Iâm in love with your requested oneshots with Loki!!! đ°
Maybe youâll find the time to write something for me too?đ
This scene is living in my head rent-free for a few days now; Thor is visited by a princess from another realm (theyâre friends?) who dragged her little sister -reader- with her. Their relationship is quite similar to Thor and Loki's. The reader frequently plays bad jokes on her big sister and is a cheeky badass in general. In Asgard the reader logically meets Loki and their wits instantly match. Loki's very much intrigued by herâŚ
Summary: The Princesses of Vanaheim come to visit their old friend Thor for a week of feasts and festivals, but itâs Loki who notices some odd (and interesting) similarities between himself and you, the younger Vanir maiden, and he canât help but want to know you better.

âGreetings, my lovely Vanir sisters!â hollered Thor with jovial grandiose, standing next to Heimdall, but quickly running down to greet the two fair Princesses of Vanaheim as they crossed the last bit of the Rainbow Bridge into Asgard, his arms open wide and already prepared for embraces.
Behind him stood Loki, tall and quiet, staying behind and referring to observe. After all, these were Thorâs friends from past military exercises, and Loki had never met either of them. He barely wanted to be here, and he felt himself already growing bored. He had a week of feasts, games, dances, and plays awaiting him, and yet he felt no excitement in the prospect of being on his best behavior in front of two women who were strangers to him.
Princess Ilse, the beautiful, blonde-haired heir to the throne of Vanaheim, gracefully strolled right into his arms, smiling widely. âMy old friend,â she whispered in his ear. âItâs been too long!â
âIndeed, my dear! Welcome to Asgard! But, I invited two Princesses to stay with us, as I recall,â Thor mentioned, looking around and seeing no one else approaching. âDid Princess Y/N refuse my call? She isnât ill, I hope?â
Ilse looked behind her. âOh no,â she moaned. âThat canât be good. Sheâs supposed to be right behind me.â
Thor laughed. âMaybe sheâll show up in your closet to startle you later.â
Ilse nodded in agreement. âYes, thatâs Y/Nâs way.â
Thor turned around and gestured to Loki. âBrother! Donât be a wallflower! Come, meet our guestsâŚor rather guest!â
Loki sighed quietly and slowly went to join his brother. Once he met the others, he clicked his heels and bowed stiffly at the hip. âPrincess Ilse,â he acknowledged cordially, âI humbly welcome you to our home. I pray your stay is pleasâoof!â
Thor pulled Loki by the arm so that he stood even closer. âOh, come now, Loki!â he said, slapping his brother on the back, interrupting his greeting. âWe have two beautiful women staying with us, and we have an entire week of nothing but the finest and most exciting celebrations in order to commemorate the continued alliance between our countries.â
âNow, Thor,â warned Ilse, âIf youâre trying to court me, do recall that I am open about my lusts falling to women and not men. I hope you didnât forget.â
Thor quickly shook his head. âNot at all, my Lady. In fact, I can think of several gorgeous noblewomen who would love to share your company, and perhaps your bed, this week.â
Now, Princess Ilse smiled. âYou do know my heart, my old friend.â
Neither of them noticed the small green snake slithering up Ilseâs shoulder, carefully hovering in wait just below her ear, underneath her long, loose hair. Loki, however, noticed, and didnât say a word. The snake made eye contact with him, and Loki could have sworn it winked at him.
âSo, Thor, are you and your younger brother going to escort me to the palace, or must I call for aâOUCH!!!!â
The Princessâ sudden distress came from the snake finally deciding to go for the ear, nibbling on the dangling lobe for a moment, until Ilse began shaking and swatting. Thor, clueless, looked confused as Ilse panickedâŚuntil he saw the little snake.
Loki smiled in spite of himself. This feels oddly familiarâŚ
The snake fell to the ground in front of Ilse, who finally stopped flailing long enough to look down at her feet. âDamn you, Y/N. Not here! Weâre guests, you fool!â
Loki stared in amusement as you slowly came out of your snake form, turning into another lovely Princess of Vanaheim, kneeling playfully at your sisterâs feet.
âWhat, sister? I wanted to break the ice!â you joked, grinning and slowly getting to your feet, adjusting your skirts, shaking out the rumples.
âIâll break more than that if you donât behave,â Ilse warned.
âYes, Mother,â you groaned, acquiescing to a polite, formal curtsy that radiated less cordiality and more of a mocking spirit. âGoodness, canât a woman just BE a snake for five minutes without something going wrong?â
Loki cut himself between you and Thor, his chin a little higher, his posture a little more relaxed. âIâm afraid Thor may not be familiar with the struggle, but as it so happens, I do,â he said, taking your hand in his and giving it a light kiss. âI am Prince Loki, Second Son of Asgard. I welcome you to my home, Princess.â
You returned the smile with a warm grin of your own, happy to see at least one of the Princes was attractive! âI am Princess Y/N, and, I must say, itâs already a pleasure to meet you, Son of Asgard.â
Thor raised an eyebrow and looked at Ilse. Meanwhile, Loki found himself charmed by this fellow lover of chaos.
âAs much as I fear the potential mischief that could arise from this, Loki, will you be Princess Y/Nâs escprt for the week while I tend to her lovely sister?â Thor asked, offering an arm to the elder, who graciously took it.
âI would be honored,â he replied, also offering an arm, which you were glad to take.
Perhaps the week might not be such a chore, after all, he thought to himself.
âSo, Y/N, I didnât realize the second daughter of Vanaheim possessed seidr,â he began as the four of you began making your way to the palace. âYou use it beautifullyâŚâ
Behind you, Ilse leaned in to whisper in Thorâs ear. âYou shouldnât have done that. Putting them together is just asking for trouble.â
Thor sighed. âI suppose that remains to be seen,â he said cautiously, looking ahead as you and Loki were already walking in sync, talking in voices low enough so he couldnât listen to your devious plotting.
