I decided to take matters into my own hands and did a quick experimental trace of what I think Flips' hair looks like under his hat. I gave him a high top with blonde tips. His hair looks like a half-eaten, unsalted pretzel stick and I love it.

It was either that or dreadlocks and I picked the easier-to-draw option. lol Hopefully, I'll do a legit drawing of Flips soon.

I had this made weeks ago. I had to wait to submit it though because this particular drawing is connected to a thing my character is going to do in Nettie's story, "As Time Goes By". Hooray! I finally got this out. I have been wanting to update and say that I was redesigning Debora's parents and also making her an orphan that got adopted in the process. So in short, I plan to retcon the backstory I have for Debora and will give her a new one. I was inspired a bit by Anne of Green Gables to make Debbie an orphan. Enough about Debora though here's some info about the parents before I one day actually go into greater details on backstory stuff. Zayden is an Irish/Welsh/Italian man that can play the Welsh triple harp and is a good cook. Amalie is a Swinomish/Bitterroot Salish/Black woman that met Zayden when she was abroad in Italy for college. I think I want her to be a special ed teacher for a time until she does something else, but I honestly am still workshopping that one and hopefully can think of something a bit more extravagant of a career for her. Still trying to figure out if I want Zayden to be a cook in a restaurant or he just happens to be good at cooking and does something else for money. Now for the bio parents. To make it short, they're both dead and it impacted Debora greatly, more so her mother's death. Debora doesn't have the best feelings for her bio dad as shown with the x on the photo. Sorry, I couldn't elaborate more on them, but hopefully, I can go more into detail one of these days. As for the story that my character is in, "As Time Goes By". Since that is an au version of Debora, that story would still use the old version of Debora's parents. Just makes things easier since her parents in that story are basically a more tame version of her bio parents anyway. Anyway, that's all. I hope you like the designs and I hope to develop all of them more in the future.

I Just Threw All Logic Out of the Window for This Headcanon!

I can't believe it. I just figured out Zeke's likely stepmom and now I'm throwing it all away for a headcanon that's definitely never going to be canon simply because it's more fun. XD Okay, you know how Zeke loves giving people nicknames. Well, what if Cheryl is a nickname and not her official name? I also found out that the owner of the flower shop next to Jimmy Pesto's restaurant is named Charlotte. Cheryl can easily be a nickname for Charlotte. So because I want to capitalize on this character's name, regardless of how logical it is. Charlotte is Cheryl and blue blouse lady is Zeke's bio mom, redesigned from the Belchies one.

Charlotte being Zeke's stepmom could add more reasons as to why he was passionate about the bees dying in "UFO No You Didn't" aside from the fact his grandma told the state of the bees.

It also has the potential to play into his view of weeds in "Bob Actually" when he pitched weeds are the right plant growing in the wrong place. Also, if she's the kind of person that can name her business "The Petalphile" I can see her as the person that has no issue marrying somebody decades older than her. lol There's still the issue most likely never seeing Charlotte around with a baby (as far as I know) since it's established that Cheryl recently gave birth to a baby in season 2. Charlotte is still very much a blank slate though and as long as she doesn't have any concrete bg details that can kill this headcanon, I can easily explain it away. We even had a chance to see Charlotte's house in "The Bleakening" but never did because they skipped over her after we saw Marshmellow. It also could add lore to how Zeke and JJ became friends. While Zeke's dad is busy flirting with Charlotte at the flower shop, Zeke could go over next door to Pesto's and hangs out with Jimmy Jr and thus becomes friends in and outside school.

Anyway, despite all the potential for this idea, I'm still aware it's very unlikely and prepared to eventually see it become impossible in canon. I love flowers and I just think the idea of Zeke having a florist stepmom that's next door to his best friend's dad's business could be a fun idea.

Anyway, until my train of thought crashes and explodes upon the wall of canon, this is the route I'm taking.

@konfuse It’s fine. She technically does but it’s Pearl’s voice actress and not her own separate voice actress. I’m not mad, it’s cool. I was just doing some wishful thinking. It’s more likely a fusion or a different character entirely. Although I’ve heard theories that it’s most likely a peridot fusion due to the range the voice actress can go with her voice. It’s similar to Peridot’s range of tone. I’m not saying it’s Lapidot, though. Sure Lapis is more friendly to Peridot now but that doens’t mean she’s ready for fusion again. I don’t see her ever doing it again anytime soon unless Steven is in danger. Just look at one of Roundtable videos about the subject. I don’t remember the title but he has some examples of Ashley Bursch voice work.

Not that’ I’m against a Lapidot fusion. Although, if I want to speak honestly I would prefer to see an Amedot fusion before Lapidot. I don’t care which one goes first, though I’m flexible. As long as it’s believeable. I trust the story is in good hands.

That’s my prediction. I know it’s a long shot, since it’s most likely just a Halloween special of sorts, BUT the possibilities are not mutually disclusive. I will choose to hope!
