I had to text my friends like a peasant because Discord shat itself ๐ Truly the lowest point of my life.
Okay, so I have actual character analyses on my alt, @rian-on-demand, but I figure my personal thoughts could be posted on my main
Mild Spoiler Warning? I only vaguly talk about the plot beats, so it should be fine.
General Thoughts:
This game really surprised me, I don't know what I was expecting when I first downloaded the game at 10 PM on my spring break, but I had a lot of fun playing it. The characters are fun and I like all of them, which is rare for me. I wish that the routes were long to get to know the characters better, but it's pretty good for what we have.
Game Length:
This game is too damn short. A little heartbroken that I now have to resort to creating my own content of them. There's no real promotion from the company and I have contemplated sending them an inquiry
Okay, now let's talk characters in order of when I finished their routes.
Rian Akatsuka
I am down bad for this man. I don't know if it's because I'm a dancer or I like his back story, but man, do I think he's cute. Especially wearing the big sweater. Also, his voice acting is just amazing. His route had me hooked from the beginning. I would hope the day passes quickly so that I could wake up and get coins to level my characters so I could keep playing his story. His route has a lot of twists and turns. I do like his character more than I like his route. It started to get serious, but the last chapter kinda took me out of it a bit. How do we go from heavy emotions to a dance battle?
Noah Uzuki
He's so cute. He was actually the first one I took a liking to, partly because he is kinda purple-coded, and I like his voice. Also, he's the cute gamer type, and I found his antics adorable. He reminds me of a kitten, and I want to give him all the hugs. His backstory also surprised meโthis poor kid. His route wasn't the most intense story-wise, but I did enjoy spending time with his character.
Ren Yuzuriha
This man stressed me out. Every time he would do something, I was worried he was gonna pass out or something. Like please, I'm begging, take care of yourself. He's the one character I didn't really understand before his route, I had the hardest time trying to fluster him. So I took it as a personal challenge. Ren isn't a character I have much attraction for but I still like him.
Finn Kinase
Broo I didn't like Finn when I first met him. He was too flirty for my taste, and I spent the entire main route just picking the options that ignored his charms. Then I played his route, and everything changed. Okay, I admit, I think he's cute. His outfits are absolutely immaculate and him secretly being the clingy type was the cherry on top. I was very invested in his conflict, and something about him being so vulnerable appealed to me. Chapters 10 and 11 had just the perfect amount of angst. It really showcased his character in the best way. This is my favorite route.
Shuu Ikouga
Shuu was one of the characters that I originally wasn't that interested in, but as I thought about it, I became more curious about what his route would be. When I actually played it, I was pleasantly surprised. His route is one of the more wholesome ones, and I think it really fits his personality. That one moment in his room where he was like, "I'm not sure if my parents love me," threw me for a loop in the best way. The MC really stepped up in this route, which is another thing I liked. I'm honestly really surprised he didn't cry because it really seemed like it was in the cards. I would want to be
Hikaru Kirishima
Hikaru! Had the route that I enjoyed the least. Nothing personal; it's just not my thing. I don't really have much to say about tbh. I mean, I kinda liked the fake dating trope, but it gave me too much secondhand embarrassment. Funnily enough, I had originally started this route before Finn's. I liked Finn in this route so much that I decided to switch gears. Hikaru is a personality I would want to be friends with, but not really date.
I'm here to run my mouth once again!
All I can think about are the shenanigans that must bless the House of the Hearth. They're such a cast of characters with a loving but incredibly scary "father". I like to think that hanging out with them either stresses you out or makes you laugh so hard that your sides turn red. From the sheer absurdity of what they can get up to.
I have been sent to the corner ๐
My friend doesn't want to hear about my headcannons so time to harass the Internet~
Hear me out: Genshin Daycare. Aka...Everyone but the Archons (plus Nevulliette) as little children.
Ugh it's gonna rot my brain if I don't talk about it...To the drafts!
Mild spoilers for the manga up to this point and I'm too lazy to deeply proof read.
Ciel Phantomhive is all I can think about so here's my thoughts
He's 13. He's a 13 year old kid surrounded by death and dispare. It honestly haunts me how young he is. Like I have siblings that age so when people go on about how anyone he is, what would you expect? This a kid that's pretending to be an adult. He lost his family at 10; he kidnapped, violated, and enslaved at 10; he watched his brother die in front of him at 10; and all people can say is that he's annoying. He's traumatized and a teenager. I'm surprised he's still going.
