Result of brain mixing Baldur's Gate 3 playing with the different hcs about the Radiance once representing hope/then corrupted (I say many, I mean Ashe), ask nothing
I am also forever going to agree that it’s hysterical that you’ve been out here hissing through teeth for months about hating PK while writing him incredibly well
Though I also continuing to posit that being a PK appreciator heavily involves wanting to drop kick him into the sun, so liking him does not make him immune to going into the shredder. In he must go.
i was rereading my favourite W&G chapters, wich are the ones with PK and Hollow and i still think is so amusing that you didnt even liked PK that much and yet you write him so perfectly, literally histerical
SHRIEKS
To be fair, he's SOMEWHAT grown on me, and the worse the fandom butchers his characterization (which is unfortunately common in on ao3 x.x), the more I feel compelled to defend him. There's a few authors I know who do him justice (Ruthlesslistener, Dropout, to name a couple), but for the most part a lot of people do not seem to understand that he is so fucking nuanced and that he was in a lose-lose situation.
DGMW I still wanna stuff him through the shredder because I love Hollow-- but I need the world to understand that PK is not this cackling thoughtless emotionless evil person. He's a person who was in a situation that had no good outcome, and was just trying to do the best he could for the majority, while fully recognizing the evils of his own actions.
Nuance! Layers!
Let him be an onion!
And let me stuff that onion in the blender a few times!
1. What font do you write in? Do you actually care or is that just the default setting?
2. If you had to give up your keyboard and write your stories exclusively by hand, could you do it? If you already write everything by hand, a) are you a wizard and b) pen or pencil?
3. What is your writing ritual and why is it cursed?
4. What’s a word that makes you go absolutely feral?
5. Do you have any writing superstitions? What are they and why are they 100% true?

10. Has a piece of writing ever “haunted” you? Has your own writing haunted you? What does that mean to you?
11. Do you believe in the old advice to “kill your darlings?” Are you a ruthless darling assassin? What happens to the darlings you murder? Do you have a darling graveyard? Do you grieve?
12. If a genie offered you three writing wishes, what would they be? Btw if you wish for more wishes the genie turns all your current WIPs into Lorem Ipsum, I don’t make the rules
13. What is a subject matter that is incredibly difficult for you write about? What is easy?
14. Do you lend your books to people? Are people scared to borrow books from you? Do you know exactly where all your “lost” books are and which specific friend from school you haven’t seen in twelve years still possesses them? Will you ever get them back?
15. Do you write in the margins of your books? Dog-ear your pages? Read in the bath? Why or why not? Do you judge people who do these things? Can we still be friends?
16. What’s the weirdest thing you’ve ever used as a bookmark?
17. Talk to me about the minutiae of your current WIP. Tell me about the lore, the history, the detail, the things that won’t make it in the text.
18. Choose a passage from your writing. Tell me about the backstory of this moment. How you came up with it, how it changed from start to end. Spicy addition: Questioner provides the passage.
19. Tell me a story about your writing journey. When did you start? Why did you start? Were there bumps along the way? Where are you now and where are you going?
20. If a witch offered you the choice between eternal happiness with your one true love and the ability to finally finish, perfect, and publish your dearest, darlingest, most precious WIP in exactly the way you've always imagined it — which would you choose? You can’t have both sorry, life’s a bitch
21. Could you ever quit writing? Do you ever wish you could? Why or why not?
22. How organized are you with your writing? Describe to me your organization method, if it exists. What tools do you use? Notebooks? Binders? Apps? The Cloud?

26. How do you get into your character’s head? How do you get out? Do you ever regret going in there in the first place?
27. Who is the most stressful character you’ve ever written? Why?
28. Who is the most delightful character you’ve ever written? Why?
29. Where do you draw your inspiration? What do you do when the inspiration well runs dry?