--------------------------------------------------
The week flew by for Loki, surprisingly enough. He had you to thank for that.
Thor and Ilse couldnât escape the pranks the pair of you pulled throughout the festivities. At a ceremonial play presented at the feast on the first night, you switched doors so that when Ilse walked through one, she found herself under the spotlight on the stage instead of in the washroom.
At a sporting even the following day, Loki sent the jousters through a tiny portal that led them right to the private box Thor and Ilse shared, causing mounts and riders to clamber through the small space and wreak havoc. Then, at your suggestion, he cloned himself and popped up sitting behind each rider as they began their charge, causing several of them to shout and fall off of their mounts.
You turned your sisterâs skin green as she flirted with a pretty lady in waiting. Loki made Thor go bald as he stood to give a toast at a feast. You both worked together to make the platters of roasted geese come to life and fly around Odinâs hall.
Neither you, nor the Prince ceased your laughter the entirety of the week.
Loki was impressed with your creativity and wit as you both took pleasure from tormenting your older siblings. You refused to part, appearing at every event as a pair. The Asgardians began whispering amongst themselves, noting the natural chemistry and the consistent laughter you seemed to share with their Prince.
On the final night of your visit, after ducking away from the revelries, you and Loki walked side-by-side through the palace gardens, choosing to stop and sit by a fountain to watch the stars dot the twilight sky.
âMy sister is the brawns, I am the brains,â you were explaining to Loki, who was enthusiastically asking to know more about you. âI was only sent to the same military academies she and Thor were because on Vanaheim, no matter where you fall in the line of succession, you have to meet Vanir standards of excellence. Itâs a lot of pressure,â you admitted. âIlse is a master with an axe, and sometimes my magic paled in comparison to her raw power on the battlefield.â
Loki nodded. âLiving in the shadow of the better sibling, I know exactly how that feels,â he mused. He was becoming more and more intrigued by your similarities, and combined with his growing attraction to your beauty and physical form, he couldnât help but wonder if he was falling in love for the first time.
âWhatâs worse is that after I go back,â you continued, âMy father the King is going to start looking for suitors for me.â
Loki swallowed in disappointment. âHe wonât match your sister first?â
You shook your head, shivering to yourself at what you had to look forward to. âShe likes women. She doesnât intend to marry a man just for the sake of producing a Crown Prince or Princess. She gets the throne, but I get the duty of bearing the next generation of royals,â you groaned bitterly. âIt means I have to stay in Vanaheim and either marry a generalâs son, or someone from another Realm must agree to renounce his country and become Vanir for my hand.â
Lokiâs shoulders dropped. This was a problem, but if anything, Loki was cunning and determined. Heâd gone his entire life without a woman piquing his fancy before now, and he wasnât going to surrender so easily.
âI do want children, but canât Ilse just adopt? I want my freedom,â you said softly. âThis week has been, well, Norns, itâs been the best week of my life, and I owe it to you.â
Loki took your hands in his, taking in your smile and making a permanent memory of it, in case it had to last forever. âWouldnât it be wonderful if we could live like this for the rest of time?â said Loki. âLiving in chaos and laughter, letting our big siblings have their glories and crowns while we create our own, away from restriction?â
You nodded eagerly. âYou mean, instead of making babies and obeying protocol?â
He shrugged. âI think youâll make beautiful children with whoever you take to husband,â he said, taking a hand and running it over your cheek. âIt is only a shame we may never know what a child of ours would look like.â
You felt your skin run hot at the comment. âYou could come back with me, you know? A Prince of Asgard would be a jewel in the royal familyâs crown. Father would be ecstatic to find I came home with a suitor in tow, without his having to scour the Realms.â
Loki shook his head. âThor is reckless. If he doesnât come home from a battle, the burden of the throne falls to me. I cannot abandon Asgard until he comes into his inheritance.â
You hung your head, and felt Loki brush a long lock up behind your ear.
âI wasnât aware women could be like you,â Loki admitted. âYour giggles are like a sweet melody on a flute. If our duties didnât keep us apart, I just might cross the Rainbow Bridge with you in the morning just to keep the song of your laughter in my ear.â
âDamnit, maybe Iâll stage my death or something and stay here!â you burst out. âThis is not fair!â
âI know, Princess,â Loki whispered. âSo why donât we make the most of tonight? Thereâs a little spot out past the gates where I like to go to be hidden from guards and nurses and my family. I would love to take you there tonight. Weâd have a little more privacy there.â
You grinned. âPlease, show me.â
Before you could get to your feet to follow Loki to his respite, you heard two voices calling you from the far end of the garden.
âLoki?? Where have you gone off to??â
âY/N? What fresh Hel are you plotting this time?â
Thor and Ilse were clearly hunting the both of you down to keep an eye on you, in case you were planning some grand finale prank to end the celebrations on a high note.
âBrother? Come on out, this isnât funny!â
âI swear to Norns, Y/N, show yourself!â
You took one look at Loki, and he winked at you. âAre you thinking the same thing I am?â you asked.
âCertainly, my Princess,â whispered Loki, quickly leaning over to give you a gentle kiss, sending you into almost instant ecstasy. âAfter all, we have thought and acted as one all of this time.â
âWell then, by all means, lead me away from here, Prince of Mischief.â
You both quickly melted into your snake forms and stealthily crawled down the fountain, slithering off together through the tall grass just as Thor came through the bushes, managing to only catch a glimpse of two serpentine tails slipping away into the night.