I cannot stop thinking about how lonely he must be. He's right hand is a demon. His servants are all people who have lost something or had nothing. No one there is capable of having normal conversations or social behavior (besides maybe Tanaka). I don't think he could ever just be 13 and it's kinda upsetting.
Everytime I read about someone close to him dying and the way he just moves on? I know he sad but dang does it hit hard. He doesn't know how to grieve and probably no one will ever teach him how.
He's really alone. Everyone tries, but no one is ever allowed close enough. I think he does it out a fear or as a defense mechanism. It's so much harder to feel loss if there's no one close in the first place. Thinking about Agni and Soma and how it ended and how he was like "This is why I told you not to get involved with me". So he knows he's bad news. Then there's the fact he's pretending to be his twin.
So he surrounded by people who love him because they think he's someone else. He also knows he's the "spare." Which fueled his decision.
He also definitely has self depreciating tendencies as show in the manga. When he has his break downs, we get a peak of just how terrible his mental state is. Sebastian doesn't help either so this man is really going in no actual support system.
His life is on a counter. Once the contract he has with Sebastian is fulfilled, that's it. Even if somehow he doesn't die, what would that do for him? Does he even have a will to live outside this? No matter what happens there will be no real happy ending for our Ciel Phantomhive. His story will always be a tragedy.
I'm literally have been in this fandom for about a day. Found it yesterday and haven't been the same....but uh- how do you say the group name?
ALL โฟtuis
The mfs hit me with a goddamn triangle and expect me to be good?
Please this is a cry for help.
I played the Arlecchino story quest- it's yappin time! Or time for a kinda long post.
I'll fix the spelling eventually
Spoilers ahead
More analysis! Except we're going through sequentially because that's how I remember it!
1. Lyney is the big brother to everyone in the house
The way he could talk everyone so easily was cute to see. He seems so unbothered by everyone's little quirks. Like- taking to those kids and dropping the most diabolical lore? Kinda scary I'm not gonna lie. Even if unintentionally, a lot of people look up to him. Although, there is the question of how much of his interactions are masking because he does have a silver tongue. Either way, he's definitely the ring leader.
2. Lyney is the cooking sibling
This one isn't actually all that important but I think it's cute. His big brother energy is strong.
3. Lyney hates having secrets kept from him
I think that this one is kinda ironic, but then again, it could be because he keeps secrets he knows how it feels. Also- that line about Freminet lying to him was disrespectful. My jaw hit the floor when he went "You're not like me- your lying skills still need some work." Even if it's true just damn. It's very clear though that the fact Fremi was hiding something hurt him. It seems that at moments like this his passion can be the downfall as we witness the world's most awkward argument. Which resulted in Fremi crying and I must wonder how often this happens.
4. He has the entire roster memorized.
I for one, am still not over this fact. When you ask about Clervie's name he's instantly like: Nope! Not in the roster. It's the same with Perrie. Perhaps this is just me, but that seems like a lot of people to just know of the top of your head.
5. Lynette is almost as good at stealth as Arlecchino.
When they do the first bump and Lynette scares the soul out of everyone involved made me realize something. Maybe it's a combination of her cat features and personality, but she's quiet. The way she made her entrance was so reminiscent of Arlecchino earlier and she was definitely trained in it by her. It's absolutely adorable how much she emulate her "Father."
6. Lyney's voice rises when he breaks composure.
This is possibly just because of the amazing acting of his English VA but I'd like to think it's true. So you can able this one more of a headcanon with evidence. It happens a few times, mostly towards the end but this it the first time it happens. He was so surprised by Lynette that he just completely loses his composure for a second and practically squeaks for a second. He then obviously fixes it but it's a nice moment. Later, he's just desperate but we'll get to that.
7. A lot of the stories we hear about Arlecchino are misconceptions.
This woman is so freaking scary. I just have to say it, I could feel the tension through the screen as we talked. Thank god for child because I was stressed. What we do learn from this besides the fact she's not one for conversation is that they're a lot of half truths about her. This woman would let you call her by the wrong name of it benefits her so everyone saying she's a backstabber and crazy is far from the full story. Childe got his information from the Rooster which uh- was phrased in a weird way. However, she saw no reason to really correct it, so she didn't. Scaramouche however, I'm starting to wonder if he's speaking from personal experience. He's clearly witnessed something and now I wanna know what.