37. If you were to be remembered only by the words you’ve put on the page, what would future historians think of you?
38. What is something about your writing process YOU think is Really Weird? If you are comfortable, please share. If you’re not comfortable, what do you think cats say about us?
39. What keeps you writing when you feel like giving up?
40. Please share a poem with me, I need it.
Is it time for me to show my first ever shitpost art on tumblr?
It is time for me to show my first shitpost on tumblr.
Behold, incoherency
PV probably knows by now. No help to their grimm.
No help from him at all
I wonder what would happen if the timelines of IBIMM and W&G collided and both pale famillies met
I have it on good authority that IBIMM PV would hero worship W&G Hollow. @dropout-ninja, opinions? lmao
Yes! Yes! The letterbox claims its victim
oh boy I get to feel embarrassed about being incredibly transparent, not the mortifying ordeal of repeat themes being seen
uhhhh
Dialogue or introspection and nothing else- self explanatory XD I have a dialogue problem. Things are emotion driven, or thought driven, and then action is driven by interactions, and the rest is a walking simulator in nondescript anywhere-land. The only thing that could be added are action scenes, because I go from never describing anything environmental or tactile to taking pages on a fight like it’s a DBZ saga
Anger issues- I have a tendency to give my main protagonists anger problems that steer their plot or come up often in introspection, ho boy. Often if they have a foil antagonist, they’d be guilty of this too. I’ve got too many povs that are just angry hurt people with bad coping skills. There’ll be plots based out of the consequences of actions, but there’s also just the aspect of having some empathy for them; you don’t have to forgive them, but you can see where they’re coming from and see that they’re people too. (I also just have an easier time writing what I am familiar with, and I’m familiar with rejection, bitterness, lashing out, and other unpleasantries as an angry person myself lol)
Fall from grace/dethroned power figures/gods/etc- happens to protagonists and antagonists in my sandbox often and I'm sure they hate it
intense (homo)erotic enemies/rivals dynamics- listen…there’s no excuse Half of the time I don’t even intend to set out for this to happen but it does anyway. I blame being a Transformers fan. So many hate boners and murder soulmates and homoerotic enemies ahoy therein. Will they kill each other from being stuck in a box together too long? Will they decide to see their familiarities and improve as people together? Will they make out? Who knows
Weird sadomasochistic vibes going on in the POV (especially in fight scenes)- this comes up whenever the above theme comes up and I have no escape. Fight scenes and memories of all the reasons you hate a dude aren’t supposed to sound so horny, and yet. And yet. You know what, I'll blame transformers for this one too.
mercy/cruel mercy- I have this habit of preferring characters to live, because character death means I can’t play with them anymore outside of the instances where it serves to impact another character/the setting in important ways. Since I was a kid, I’ve liked seeing themes of what ramifications would/do come from a character being spared, and its twist side of cruel mercy, whether because it’s the best option out of all bad options (stares at you, Wakfu season 2 and what horrors you did to my little child brain) or it’s a protag/antag deciding sparing an antag/protag is the worse fate and they’re feeling vindictive.
Nonhuman characters and inhuman povs- I feel like most of the fandoms I’ve ever been in have few to no humans, and either that influences how I want to see more aliens/constructs/monsters in og works or I gravitate to those fandoms first, but either way, chances are high there will be aliens, monsters, androids, artificial constructs, fantasy races, or eldritch creatures playing large roles in anything I make. I really love playing around with povs from these types of characters and just trying to keep inhuman povs inhuman but also explore how that would look. I’m not sure I’m really able to explain it but let’s just say I’m the type of writer to look at a one-off character like Armus in Star Trek TNG and then spend over a year of notetaking going ‘but what would that existence be like’. Happy to report that someone told me I managed to make a comprehensible but very non-human alien narrator (in a Godzilla fic lmao).
Becoming more than what you were built for- tied to my above use of constructs or nonhuman forces, because a lot of times their stories involve having been created to be a tool/weapon for a single purpose and then, after either rebelling against that or having the environment remove that purpose, the slow journey to figuring out who they are, what they believe, and how they’re more valuable than they’d originally be able to think. Also goes for 'human' characters becoming their own person outside of whatever destiny they've been told they're supposed to have.
Found family- I just Like It. Happens in almost any of my fics and (eventually) happens in my og stuff too (or if not, it happened and then broke apart and the theme is instead how the hurt of betrayal/broken found family is just as valid as its counterpart tropes)
IMMORTALITY AS A HORROR CONCEPT- haha my beloved, thank you again wakfu for cursing me with the horrors
I'll tag @inthegloomglow @void-rainbow @ganondorf--apologist @loveandscience @darksidekelz if any of you wanna play too
I was tagged by the lovely @willtheweaver
Rules: look back on your works, both past and present, finished and unfinished. What are five to ten narrative elements or tropes that continuously pop up in your work? Give a list of these things!
OMG this one his hard, but I'll try.
Self-worth issues: most of my characters have to realize their own worth throughout the story
Love doesn't fix your problems but it gives you the strength to fix them yourself - that's it, that's what my stories are about and always will be
Supportive characters - I don't like my heroes to exist in a vacuum, they are always surrounded by people that support them and that they care about
Lovers coming from different backgrounds - I have yet to find true enemies to lovers but my MCs always come from the opposite end of a scale
Dreams and nightmares - meaningful (prophetic?) dreams or nightmares occur in all my works. I don't have a rational reason for that, maybe it's my own messy relationship with sleep 😄
Gentle tag for: @astorichan, @ramwritblr, @sunset-a-story, @satohqbanana, @sarandipitywrites
Bullying works, because here I am posting for @ashyronfire. I have so much art for the fic verse set in/after It’s Burned In My Mind and the subsequent bonus stories. Here’s a set from the latest oneshot (as of this date):
Both the sketches and colored versions were done in hyper speed without care for quality. I am primarily a maker of shitpost art so What Quality, never heard of it
Sketches:
And this bonus, because Ashyr said Ghost deserves to sit on the table no matter their size
Reblog this if you want readers to come into your ask box and ask for the “director’s commentary” on a particular story, section of a story, or set of lines.
Or, send in a ⭐star⭐ to have the author select a section they’ve been dying to talk about!
Since @ashyronfire says I don’t share enough of the shitposts I make for their very-not-shitty fics, here. Have two from their Living Dead verse
Spoilers (??Sort of??) below.
Transformers and Hollow Knight live in my head rent free and teamed up to beat me with a pool noodle the last time I tried to confront them about paying. Finally has seen Shrek
