I Just love the idea of Shadow calling Stone "Dad" for the first time because he sees Sonic calling Tom that and just assumes that's what he should call Stone? Because technically he acts as his Tom y'know

Like

*Sonic and Shadow hanging out in the attic when Tom comes up and brings them snacks*

Sonic: "Thanks dad!"

Shadow: "Why did you call him that"

Sonic: "Well, I mean, he is? He uhm.. you know he gives me food and a home UH AND AND he gives me little scratches"

Shadow: "mmmh"

Later that night

Stone: "Oh welcome back! How was your evening with Sonic?"

Shadow: "Agreeable, how was your evening... Dad"

*sounds of dishes breaking*

...

Shadow: "Perhaps calling Stone Dad was not a good idea"

Sonic: "Whyyyy?"

Shadow: "He started crying and hugged me for 30 minutes"

tom saying "you're gonna make a lot of bad choices but when you make good ones you'll know in your heart"

and then robotnik making SOO MANY bad choices throughout the entire movie but when he makes his final choice to save the world and tell stone how he feels, he has his hand on his heart.
