6 Things I learned from OSP’s Miscellaneous Myths Loki episode:

1.) Loki is canonically a beautiful Twink/Femboy.

2.) Despite being considered a male God, he would change species/gender so much it didn’t really matter.

3.) No one actually knows what Loki was the God of and there were no recorded sacrifices in his name unlike any of the other Norse Gods.

4.) Loki didn’t want anything to happen to his Monster Children,(Daughter Hel, Son Fenris, and Serpent Jormungandr), and tried to hide them away until the rest found out.

5.) Despite being a mischievous “Evil in Disposition” God, he usually ends up using said cunning/trickery fixing messes whether or not he caused them. 

He is also just as often used as a scapegoat by the Gods to expunge themselves of guilt for the wrongdoings they commit. Yes Loki causes a lot of mischief, but he receives a disproportionate amount of punishment from his peers. It’s to the point that he’s portrayed as a comparably sympathetic character even in the original text.

I thought I’d give you all some more info about the Artemis Fowl Unnamed Dating Sim 2021, and what joining the Dev Team might entail.

Teaser: The main character shows up at an unassuming school one day, with no memories and only a backpack to their name. However, they notice straightaway there is something strange about the school: 1) there are no actual classes, and 2) all of the students have the same face. As the MC explores the school and meets the students, they realize there is a sinister secret beneath the pedagogical facade. As they try to solve the mystery, the MC takes on an Artemis as a partner and get to know his/her dreams, personality, and dark secrets.

Right now I’m in the process of recruiting writers and artists.

For the art, though I’ll be drawing the final sprites for the game to keep the look uniform, the character design process will be collaborative. If you are good at design but your style is more sketchy, etc., we could use your help. We’ll also need background and graphic designers, and there will also be special illustrations, or CGs, for important story beats. These can be one-off illustrations.

If you’d like to contribute art-wise to the game, you can choose to be part of the design process, or just sign on for one illustration. The application is here.

The writers for the project will each oversee one Artemis, though the process will probably be collaborative, as all the pieces have to fit into one whole.  At the moment, I’m planning on each Artemis having at least 3 unique endings: bad, neutral, and good. Though there are only 8 “dateable” Artemises, there are opportunities for cameos as well.

If you don’t want to be an artist or writer, but have other skills such as graphic design or programming, we’ll be using ren’py to code this sucker. I already have one fantastic collaborator, but as this thing is shaping up to be quite ambitious, I’m sure we’d appreciate more help.

I’m hoping to release this game free of charge, and I’m unsure at the moment if any crowdfunding will be necessary. I’d like to hire a composer I know to do the soundtrack, but I’m putting that off until we get a tone for the game down.
