I Am A Firm Believer That Ocs Are A Reflection Of The Self In The Way That Every Character You Create

i am a firm believer that ocs are a reflection of the self in the way that every character you create has to hold some piece of you to really feel alive. sometimes this is why all your ocs have certain traits, sometimes this is why you can track your various issues and traumas all the way from middleschool to now based on what your ocs are like. this is a feature not a bug

The problem the israeli propaganda campaign is having is they kept repeating "unless you know the history you should sit this one out" expecting that would shame people into deference but a lot of people were like ok i'm gonna look into this

A lot of people started following Palestinian and Arab related accounts too

Encouraging people to learn the history seems ultimately detrimental to their cause, quite frankly.

Reply by Codanon @CodySkinnerFan
It's tough that when you look at the history it basically says that the king of England said it was ok to kill Palestinians to make room for Zionist settlers because it would be to uncomfortable to have a lot of Jews in Europe after WW2

next thing you know, everyone is reading Pappe and Said and coming to the conclusion: "holy shit, we're witnessing an ethnic cleansing and world leaders don't want to stop it"
Quote Tweet by Nonosbah (@NonosbahM)
But this did work for a long time with a lot of ppl.
What we're witnessing right now is culmination of years or organising from Palestinians and allies, as well as the impact of recent intensive education on anti-racism and colonialism and its legacies.

[ id: a digital illustration of kasarian's character, akku, eating a fresh piece of pandesal, made to look like a fake anime screenshot. there is text at the bottom in Tagalog that says "'Di ka man lang nag-imbita. Ba't mag-isa mo dyan?", implying another character is speaking to him.

akku is a kemonomimi character with brown hair and fluffy ears of the same color. he has brown skin, violet-orange gradient eyes, red eyeliner-like markings under his eyes, and blue scales on his cheeks.

behind him is a forest and a soft blue sky at breaking dawn with a flock of birds flying westward. end id./]

eng tl: "Why're you all alone here? You didn't even invite me... " (implied to be his boyfriend speaking to him)

i imagine akku going out for an early morning walk, and getting a fresh basket of pandesal (courtesy of his older sis-in-law) before returning to the training compound. hiraya is very pouty when he discovers his boyfriend isn't in bed with him :P

my toxic xennial trait is that i believe something should either be software (in which case after i download it i shouldn't need to be connected to use it) or a web page (which shouldn't require me to download anything to use it, however badly, in a browser). fuck your mandatory single function constant connection apps
