wet hyuk ahhh
There'll be a moment when you realise you're 27 when yesterday you were just 17; and you wouldn't be able to tell how a decade passed away and your life got divided into before and afters. The fury of youth will subdue and nothing will really change but everything will feel different when you look at old photographs and blurry videos taken on cheap mobile phones. Scents will remind you of childhood and certain friends you don't talk to anymore, hangouts will become reunions and mom's burnt pie will become the best food you ever had. And I know on some days you won't be able to show anything of those 10 years but I hope you remember to breathe, and let go of the knot in your chest. I hope you go out in the sun and live a little, because tomorrow is 37.

Unreasonable Ideas
Something I don't get about this hellsite:
When an actually well written piece of media has a main romance that has... conflict, the fandoms just decides to ignore them for those two that had like... two scenes (but zero conflict) and claim that that relationship should have been the focus or go all quirky 'uwu the writers want me so much to focus on Y but look how I'm liking X despite Y being the entire point of the story.'
But when it's actually a bad piece of media with a badly written boring relationship... The fandom goes on of how we have to Respect the Author and how the main relationship that is so Pure and Good™ is of course the focus of the story.
It's almost as if they just like boring, baseless relationships in which they can... Project.
Consider:
On your journey to your new case, you meet a strange man. They're intelligent, sarcastic and arrogant, a true piece of work. You leave him speechless and angered. But what do you do when you see he's your partner in solving the case? This is your journey from your first meeting.
Writing about a child rapist did not make Vladimir Nabokov a child rapist.
Writing about an authoritarian theocracy did not make Margaret Atwood an authoritarian theocrat.
Writing about adultery did not make Leo Tolstoy an adulterer.
Writing about a ghost did not make Toni Morrison a ghost.
Writing about a murderer did not make Fyodor Dostoevsky a murderer.
Writing about a teenage addict did not make Isabel Allende a teenage addict.
Writing about dragons and ice zombies did not make George R.R. Martin either of those things.
Writing about rich heiresses, socially awkward bachelors, and cougar widows did not make Jane Austen any of those things.
Writing about people who can control earthquakes did not make N.K. Jemisin able to control earthquakes.
Writing about your favorite characters and/or ships in situations that you choose does not make you a bad person.
It’s a shame that in this day and age these things need to be said.
