sonic being in the real world was never the problem as so many people claim. The issue was the story itself. How dare someone take a silent protagonist and try to give him a personality?

SEGA tried everything to “backpedal” from the hyper realistic art style, making the humans more cartoony as opposed to actually looking like real life humans. But it didn’t matter, Sonic was still in the “real” world and thus it was bad.

Only when humans (sans Eggman) were cut out altogether were so-called fans happy with the world Sonic lived in again. Where all the humans? Who cares, Sonic shouldn’t be with humans anyway.

But apparently this is okay, because it’s Mario instead of Sonic. Real humans? Yeah that’s okay! It’s about time Mario ventured past the Mushroom Kingdom a little bit!

I call BS, hard.

Since Mario did what he did, then I don’t wanna hear one godforsaken complaint from ANYONE if Project 2017 decides to go back to using human background characters.

I’ve gotten into debates with gamer friends of mine who say that Sonic in the real world (Earth) actively angers them. I should ask them how they feel about Mario and see if they expose their own hypocrisy.

I’m sorry if this angers anyone who thinks I’m complaining too early, but again, it’s not what Mario did that bothers me, it’s that people will inevitably complain if/when Sonic decides to do the EXACT SAME THING while Mario gets praise for it.

That’s why I say I don’t wanna see anyone get angry with Sonic in the real world…but we all know they will. Because it’s Sonic.

Poor guy, he’s doomed to be hated for all of eternity.

Why couldn’t Cats 2019 have just been an animated movie of actual cats!? Not those freaking humanoid things pretending to be cats! Either way, this is good content.

Finally something Hey Arnold related that has nothing to do with my fan character! I l know it's not near Valentine's day yet, but I’ve been making shipping art of underrated to nonexistent HA ships that I figured I might as well make it into Valentine's day thing. Plus I go back to my college course on the third of February so wanted to put this out quickly. I wanted to do this because I see no art for SidxSheena, ArniexGloria, and LorenzoxNadine that I wanted to do my part so I can say there is at least one. I suppose the wording of some of these cards I have a feeling it shouldn’t be used as actual cards, but I prefer attempting to be funny over being overly mushy with Valentine's stuff. Since Zekina had taken over me now, might as well share what I thought fit for them. I mean, I could so see this being a Boyz 4 Now song that Tina would listen to. XD Man, this makes me nostalgic for simpler times. Hilary Duff and Jesse McCarthy were my jam back in my Disney Channel obsession days. XD Still, this band name is one letter away from being a reptilian, crime-fighting team, what's up with that?

Flips Whitefudge Headcanons:

So um, since I decided it be really interesting to ship Flips with my BB oc, Willow I thought it would be fun to list some headcanons. The more I can develop his character, the better it is for hypothetical shipping art. So here we go! 1. Flips Whitefudge's is not his legal name, only his rapper name. His legal name is Philip J. (James) van Tripp

2. He's 29 going on 30 soon. Hip hop became his and his mother's whole thing when he was 11 1/2 years old. 3. His favorite snack is white chocolate covered pretzels (big shocker I know!)

4. Flips lives with his mother until his dancing and/or rapping career takes off. He's not a complete slacker though and does try to help around the house when he's not completely distracted with his hip hop aspirations (which is admittingly almost all the time).

5. He's desperate for dance battles during his mom's hip hop classes because any time he's tried to enter a dance battle on the streets, no one takes him seriously.

6. Whitefudge was originally an insult from his younger years that made fun of his cringy attempts at being street that Flips reworked to being part of his identity in a positive way.

7. Even though hip hop dancing is his main passion, he also dabbles in beatboxing, rap battles, and is a graffiti appreciator.

8. Shelly is a single parent and got her son and herself deeply invested in hip hop 18 1/2 years ago as a trauma response to Flips' father leaving them (can't decide if I want it to be abandonment or death though). That's right, I'm making the cringy humor of Shelly and Flips linked to angst. Why can't I let just things not be that deep?! 9. "Malibu's Most Wanted" is Flips' favorite so-bad-it's-good, guilty pleasure movie to watch every now and then. He will deny any resemblance to him and the main character though. (Any time I see Flips I think of that movie even though I haven't seen it in years. So I might as well connect it to him.) XD

10. Shelly and Flips love watching "The Fresh Prince of Bel Air" and "Living Single" together. (Full disclosure, I never seen "Living Single" I just picked 90s sitcoms that were centered around a hiphop/rap artists. I love Fresh Prince though.) In general, their tv majority of the time stays on the BET channel or MTV (though they still mourn the lack of music videos on the channel). 11. Shelly bans Flips from practicing any breakdancing moves that involves his head being upside down to avoid potential neck breaking. She will lift the ban when she sees her son be able to do other intense break dancing moves without literally breaking anything. 12. Flips often thinks about joining Jairo's capoeira classes to help improve his hip hop/break dancing skills but has yet to have fully commit and finally join.

13. Flips and Shelly are one of those people that unironically dab, unfortunately. 14. Flips tried to be a disc jockey a few times in his life but he never got passed doing more than small events like school dances. 15. Despite appearing confident and charming, Flips is not so great at the dating game. Most potential partners find him way too extroverted or too focused on hip hop that it's basically his only character trait, which makes him annoying. He tries not to let it get to him though because he likes himself and that's all that matters. Someday someone will be able to handle all of him, he hopes so anyway. Okay, that's all the headcanons I can think of for him so far. I hope you find them amusing or potentially useful. Maybe I'll edit this post later to add more headcanons. Only time will tell.
