Hi! Doomsday trio prompt- The Most Hated Breakfast Food. Not the best. The worst.
this is SUCH a good prompt and i didn't do it correctly :') here's what my brain did instead. at least it was breakfast themed?

Breakfasts Prepared in The Days Before Battle (aka how do you feed a young man, an immortal birdman, and a piglin in one meal?)
Day 1: Oatmeal and toast. A simple dish, but sincerely one of the most beautiful and put-together meals Dream has ever seen. He didn't expect them to feed him at all, much less prepare a bowl of well-arranged, colorful fruits in a vintage bowl. He stood in the kitchen, frozen. Eating in front of Techno and Phil might mean taking his mask off in front of them, and he was tempted to grab the food and eat in another room, like an anxious dog. He settled instead on tilting the mask up a bit. They saw his mouth, and they didn't make any indication that they even noticed. Techno had three bowls, Phil had one and a half, and Dream had one (he was too embarrassed to ask for more).
Day 2: Avocado toast with pico and eggs. Techno shyly admitted that they were trying to get through this loaf of bread before it went bad. Then, he went on some nonsensical ramble about how it was Dream's sacred mission to help them. "Forget the battle," he said, "we gotta get rid of this bread." Techno had four slices, Phil had two, and Dream had two.
Day 3: Omelettes and yogurt. There was something a bit comical about seeing Techno use silverware. His hands were too big for them, his shoulders hunched forward, and he used them so politely that you wouldn't expect him to be the most feared warrior this civilization has known. After breakfast, he absolutely dominated in a sparring session against Dream. Techno had two omelettes, Phil had half (but two bowls of yogurt. He was "in the mood for it."), and Dream had one.
Day 4: Breakfast sandwiches. Sausage, egg, and cheese, all in a biscuit-like bun. Dream nearly took his mask completely off at the table, and fumbled with the clip as he desperately tried to put it back on without showing more skin than he already has. Techno had his back turned as he was serving himself, thankfully, but Phil sat beside him. The old man didn't even look up from his plate, unbothered by Dream's dilemma. Techno had two sandwiches, Phil had one, Dream had one, and the dog whining softly under the table got two pieces of sausage from Dream's palm.
Day 5: Sausage soup. It was a piglin thing, apparently. Techno mentioned it and then grew quiet, enjoying the meal but never losing a distant, foggy look in his eyes. Dream watched, unable to think of a follow-up question. Between the three of them, he was not the only one with secrets. Techno had five bowls (the most Dream's ever seen him eat), Phil had one, and Dream had one.
Day 6: Pancakes and scrambled eggs. A classic breakfast. Phil seemed nervous about preparing the pancakes a way Dream would like, so he made them plain and provided a variety of toppings. Dream opted for a variety of fruit and the chocolate spread, but he said (with confidence) that he would've eaten whatever was prepared for him. Techno had four pancakes, Phil had two, and Dream had two.
Day 7: Bagels. Somewhere between preparations and trainings, Philza found time to pick up bagels. Dream found it odd to prioritize food with such a decisive battle on the horizon. He sat, he tilted his mask, he ate, and he talked to Techno about horses. Techno had two bagels, Phil had one, and Dream had one.
Day 8: Biscuits with Eggs. Or, as Techno called it, "Biscuit with guts." A poached egg was poured into a hole in the biscuit, making an interesting mix of textures and flavors. Dream wasn't the biggest fan of poached eggs, but true to his word, he ate whatever was served to him. Techno had four biscuits, Phil had two, and Dream had two.
Day 9: Creamy potato soup and sausages. Carbs and proteins for fuel. The battle loomed, and Dream was feeling anxious. He wasn't sure why; he wasn't afraid, per se, he was simply buzzing with energy that had no where to go (He wanted this to go perfectly). He asked Techno to spar with him again. He asked Phil for a refill of potato soup. "Remind me to get you the recipe, mate," Philza said, "If you can make mashed potatoes, you can make this. Good for travel, too." Dream replied stupidly with some comment about how much he liked potatoes. Techno had three bowls, Phil had one, and Dream lost count of how many times he made it while he traveled. Much later, he'd make it again within the prison walls, and he'd run to a nearby chest to vomit.

