Thank y’all so much for the 20 followers!!! I’m going to be taking a break for this week. I don’t have any ideas of what to draw and i’m switching schools, and moving my sibling to college. If you have any requests please send them in I have no clue what to draw.

time to talk about the tour bus trio for an hour-

Well, actually, these three aren’t ALL mine. I only consider one to be 100% me.

Dottie is. (fun fact, the hat should’ve been spotted in the image, oops!)

So before I can explain ms long legs in the back, I have to explain Reese. (Green one). Issue is, Reese isn’t mine. She’s my sister’s OC. So for the purpose of explanation from her creator, here is a paragraph I asked her to type up on her.

Also for context they don’t exist in the canon of the games, they specifically exist in the canon of the english version of the anime. We’re currently writing a fic about them but we’re lazy.

Reese

Hi, this very original kirby here is Reese and I am the idiot- er, creative mastermind behind her. So unlike my sister who actually thinks about things, when I make a character they’re just kind of a name and a face. I don’t really flesh them out all that much, especially not when they’re just sitting around in my brain. Which is why it’s not a big deal that Reese was originally supposed to be a D&D character(winged tiefling), since all I really took from that was the name and the ‘person with wings’ thing. Turns out it’s easy to radically transform who or what a character is when you only have to transplant like two things. Once we actually boarded the Kirby OC Train, for Reese at least it was a relatively quick process of adding on some character traits(and questionable interpretations of the anime lore) and presto- a kirby with wings, which has been done millions of times before! I swear I’m creative. Also along the way Newt was accidentally alchemisted into existence when I tried to draw Reese, realized halfway I had made a terrible mistake, and decided to just roll with it.

 As a character, I’d like to think of Reese as the brawn to Dottie’s brain and Newt’s sanity. Her background can simply be described as 'star warrior’(and is purposefully vague so it isn’t overly edgy and/or spotlight-hogging), which could be pretty interesting if it weren’t completely unimportant to the fic she’s in, where she’s just riding around on a bus with her friends instead of doing star warrior things and kissing Meta Knight like every other star warrior OC. Might be good to come back to it and flesh it out at some point. But in relation to her friends, Reese is just some space weirdo who’s decided that the life of taping her starship to the roof of a bus and roving around the countryside with two other random people, occasionally doing good deeds and/or mashing monsters’ faces in, is the life for her.

Newt (Enutrof? lmao)

So now to Newt. Newt is what we call a 'sea chimera’ (Completely made up), aka a seagull mashed with a crab and probably a fish but we don’t really knoww… Anyway she was originally supposed to be a drawing of Reese, when I asked my sister to draw her. What we ended up with instead was 'enutrof’. 

Enutrof was revised by me into something much more… uh… normal looking. 

Now this is where we get into the fanfic territory, where my sister brought up that she wanted to write a fic. As we started brainstorming ideas we remembered Enutrof, and finally refined her into the Newt we know and love. (This was also around the time I learned Enutrof was supposed to be Reese.) I’m unsure where we got the idea that she likes to do art from, but it’s a small part of her character that I refuse to let go of now. Here’s the sad thing, anon. We… don’t have much on her. Yeah out of the three she is the least developed, hell she doesn’t even have a BACKSTORY. All we know is that she comes from the rainbow coral reef before it was destroyed and also had some ties to Seaspring. But it admittedly isn’t very important either, so…

Anyway in the actual group she’s the most sane of everyone, and definitely the nicest. She’s a Sea chimera who wanted to travel the world but didn’t exactly have the means to before she met Dottie. She’s the most knowledgeable about the planet and wants to see the world with her friends, and isn’t too excited for the monsters they encounter. She leaves combat to Reese, the only one of them actually built for combat. How I kind of see her is the party heart and face, considering she put the group together and keeps them together.  Honestly never brought this up much with my sister, but I’ve been considering giving her some kind of childhood bff for a while to spice her up. Reese and Dottie are super cool and all but Newt definitely needs some creator love.

Speaking of Dottie

Dottie Dee

Dottie is definitely my favorite mostly because she’s mine. Originally she was made when my sister jokingly told me to make a kirby Oc when I was first trying to draw kirby characters. I designed her as an optional miniboss kinda deal, where she gradually gets more and more angry with each encounter. Her name was 'Dotty’ back then lmao.

But I just kept drawing her, more and more. At this time me and my sister were watching hoshi no kaabii (dubbed) together, and we hit tourist trap. At some point after watching it I decided to transition her to the anime canon, with that episode being her backstory. This was around the time that my sister joked about a kirby fic and we started writing.

So her backstory is surprisingly the most important, because it’s what we open with in the fic. If you’ve seen the episode and looked at the background, there’s always a waddle dee driving the tour buses. This is Dottie, in our canon. She got fed up the day after the episode, nearly ran over Escargoon (who she despises and blames her past problems on) and then ran off with one of the tour buses. Dottie is the brains behind everything, being a budding mechanic. Her personality is kind of crazy, since she doesn’t fully have one at the beginning and the one she develops is nothing short of loyal but mad. She can’t speak (anime) so her ideas are communicated through bad charades, writing, and a lot of guess work. Most of the time she isn’t afraid to jump into the fray although she doesn’t have any weapons other than her bus (and the canons she eventually installs on it).  Truthfully her goals are very simple. She just wants to spend time with her best friends and support them and their goals. also

With school starting next week, along with fall sports, I don’t think i will be able to post everyday like I have been. With school, fencing and a job I will be busy every week day and the only time I will have for drawing is the weekends so I will post as much as I can but that won’t be everyday... Sorry guys
