He’ll start leaving his hair longer and wearing your favorite colors on him more often, because he loves knowing you’re finding him attractive.

When Levi catches you checking him out, he acts appalled, absolutely flabbergasted, how dare you objectify him like this. He’ll roll his eyes and scoff, waving you off like he can’t believe you’d be so openly perverted like this, but then you’ll spot the blush spreading over his cheeks, and if you’re lucky, you might even catch a glimpse of his lips curling up in a playful smirk as he turns away from you.

He’s not always “stoic”, he just has a very dry sense of humor. Sarcasm, deadpan jokes and teasing actually make him chuckle occasionally, and he loves when you go back and forth with him.

He doesn’t have a great social battery, but when he loves you, he wants you around regardless. Sometimes his favorite moments are sitting together in comfortable silence, and having you rake your fingers through his dark hair, or scratch his back.

I think he has a pretty normal sex drive, but sometimes he needs a lot of foreplay to get comfortable, because the second that sex starts to feel like mindless fucking rather than an expression of love, he feels unnerved and off put.

He’s such a giver, that if you give him something back he’ll be absolutely touched. Make him a bracelet? He’ll never take it off. Bring him something he forgot on his way out the door that morning? I think levi is a switch, but he leans towards submissive because, again, he loves being doted on. He likes sensual touching, thumb against his cheek, fingers gripping his thighs, running your nails down his abdomen and feeling it tense up. He fantasizes about that kind of thing. He wants your hands all over him.

especially i think after he gets comfortable with someone truly and deeply, and he lies about something and because the SoleSurvivor is like his closest companion (the love of his life perhaps) they know he’s lying. and they stare at him, and he stares back blankly, then his mouth starts to twitch, forcing back a smile. his eyes will flick away from theirs and he’ll quickly turn around and walk away as he tries to pull it together and Sole is left laughing at how ridiculous he is.

i also imagine that’s why he’s so paranoid about giving you his “reset code” bc he set up a great lie (not really lol) and now he’s scared that Sole is gonna think he’s a complete ass for lying about that when it’s meant to be a test and a joke. I personally haven’t read it in my play though so he’s always coming up to me asking frantically if i’ve read it and my Sole just looks at him with the most amused look bc he KNOWS deacon is full of shit, so he doesn’t even bother to read the code.

He’s also a bad liar because he just goes too hard on the details and everyone can tell when he’s starting to make things up. it’s less lying and more, embellishments, at least that’s how he likes to look at it. When he talks about Sole though, oh my god the other members of the railroad can’t tell if he’s being funny or if he’s truly in love with this person. the way he tells tales of their heroism, saving his life and wiping out thousands of synths and raiders, just sweeping him out of harms way.

this is of course only when Sole is not around. and if anyone slips out word about deacon’s damsel in distress stories, he’d deny it until his last breath. red in the face and unable to meet their eyes when they ask with a teasing tone, a flat “No.” drops out of him before he scatters to find who the hell told Sole about that.

so yeah, deacon truly is more himself than he ever means to be and i love that loser so much <3

Very important jobs that are ignored in the fallout universe:

These are professions which have been historically used in western cultures - especially british and american - and thus there would be plentiful data able to be found in historical texts on how to at least start the process. Historical reenactment has always been a hobby and entire villages stand as living museums and have since the 50's -- so it's probable in the fallout universe that these things exsist. Especially on the east coast where fo3 and fo4 take place.

Cobbler - relies on skills of multiple other mentioned jobs; tanner, leatherworker, woodworker and often have at least rudimentary skill in said tasks to be more self sufficient.

Leathworker - belts, bags, decor, clothing, animal tack, they can specialize or multiskill.

Tanner - different job than leather working. They actually make the leather for the others to use.

Potter - pots and clayware. Not a confusing thing to understand why theyd be great. Clay is a resource that is reusable, and I'll go on a limb with this but --- not one of the depleted resources that was involved in the war.

Woodworker - so. Many. Things. From clothespins to Furniture. Plates and bowls, tools, shoe lasts, entertainment. Renewable resource.

Sewists - they make clothes and clothing patterns.

Weaver - they weave fibers, animal or plant, into fabric for sewists and cobblers, rugs and blankets. So many things.

Blacksmith - makes metal stuff, from tableware to door latches. Tools, horse shoe blanks, buckles, nails, grommets, and yes we can branch into weaponsmithing but im literally talking nuts and bolts not armor and cleavers.

Knifesmith - often is also the blacksmith, but makes your everyday use tools and utensils. Cleavers, chefs knives, hatchet, machete. Can make weaponry but typically works with the everyday items.

Miller - take grains, turn them i to flour. Now can make food stuffs.

Sheerer - yes, back in ye old times just like today people with wooly animals hired a specialist to come sheer them.

Ferrier - yes for some reason the only farm animal to survive is the cow. This is dumb, and is ignored for much preferred fannon. Also, even cows can use the care of foot specialists. Youtube has so many channels about care of commercial scale cow feets.

The list continues, but these are just like.. my basic "what every region needs at least one of." And by region, I mean every 3-5 settlement span. Of course, that number varies as well, depending on innumerable variables.

Anyway. People need to look to the past, further than just the 20-21st century to get an idea of what would be needed to help the fallout apoc wasteland thrive.

When I say that "no one cares about/likes Astarion," you need to pay attention to storytelling and character development. It's part of Astarion's entire arc and EXTREMELY hard to miss.

He tells you several times that no one cares about him throughout the game, and because of his arc, he is right. He even has a rant about it after his siblings try to kidnap him in Act 3. No one is like Tav. No one gives a damn. Tav is the only one who remains at his side, going above and beyond for him, and is the only one making a change in his life. It could be why he's such a ride-or-die for them, no matter their decisions. This means that none of the other companions are all that interested in doing that for him. They are just there because Tav is there, not for him. Astarion only got as far as he did because Tav is the only one who cares. Without Tav, Astarion will die in a ditch, or worse.

Hell, the WHOLE REASON he's the way he is is because no one cares for him. He's spicy in the same way a feral cat is and will only warm up to people who actively make an effort to help him or he feels safe around. He doesn't like seeing Tav helping others because he didn't get help when he needed it. He hates hero types because of this. If someone cared about what happened to him, he most likely wouldn't be in the situation he's in now. Even if you like someone, you don't want bad things to happen to them. You can try to make an argument that the companions do care about him, but it's nowhere near enough for Astarion to take notice.

I would say not to hinge on gameplay to prove this, considering a lot of it is mechanics and how your companions will side with Tav no matter what they do minus a few situations, but there are hints of it here and there. No one gets angry if something happens to him or leaves to "go help him". It's "he was bound to be trouble," "he was useful, oh well," or "We have bigger things to worry about." Even then, there may be a "he will be missed" comment thrown in but nothing else. I'm not even sure if there's dialogue from the companions from his Act 3 kidnapping because even Astarion himself doesn't comment when you save him.

Warming up to him is not the same as caring about him. It just makes one more tolerable to be around and the only reason he's around them is they have a common goal. Gale was blunt about that after being told to blow up due to Mystra if you don't romance him (though that may have been softened due to one of the patches). These are just a random gaggle of people thrown together for a single purpose and if you don't make an effort to help them, they stay that way.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE seeing art of everyone in the camp chasing after Astarion to try to protect him from the sun, but it only reminds me that no one moved a muscle to go see if he was okay and just commented on it instead.
