Inktober 4! whenever I’m stuck for theme, I invariably draw surreal beautiful women. (Holler @ ladies who keep the fluff on your cheeks, keep being fab. unfortunately here it’s less visible after I coloured it but oh well it’s there).
[This one’s blue because in my small collection of rarely-used copics I have a total of 0 skin colours. ]
Bonus: Inktober 3, which I forgot to upload yesterday
In honour of my Fave Strange Film, “Princess Raccoon”. It’s truly an experience. (and no, unfortunately the raccoons in this film don’t look like raccoons. But they do wear kimonos...)
more work on the game concepts
testing out how the carboard cutout concept works in the 3D environment (placeholder colours)
how I draw portrait on my laptop.
The only setback is in trying to use shortcuts.
On the plus (or not) side, it's a good procrastination deterrent.
More draw-y things for Artemis the 13-yr-old trans-girl freedom flyer - we got rid of the term pirate cause she doesn't actually steal things. She's an outlaw tho, and the government kidnapped her parents and she's on a recue mission to get them back! Most of the crew are part of a minority or two, largely bc we all agreed that representation is important in general, but also bc I have friends who are v precious to me and I wanted to give them some??? sort of representation, as a personal thing. I'll prob post something of those characters too.
The airships, clockwise from top-left (to-scale comparison). In this world, there's a tradition of making everything that flies, ie the major ships and islands, as pretty as possible, "so that on the day it falls, it will be a beautiful wreckage":
her parents' vehicle before they get kidnapped, built for speed and carrying essential supplies; copper-coloured support structure to allude to aid, but a more subtle balloon and ship colour to avoid too much attention.
a government vehicle, built for power+to impress, with vague Ancient Egyptian warship references, with a dark colour balloon bc it's a sign of wealth that they can afford so much dye, to stand out against the gold-plated support, and cause you know, general dictatorship references;
a merchant vessel: murky-yellow balloon bc who has money to bleach/dye that much fabric, not merchants anyway, basic steel support.
Teenie Tiny airship of the Artemis' crew. Blue to vaaaaguely blend in with the sky and generally avoid detection. Bit old-fashioned.
the model sheet is what I drew initially as a reference for the model but have since drawn over + coloured
Sparrows for the wall in mum’s kitchen. Mostly Paint Tool Sai, some Krita and Gimp.

speciesswap!HTTYD sketches... Toothless is a boy who spends too much time with the wrong people so has lost a couple of teeth. After one particular fight, he gets injured, and found in an alleyway by Hiccup, a small dragon that can't spit fire for some reason but loves to make stuff.
Toothless's nose came out so cute! ~super pleased
He isn't wearing shoes cause I cba to draw shoes and like drawing feet =P
51 animation exercises! I'm determined to do all of them, but for now, here are my attempts of the first three.
Final major project pieces for my foundation course! The exhibition went up yesterday so I have no work 'til they give us a summer project, so hopefully I'll be uploading more regularly for the next few weeks.