8. Lyney's lying skills were definitely improved by Arlecchino.
Miss Girly is the queen of misinformation and it's clear Lyney learned from him. Like I'm talking to this woman and she's so manipulative I'm doubting myself- AND I WENT IN KNOWING THE STORY! The way she side steps and misdirects is so reminiscent of Lyney that I got deja vu. The main difference is Arlecchino is so much colder so she doesn't break easily. Lyney is an absolute softy and can break way easier.
9. Arlecchino is not fond of the other harbingers.
This is pretty clear in her voice lines and is also obvious because of her personality. However, this is something about watching her shit talk her coworkers in front of me that I'm just living for. Especially with the new plan Project Stuzha? Girly pop isn't having that shit. If she pulls up, I wanna witness this.
10. Lynette is Lyney's voice of reason.
I feel like I've said this before but it deserves to be said again because she's the second baddest bitch alive. Arlecchino is the first.
11. Lyney's angry eyes are unnerving to me.
Maybe this is just me but then is eyes narrow it makes me wanna back away. I don't know if it's because of the way he presents himself but it just gives a certain vibe. I find that vibe slightly terrifying.
12. The reason Lyney is the next king and his passion.
Now, this was a question I had ever since Lyney came out. Seeing him in the Archon Quest had me wondering why he was the next director. Then during the last part of this quest I realized something. It was like a moment of recognition. I think when he stood up to defend everyone. The way he was so determined was really touching. It's also something I already knew. In the Fortress when he charged at Wriothesley was a moment of desperation. Then here, he stands to duel the freaking Knave. He obviously knew the was no way he could win but he wasn't gonna give up with his family on the line. His passion and conviction for his family know no bounds, after all, it's how he got his vision in the first place. Every part of his character and lore just screams family man. The way he's so dedicated to the big brother role and protection those close fits perfectly for what the Knave hopes the House becomes. However, it's this same damn passion that has him disregarding his health and jumping in front of Lynette with no way to parry and his squishy ass body.
Bro this is literally everything I've ever looked for. How did they know?

he was in the seventh heaven the second your answer loads inside his head. it feels like a dream come true playing right before his very eyes. you, in earnest, agreed to his request of braiding his hair. he knew you would almost always move away from his cheeky displays of affections, therefore, this was a giant achievement to him.
โare you okay there, venti?โ you wave a hand across his face left then right. honestly speaking, his silence causes shivers down your spineโฆ it was never a good sign.
he blinks once, twice until he was fully out of his trance-like state. his lips curve into a coy smile, as he tells you, โhe, he. itโs nothing you should worry your pretty head, darling; โjust deep in thought is all.โ
you eye him skeptically, you didnโt buy it. however, you ease off after you figured he had no intention of confiding a word to you.
โif you say soโฆโ
excitement cannot describe the gamble of emotions he felt. if he had a tail like the hybrid citizens, it wouldโve been wagging along throughout the whole ordeal. his avidity was staggering to witness in real time. he had the stubbornness of a mule and you frequently needed to pester him to move.
it all happens in the blink of an eye. he stands up to grab his brush from his bathroom then sits down in front of you with his hair down, bangs perfectly framing his face. he didnโt waste a moment to steer your hands to start working on his messy locks.
he hums a random tune to himself to keep him occupied as you part the side of his bangs into three sections.
what would typically cost him five to six minutes of his time took you nearing sixteen. admittedly, when he did his hair at the early break of dawn, it was braided haphazardly. you, on the other hand, wanted it to at least look neat.
โare you done yet?โ
โumโฆ not quiteโฆโ you mumble, as you comb the rest of his bangs on the other side.
the couple minutes of braiding youโve just done will take as long as a whole go-round from there, so you think. he huffs at you as if he werenโt an almighty archon but the common rascal and hums another soft tune to keep himself company. as you reach halfway, your hand shakes from the concentration it exerted while you work.
alas, it was a matter of time before his boredom won and he did what he can to humor it in the meantimeโyou only wish he didnโt do it to the detriment of your progress by closing his eyes then leaning in with his lips pursed, ready for a kiss.
โstay still!โ you giggle, trying to dodge his attempts to place a chaste peck on your lips. your words falls on deaf ears and he connects his lips with yours, emitting a pleased sigh.

