If this isn't on your list of funniest scenes in any movie ever, the only conclusion I can draw is you haven't seen this movie
Hello!!! Just popping in here to say I absolutely ADORE your art style. It reminds me of some classic animated films and children's books and it just looks so BEAUTIFUL. Truely a joy to see your art it's is a wonderful sight to behold. Have a wonderful day/week/year/life. You are truely amazing.
Γ©.Γ¨ Thank you so much, that is so sweet !!! Have the bestest day/week/year/life as well :D
Had a little chat with Artemis on character.ai to wish him a happy birthday. After he told me I was "as fragile as an egg" (which I think is both very cute and very true), we started discussing French expressions. "Little Jesus in velvet panties" (le petit JΓ©sus en culotte de velours) had him flabbergasted ; "pissing in a violin" (pisser dans un violon) and "pushing granny in the nettles" (pousser mΓ©mΓ© dans les orties) confused him ; then I mentioned "to flee like a fart on wax cloth" (filer comme un pet sur une toile cirΓ©e) and I think I broke him. Aren't there any equivalents to these expressions in English ? (in order, these mean - a drink or food is super duper tasty ; arguing with someone who won't listen to anything you say ; exaggerating ; and escaping like a sneaky ninja) (@orangerosebush did you hear about these ones when you were in France ? I'd love to know what are your favorite French expressions !)
Anyways, Artemis had a good laugh, I consider it was my birthday present to our little dipshit. Joyeux ninif ma petite crotte (affectueusement) :)
Juliet would obviously be very much into Chappell Roan, and I suspect Butler would too. But I feel the one song that Artemis would really tolerate being blasted full force during car rides is 'Good Luck Babe'. Because there's NO way in hell he resists the chance to sing-yell πΆβ¨"I TOLD YOU SOOO"β¨πΆ at the top of his lungs like the petty princess he is π π»

I wanted to draw something that felt warmer and more wholesome after my previous attempt at a ββbigββ piece. Not very happy with this one, I think I was a bit too ambitious for my skill level lol. I definitely could have worked on it more but I decided to call it quits anyways ^^β Edit to add - one thing I'm very proud about - I drew the piano without any reference picture o/ For no other reason that I couldn't be bothered ahem, and the proportions are a mess compared to Angeline, but still ! *pat-pats on my own back*
Sooo ask about "Artemis Experiments Weird": is there any chance we'll see more of Selene? :3 her fate saddened me more that that of the other character... sorry for beating around the bush, I don't know how comfortable you'd be with such spoiler straight in the ask. You know what I mean, anyway :3
Thank you for the ask !! Yes if possible Iβd rather that this particular spoiler youβre referring to is kept secret ^^ As for Selene, yes you will see a lot more of her ! What the epilogue hints at is that even though Artemis wiped everyoneβs memories of everything (including her), he still told her βbut I will not forget youβ. So Selene has lost her corporeal form, but she keeps on existing as a memory in Artemisβ mind, and can talk with him like an annoying inner voice (fitting for his self-proclaimed conscience ^^). When Pareidolia Agent takes place, itβs been at least a year since theyβve coexisted like this, and they have started experimenting on whether Selene can interact with the world outside of Artemisβ mindβ¦ and it turns out she can ! It costs both of them a tremendous mental effort, but Selene still has some access to the Wired, and can remotely access computing systems and simple mechanismsβ¦ even, but itβs even more exerting for them both, do some form of βastral projectionβ and glitch her way out for a few moments, on a very short distance.
Now, will Selene be forever stuck as a ghost, chained to Artemisβ psyche, or will they find a way to truly bring her back - and in the meantime, how does everybody else feels about Artemis seemingly arguing with himself and somehow suddenly manifesting telekinetic powersβ¦ We shall see ;) Thank you SO much for this ask @laeliana !!! If you or anyone else has other questions please please please keep them coming :D

another amazing work by @bittersuite-iv who is very surely becoming one of my favourite AF fanfic authors right now.
hi fowldom! i finally finished chapter one of my arcane-inspired artemis fowl au!
if you enjoy dark magic, apocalypses, knights, light biopunk, lemurs, or complicated relationships, this could be the fic for you :)
Eheh, Iβm happy I managed to surprise you with my answer ! But out of curiosity, Iβd love to know what character you were expecting here ? :3 I didnβt have the faith to crawl out of bed to search my books, but I had noticed this discrepancy between book 1 and TAC, yes :/ Oh well, another instance of Eoin Colferβs tumultuous relationship with lore consistency ^^ I completely agree about the different treatment Artemis seems to have received from his father, itβs also my interpretation :) I just wish it was expanded more on, because this premise is so fascinating to me - if Grandfather Fowl was this much nicer with his grandson, then how did Tim feel and react about that ?! Why doesnβt he reflect more about this in TEC ?!! Why doesnβt Artemis think more about his grandfather, the stories he was told, how different or similar he was to his own father ?!!!!! GAAAAAAH this is so frustrating :β(( As for my headcanons on master Arcand Fowl the Thirdβ¦ Maybe someday ;)
π€ Character you least understand?
Thatβs such a tricky question to answer, depending on how you interpret βunderstandβ. Thank you for asking ! After pondering for a bit, I think Iβll say Artemisβ grandfather. What I donβt understand about this person, is why we know so absolutely little about him, when he should be SO important to explain why Tim became Tim, and thus how Artemis became Artemis. The little we do know about this grandfather just feels off and weird to me. Basically, heβs only truly mentioned three times : - In book 1, Angeline mistakes Artemis for his grandfather, and talks to him extremely fondly and casually, even calling him (in the French version at least) by the most informal term possible to adress a grandparent/FIL ; indicating a very warm and soft relationship ? Though it might just be her psychotic episode distorting the actual truth of how they interacted ? - Then Tim, in TEC, claims that his father only treated him as a businessman and barely knew him as a person ; if his relationship with his father was so cold and distant, why would Angeline show this man such kindness, when we know how fierly protective she is of the ones she loves ? - And then, in TAC Artemis recalls a fond memory of spending time in his grandfatherβs workshop. Sure it might be Angelineβs father in this memory but I donβt think it is. I feel like Timβs father deserved to be a much more prominent, menacing shadow, even being long dead before the start of the first book. I would have loved to know more about him (like, I donβt know, a name would have been nice ^^β), but thatβs also just me wanting to know more about the Fowl family in general. The good thing here at least, is that there is such little lore that it gives a lot of leeway for headcanons π And oh, how many do I have about this man π