I like to imagine dream's athetic like a ritmic gymnast/ballet dancer on his peak, Slim and strong, he Lost it on Pandora but slowly recovers it when healing. This man's he has not as much streght as techno or Phil but has a better control of each inch of his body and can make cool tricks and jumps and dances. And when he heals and gains his streght back he'd use this to try to impress emerald. Yk then ambition to impress these men he respects and admires sm and also wants their attention on hi.
"techno, why is dream making a mortal with a Double jump and then is dancing the swan lake?"
"idk maybe a courting ritual we never heard of"
i'm with you on this. we're looking at a parkourist, a good sprinter and an even better endurance runner. he'd have lean, dense muscle, especially on his traps & delts from swinging an axe around. a strong, firm core. he wouldn't have the physique of a bodybuilder-- not with his lifestyle. he'd be toned.
he'd warm up by doing handstands and flips and other calisthenics. even if he doesn't intend it as a courting ritual it would still be fun to watch đź‘€
Maybe c!Phil doesn't know, the mask is always there to protect c!Dream's face. Most don't ever see it again after the rebellions and revolutions start. Maybe he finds out after Prison - when he's rescued the boy and heard of all the atrocities committed against him. Washes away the blood and gore to find a pale younger version of himself. And truly understands the horror.
NO STOP because i do headcanon this. i like to think cdream was careful to make sure that no one saw his face, and after sam took it from him in the prison, there was nothing left to hide. phil wouldn't see him until after the breakout. a pale, small thing-- a bit uncanny valley from his own memory of looking in the mirror in his youth. THIS is the monster his son hated, THIS is the one he called monster. this starved boy who looks like his father, after enduring the exact treatment wilbur would say he deserved
c!dream admitting to fantasizing about having a family with c!techno but immediately going 'i don't know why. i pictured a kid with pink hair. which could mean anything.' he's so deep in denial that he's ignoring his own very obvious crush.
meanwhile techno is freaking out because dream's in love with him?? but also doesn't seem to know he is which is a very awkward position to be in because techno would really like to, y'know, follow up on that whole thing please.

Merry christmas to whatever these two had going on
Okay so sometimes prisons will let people (as far as I understand) have some sort of religious comfort object or something. Dream was allowed a single mercy by being able to keep his mask. He hides it the best he can when people came to visit, but one day quackity finds it. He doesn’t like that Dream can still hide things from him, even in prision. Perhaps he hangs it on his wall, perhaps he does worse 👀
Oh poor c!Dream :(
warnings: prison arc (pre 14.09 and yes there is a difference), torture mention, dehumanization, starvation (mentioned)

It’s been months.
Or at least that’s what it feels like for the only prisoner of Pandora’s Vault.
It may have been longer. It may have been shorter. Dream wouldn’t know either way.
He began his day (or at least what he assumes is a day) like always - by waking up and trying to wash and dress his wounds from Quackity’s last visit.
Dream tries to do it before falling asleep if he can, but last night’s session left him unconscious by the end.
And now there he is - sitting against the obsidian wall and trying not to think about his situation. About the sharp edges of the wall and the floor. About how hungry he is. About how he is just waiting for the next visit. About how it is his only source of entertainment (if he can even call it that). About how he is just surviving, not living.
But does he have any other choice? It’s not like he can change anything. He has no allies. No friends. No family. No one cares about him. No one cares that he is being tortured.
They all know Dream. They know what is happening. They approve.
The voice sounds very similar to Quackity. He doesn’t want to believe it.
You will understand one day.
He hopes he doesn’t.
He reaches up to tug his mask down.
…
It’s not there.
The mask is gone.
How?!
Where?!
When?!
He looks around frantically. It must be somewhere close! The cell is not big enough for it to be hidden well!
He checks everywhere. Throws the books out of the chest. Digs into the water.
It’s not here.
Where is it?!
Dream is beginning to panic now. How is he supposed to face Quakcity now?! His face has always been too expressive. He has to hide it. He has to.
The lava falls down.
And there he is.
The visitor.
Sir.
No. Not sir. (Not yet.)
Quackity.
With shears in one hand. And… his mask.
(Dream doesn’t get the mask back. He does get to hold it for a bit. Right before Quackity tells him to choose: burn the mask or lose a finger.
He watches the lava for a long time afterwards.)