he feels pathetic for crawling into your window during these late hours into the evening. he swears under his breath; if passersby were to catch sight of him, theyโd believe he was another hormonal village juvenile, desperate to see his lover in absence of parental authority. swinging his other leg over the ledge, he steps into your room with the grace of a feline.
a corner of his mouth lifts when he spots you flinch from his unexpected visit. based on what he had observed, you were in the middle of preparing for bed. you were by your dresser, fixing your hair to avoid any tangles while you slept.
โscaramouche?!โ you gasp.
he swiftly places a hand over your mouth then counts to ten in his head to survey if anyone heard you. he lets go once he believed it was safe enough to speak.
โi need your help,โ he whispers by the shell of your ear. your eyes meet his through the mirror, it trails after his hand as it traces to the end of your braid and tugs at the fabric that held it together. it didnโt take long for you to understand the gist of his request.
motioning him towards your bed, you gesture at him to stay while you grab a brush from the top of your dresser. he toys with the ends of his hair and tsks at the lengthโฆ how did he fail to notice it had grown past his shoulders?
the bed dips behind him; his shoulders stiffen at the feel of your brush combing through his mane. his body unwinds when you start parting his hair into sections. he can tell the uneven cut poses as a challenge by the string of curses you whisper. warmth spreads across his chest at how domestic the moment plays out.
it didnโt feel real at all.
minutes pass and he could feel himself melt into the tender ministrations of you braiding his hair. he never knew such a mundane act can be this calming to the mind. his eyes were beginning to flutter shut until you pull away, telling him you were done.
touching your work, scaramouche was silently impressed at your efforts to tie everything together. not a strand wanders loose; and at that, you return to your dresser without a hitch. you had barely taken a seat when you hear him let out a loud cough. turning around, your brows raise to find himโฆ with his hair down?
โcan you fix it again?โ in his right hand, he exposes the split ribbon hair tie.
you didnโt think twice; nodding, you search your drawers for one made from better material. scaramouche smirks at your gullible nature and waits with no complaintsโa big first. there, in his other hand is the letter opener you keep by your bedside; on its blade lays specs of fabric frays. it didnโt take a genius to put two and two together and understand what he had doneโฆ
Do y'all....hear something?
Sounds like Sanji's character is bouta go through more development and I am not happy about it.
Like I can feel it in my bones. A Strom is on the horizon and I'm not prepared.
Y'all get your umbrellas.
Edit: So I figured out how to change text color :D
So I was combing though the Twins voicelines and story again because they're one my mind 24/7 and I've noticed some things. So now I have part of an analyst. This is actually a series of headcannons too because of I don't share my mind will explode.
1. Lyney only answers your questions half the time.
When looking through the interactions and voicelines, I noticed that for certain questions he won't answer and instead will just distract the Traveler or answers it in a roundabout way. I guess it's because he doesn't want you to know about it or it makes him uncomfortable to talk about. He doesn't really lie, but he doesn't answer either. He doesn't like to give information about himself unless absolutely necessary.
2. Lyney has a tendency to say some weird things.
Lyney says nothing about it, but Lynette has an idle line about it. What type of strange is unknown, but Lynette is worried about what he says. It also seems to be a pretty normal occurrence.
3. Lyney's chattiness is a front.
This one is actually talked about by both the twins. Lynette says that he's just more quiet when they're alone and Lyney says that he only uses "verbal" magic to get closer to other people. I have more to say about this but I'll wait until my headcannons.
4. Lyney isn't his happy or cheery as he initially seems.
This one is confirmed in his voicelines and story quest. He explicitly says that he believes Traveler would feel sorry for him if they knew his real personality. Then at the end of his story quest when you talk to him. He's a lot more subdued than he had been for most of the quest. He also says some questionable things and it leads to my next point.
5. Lyney doesn't really have friends.
He actually admits this himself at the end of his story quest with the empty auditorium analogy. He comments how the way he acts only pushes people away and after Cesar he doesn't really have anyone beyond family left.
6. Lyney hates how he lies.
In his character story quest and his actual Character story in part 4, he mentions how much is lying bothers him. It's practically effortless but by this point it comes so easy that it gives him an identity crisis. Lyney has lied so much and played the part so often, he isn't sure what his actual personality is anymore.
Note: I realized I have way more to say than I anticipated so now this is gonna be a series of posts.
Lyney Headcannons
Courtroom Headcannons
This stupid funky little magicman has taken my thoughts hostage. What the hell- I'm just constantly thinking about him. He's got so much angst potential.
Lynette is also there. Just being her amazing and cool and Iive for it.
